@Tunica Autochthonous no they weren't, they were AmerIndians, they are one of the precolumbian native peoples of MesoAmerica they were originally blue skinned like the original Maori.
My favorite part was the Mayan blessing you received and the painting. How cool! We are learning a lot about Mexico. It’s too bad this isn’t taught in school. I was hoping you would get to eat some chocolate. 😊
"My favorite part was the Mayan blessing you received and the painting." I am sure you mean well, but that is all just for show. I've been to a couple Mayan rituals that locals actually do, and they don't use all the paint and what not. I am not religious myself even though I was raised Catholic. I don't get offended by it, but for me those Mayan blessing rituals are somewhat disrespectful. Imagine if one of the popular tours in Rome was this random guy dressed like a priest that for a small fee he can do a mock first communion for you including drinking the wine and eating the wafer, etc. I would imagine the catholic community wouldn't appreciate it too much.
I love your channel, and I'm incredibly inspired by you. I'm also an American Travel Vlogger currently in Mexico! Hopefully we can collaborate one day soon! Blessings, love.

I really felt in love with the Mayan people of Yucatan 12 years ago. This is when I decided to import the beautiful hammocks they make to sell them in North-America. Everytime, driving from Cancun to Merida, I would stop and spend the night at the Meson del Marques. I think that the Yucatan food is the best in Mexico. Ek Balam is a little village close to Valladolid where you can see them weave hammocks. If you have the chance to go to Izamal (Pueblo magico) go eat at Kinish restaurant. Cochinita pibil... hummm. Love Yucatan
@@armandoadame412 it's your opinion, not a fact. I like when food is tasty, but you need to put so much chili on your plates to taste something... If you give me permission to have my own opinion I love Yucatan food, birria de Guadalajara and Oaxaca.
