I just saw a member of our group install a console from a 2010 Escape and it looks incredible, so that's what I'm gonna install. Also for anyone curious Ford has a page with many of the differences. The two biggest are the brakes are 40% larger than a Taurus, and the radiator is 50% bigger. And ofc as mentioned the suspension. These cars are super sorted for such a heavy large car, loving mine. '15 3.7 AWD Also, if you brake really hard, the transmission will automatically enter pursuit mode, it holds the gears all the way to redline. You can also enable this manually by pressing the OD on/off button at the end of the column shifter. Um, let me think, the gauge cluster on the standard Taurus doesn't have an analog rpm gauge, it has more info, but it's all digital depending how you feel about that. I actually prefer the interceptor cluster.

Some of the older interceptors came in 2 different packages. One for the highway and one for city patrolling. You could tell with the vin numbers. It would depend on the year also of the vehicle. The difference was with highway patrol models. Some of those models received different transmissions and a few more ponies. It was noticeable in the Crown Vic's. 3.5 V6 is a very reliable motor, but most needed, a water pump change at 80 thousand miles. The Vic's were bulletproof with the 4.6 V8. Many of those vehicles made to 250 to 300,000 with no problems other than interior noise. I can't believe Ford stopped making cars. I may purchase my first ever Toyota after doing business with Ford for over 35 years because they no longer produce sedans.

Yes you can put an auto light switch in the car. 2009 to 2018 or whatever the last year of the taurus is the same switch. Plug and play. Just need to enable it in forscan. Did it to my 2015 interceptor.

The label with the list of stuff in your trunk isn't actually options that come on the car from factory, its the list of aftermarket equipment added by crown north America in the shipping passthrough program for the RCMP
That switch on your dash is actually called a Safe Stop and I'm honestly suprised they left that and the vertex's in your headlights when your car was decomissioned.
Also you no longer have the Odessy battery as it says you do, that woulda been the secondary battery in your trunk that sat behind an isolator so that the extra equipment that woulda been mounted to your trunk tray (which im also shocked they didnt remove) didn't drain the battery.

My interceptor has tethered doors. Not sure that’s a standard thing.

Yes, it is standard for Ford Interceptors to have the tether on the door.

Just got my 2013 Taurus PIS a week ago. If anyone can help, I've been trying to get my horn to work from the steering wheel. When I press the panic button on the key fob the horn is loud and clear, but nothing happens from the wheel. I tried taking out the trim pieces in that center part with the outlets and looking for those two wires you're supposedly supposed to just splice together, but after being in the car for over 6 hours I had no luck. I've been able to get the rear doors and windows working, but that seems to be the only big issue so far. I saw in the video you put in a little switch right next to the key ignition. I've seen some people do that and wire their horn to it, is that what you did too?

The horn button on emergency vehicles is often connect to the siren so you can change siren modes without reaching down to the console.

I'm thinking about buying a 13' interceptor with the 3.5 twin turbos. Not going to lie I'm worried about the longevity of it.

If you get the 3.5 or 3.7. Make sure you keep an eye on the turbos and make sure you know how to properly run a turbo vehicle. Most people in North America have no idea how to drive and cool off turbos to Long life.
