Are you able to use the dual ride carrier with other strollers? With or without the wheels on? Like the Mockingbird with an attachment? Also how heavy if the dual ride without the wheels just the car seat?
There are no adapters for this seat. It works on the Evenflo Shyft stroller with the wheels removed. It possibly works with strollers that have universal adapters like Mountain Buggy Nano. It's 11 pounds w/o the wheels.
Yes, I had the same question. I saw another video where the lady attached the car seat to a different stroller and was wondering if it would connect to the mockingbird for a growing family.
Hello, does this car seat stroller combo come with the base? I don’t see anywhere you can purchase a base for this particular model. We are looking into getting this for our baby coming in December!!! Your videos are so informative!
Really insightful video, thanks for sharing! Quick question - when it comes to airplane installation, is it recommended to install with the wheels attached, or should it just be used as a car seat? Would love to get your thoughts on this!
Hello! Thank goodness I found your vidwo. Were expecting and I am considering this stroller/car seat combo. My only question is, will base/wheel portion, take a stroller or carrier for when the baby is over 40 lbs and growing?? Not sure if my question makes sense
Thank you so much for this video - SO very helpful! Do you know if Evenflo sells a base that would be compatible with the Dual Ride in a second vehicle?
The white footer in the bottom of the base you need to detach something to be able to move it to another level ? I’m not able to move mine at all for it to be at the blue line level
Did you try to press the button and recline it before installing the base? If not, you have to change the recline before installing the base. If you already did that, then you need to contact Evenflo if it is not working at all.
Can I see this installed in a smaller car? And have the passenger seat adjusted for a human to actually sit in the seat lol I’ve heard it’s a bit bulky I would hate for it not to fit safely with someone in the front seat.
I wouldn't choose this seat for a small vehicle. On our recommended seats list, seats that are compact front to back have an icon: safeintheseat.com/sits-recommended-car-seats/
Hi - just installed my Evenflo Dual Ride car seat. The base is very secure (moves less than an inch). However, I'm noticing that when the car seat is empty, the seat itself is quite wobby/rattly/noisy when driving. Is this normal?
We installed this using the lower anchors. The level line bubble on the base is in the blue zone, but when we attach the carrier the blue level line on side of the carrier isn’t level. Is that normal when using the base or should we try again?
Question! Someone told me that there needs to be a certain amount a space between the car seat when it’s installed and the back of the passenger seat. At least a 1.5inch gap between the car seat and the back of the front seat. Is this true? My husband will be installing this seat this week! Thank you!
For Evenflo's infant seats, this is true if you are installing the car seat behind a vehicle seat. If you are installing it in the middle seat, the gap is not required. The harness webbing is 1.5" wide on the seat, so you can measure that with your fingers and then check if you have the proper gap.
Do we know when they will start to sell the base? I want this one so bad but I just don’t trust the install without a base and it seems like a major pain. Due with out first 7/31/24
@@safeintheseat thank you! We will need to sell it. It doesn’t fit our compact car. I am thinking the Cybex Aton 2 would be the best fit for a small car.
My car seat seems to have a hard time detaching from the wheelbase when it is attached to the base. Im not sure if it’s something Im doing wrong? I can hear it click like it’s detaching and it’s able to move around but it won’t fully detach from the base.
Is it possible to install just the carrier without the stroller wheels onto the car base? I was hoping to keep the dirty wheels out of my backseat and away from baby because I live in the mountains where it’s snowy and wet in the winter Also, are you saying the only way to get the carrier to clip back into the stroller is to first have the stroller wheels attached to the car base? You can’t simply install the carrier into the stroller without the car base? Thank you for your helpful video and info!
It's not possible. The wheels can only come off into the base and cannot be removed from it unless they are attached to the infant seat. They cannot be a completely separate piece.
Nope. The only way the wheels can be taken off is by leaving the wheels in the base. There is no way to leave the wheels anywhere other than attached to the base or attached to the car seat.
I’ve heard that babies should not be in car seats longer than necessary, especially when sleeping. How does that rule apply to this seat? Is it safe for longer periods of time?
I had the doona with my last baby and really liked it. Now I’m due in a couple weeks so I’m debating if I should rebuy the doona or if I should just go with the Evenflo dual ride.
I’ve noticed that the wheel pads get in the middle of the seat straps I’ve tried taking the wheel pads off but they are so hard to take off what am I doing wrong ?
The crash test results are not released by manufacturers. Anything else you find would be done by 3rd parties who may not test the seats the same way the manufacturers do.
What would be the solution if we have 2 cars ? I was thinking one car with the base and the other using the seatbelt method but then I realized I cant take the wheels only without the base
Just do a baseless installation in the other vehicle. The wheels can stay attached to the infant seat, but you have to move 2 of them to do a baseless installation. The manual describes how to do it
1. What about flame retardant materials and chemicals is this evenflo dual ride green guard safe ? Also can it be placed forward and rear facing when needed for car stops and changing diapers..obviously while riding it has to be rear facing.
There aren't currently any green guard certified fabric options for this seat. Just like any infant seat, you can temporarily lay it on the ground facing whichever direction you wish.
A little bit, yes. The DualRide requires that you move the front wheels to a different configuration before installation, so it takes a few seconds longer.
I'm a foster Mom that could never afford this but I know how many babies would benefit from this stroller. Is there anyone out there that would help me get this for the babies or would the company donate one for me to use as a model for other mothers
There are a lot of good inexpensive options that would work well for you! Century Carry On is one of our favorite budget options. It's compact front to back and even fits premature babies very well! urlgeni.us/amzn/carryonusa
When it's in the base, squeeze the upper release handle that's on the back of the infant seat. This will give you just the carrier and leave the wheels in the base
This was an amazing tutorial. Thank you so much! My husband should NOT complain about installing this😂
Thanks for watching! He shouldn't have any trouble for sure!
This was incredibly helpful! I think this is the carseat/stroller combo for me. Appreciate you!
So glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for the step by step tutorial! Better than anything evenflo had!
Glad it was helpful!
Best Video explaining the evenflow dual ride !!! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great quality video. You did an excellent job of making a clear and concise presentation of the information.
Thanks for watching!
Soon to be first time father here thanks for the really informative video I definitely just subscribed!

