You are amazing! I'm watching from Maryland. My 1st intro to Mexico was Cozumel in 2010. We rode a motorbike around the island as the sun was starting to set and it started to get chilly. The memories!💕
He actually saved one of the mayans chiefs from a gator atatck and was then well repsected and becmae a mayan leader. apparerntly he had face piercing's, tattoos etc. and when he met cortez (before cortez showed who he really was) told him that he now had a wife and kids, was happy and could never return to spain with all his tats and new jewelry haha. As you said, his body was found after a battle with the spaniards.

You didn't snorkel? Bummer! I love Cozumel! My bud Scuba Tony owns a dive operation on Cozumel, his guests post the most amazing pics of the reef! The lighthouse, if It's still there offers some wonderful views, but, you have to be careful to not get locked in. Like that's never happened to me.... 🙄

Have you heard of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo? It's in the state of Guerrero. I have roots in that lovely beach town. You should plan a trip there whenever you get a chance.
Nice video. I love cozumel. But have a question. Does I always forget my bathing suit really mean I can't swim? The snorkeling there is absolutely breathtaking.
Awesome my mom is from a place the was settled by the Poqoman Maya. We migrated to Canada where I live now, my daughter's is Maya. Funny thing is I'm also and avid cyclist and though I did get to jump in the water to snorkel with Sea Turtles , shark and other wonderful coloured fish. I did not get to ride my bike on the island. Hopefully I can take my family by the end of the year if we get this pandemic under control.
Great video again. Don't know how long you'll be there, but there is a really nice cenote just north of the Money Bar that is a mix of fresh water and sea water. Just as beautiful but a different experience. Also you must get to Cielito on the southwest corner of Cozumel. The water in Cielito is crystal clear and absolutely beautiful and must be seen to understand.
The guy that was telling the history was cracking me up. Once he knew you were videoing he kept waving, and too cute 😊. Cozumel is beautiful! Do they do any cliff diving in Mexico? If you come across it, can you make a video of it? I watched ppl cliff dive in Hawaii and almost did it. But then was like I like living so I didn't do it lol.

I bought my ticket to Mexico City for the whole month of October & need advice on what neighborhood to stay in while I'm there & whether it's smart to book an Airb&b for a whole month in advance. It's an initial visit. I'm thinking of retiring there :). Any advice is greatly appreciated! I've seen all of your vids in México.. You've got great content! Keep up the good work!
Hey Alison! I’m not doing consultations anymore actually but my friend lives in Cdmx and I’ve also been there and I heard the best neighborhoods are Roma Norte condesa (where I was) and centro histórico As far as getting it for the month I really don’t suggest it. Get it for a few days and ensure you like the neighborhood and Airbnb. :)