Thanks for this! I'm so pumped to test this dual ride out!
I had fun playing with it!
Thank you for this tutorial. Very well done.

Hello, does this car seat stroller combo come with the base? I don’t see anywhere you can purchase a base for this particular model. We are looking into getting this for our baby coming in December!!! Your videos are so informative!
It comes with a base, yes. You cannot purchase a separate one at this time though.
Really insightful video, thanks for sharing! Quick question - when it comes to airplane installation, is it recommended to install with the wheels attached, or should it just be used as a car seat? Would love to get your thoughts on this!
The stroller frame is required when using this seat on an airplane
When seat is in the car, what position should the handle be in? Straight up or all the way back?
If you are in the US, any locked position is fine.
Hello! Thank goodness I found your vidwo. Were expecting and I am considering this stroller/car seat combo. My only question is, will base/wheel portion, take a stroller or carrier for when the baby is over 40 lbs and growing?? Not sure if my question makes sense
No, you will need a stroller once this seat is outgrown. But at that point, the baby will be old enough to use a cheap umbrella stroller if preferred.
@@safeintheseat Okay thank you
Thank you much for your help😊

I've seen this at my local walmart I definitely want it
I haven't seen it at my local Walmart yet, but it's a great option!
Thank you so much for this video - SO very helpful! Do you know if Evenflo sells a base that would be compatible with the Dual Ride in a second vehicle?
They don't yet, but they will in the future. I do not have a timeline for that at this time.
Any news on timing for this extra base?

Ok how do you get the cup holder on? I think I’m missing a piece
It just clips onto the handle. If you think you are mssing a piece, reach out to Evenflo.
Hi - just installed my Evenflo Dual Ride car seat. The base is very secure (moves less than an inch). However, I'm noticing that when the car seat is empty, the seat itself is quite wobby/rattly/noisy when driving. Is this normal?

The blue level line on the seat is for baseless installation only.

Do they have a release date on this stroller? I have been looking and no luck.
You can find it on Evenflo's website right now and it should be available everywhere else by the end of this month.
Does Evenflo make additional bases for this car seat and stroller?
Not yet
Do we know when they will start to sell the base? I want this one so bad but I just don’t trust the install without a base and it seems like a major pain. Due with out first 7/31/24
Can the bar handle go all the way back or middle is as far as it goes?
The handle has 3 positions: near the child's feet, middle, and near the child's head.
I am trying to install the Evenflo Shyft Dualride. Is it okay if it touches the back of the front passenger seat or does it need a certain clearance?
It has to have at least 1.5" between it and the front seat if installed on one of the side seats. If in the middle, the seat does not have that rule
@@safeintheseat thank you! We will need to sell it. It doesn’t fit our compact car. I am thinking the Cybex Aton 2 would be the best fit for a small car.
Do you know if theres a car base that fits when its only on seat mode (no wheels)?
The DualRide is only compatible with the base it comes with.
Thank you so much!!!!

does it come with the cup holder and storage bag? where would i order it if it does? and it is less than 29 lbs without the wheels attached?
Some versions do. The gold version on Evenflo's website comes with both of those. Without the wheels attached, it's around 11#.
Can you elaborate on the feature that covers the wheels to prevent the seats from getting dirty? Does that come with the stroller?
It comes in the box. It attaches to the base to keep the Evenflo's wheels from touching the vehicle seat
Can you put the car seat on the base without the wheels?
It's the same for all car seats, including this one. A safe sleep space is a flat surface. Keep time in the car seat to a minimum
How you separated the low part includingthe wheels from the car sit alone?
It has to be attached to the base in order to remove the wheels. The manual shows how to do it
Do you like this better than the doona ?
I like both of them. They are quite similar.
I had the doona with my last baby and really liked it. Now I’m due in a couple weeks so I’m debating if I should rebuy the doona or if I should just go with the Evenflo dual ride.
I have the doona but i am expecting a new baby… does this one have a base to attach on double stroller? Pls say yes😅
The Evenflo is not currently compatible with any double strollers.
Is it compatible with any stroller? I thought I heard you say that in the beginning
Can the handle go into the anti rebound position? Thought I saw that in your first video about this seat but not seeing it anymore
It's the Doona that has the handle with an anti-rebound position. The DualRide has an anti-rebound bar built into the base.
I’ve noticed that the wheel pads get in the middle of the seat straps I’ve tried taking the wheel pads off but they are so hard to take off what am I doing wrong ?
I can't visualize what's happening. Evenflo does free video chats, maybe check that out!
Do you know where we can find the crash ratings on this and the Doona?
The crash test results are not released by manufacturers. Anything else you find would be done by 3rd parties who may not test the seats the same way the manufacturers do.

What I meant was rear or forward facing in the car mount .
We also looked at the Doona so is that model also not free of flame retardant chemicals?
What is the safest seat to place the car seat ?
Wherever you get a proper installation is a safe place
Is the doona easier to install without the base than the evenflo dual ride?
A little bit, yes. The DualRide requires that you move the front wheels to a different configuration before installation, so it takes a few seconds longer.
@@safeintheseat oh ok, so if I am having a preemie, I should still go with the Evenflo?
Thank you

need a video showing 2 carseats on the stroller

I have the XPAND ONE AND SEE A PICTURE OF 2 CARSEATS IN THE MANUAL ONLINE BUT NO VIDEOS...DO YOU HAVE NAY VIDEOS ON THE XPAND ?@@safeintheseat
What are those loops or buttons for on an adult seat belt?
To keep the seat belt buckle within easy reach

I wish we could see how we just get the carrier out of the base, no one ever has that in any of the videos this sucks
When it's in the base, squeeze the upper release handle that's on the back of the infant seat. This will give you just the carrier and leave the wheels in the base
That is so much work………….so much unnecessary work.
Methods 1,2 and 4 are very easy and don't take any longer than most of the other car seats on the market.
Thank you!❤
