so this is my submission. his base stats are pretty good. he gets frenzy as a skill so no malekith. no hellebron or valkia. the only defeat traits he got are nakai, throt, wurrzag, sigvald, archaeon, imrik and gotrek. his harpoon building of his ship gives 10 melee defense when defending so kroq-gar was not necessary. he gets bonus vs infantry from skill line. united mind gives him +10 m.a., m.d. and 10%weapon strength. 135 WoM was from long campaign victory. I originally wanted to send him against skarbrand but settra killed him off. plus i had to wait for nagashizzar land mark and for a mathlaan's blessing to expire. hope everyone enjoys it😃
P.S : he's arguably the best dualist in the game as his attacks strips physical resistance. that's what happened with tyrion in the vid.

I've been extremely impressed with his performance in my last two campaigns with him. I'm not sure why I preferred Noctilus before, but I'm a Harkon man now!

@@Arkancide his unique item is also damm good on campaign, massively reducing raise dead cost. He is by far the strongest VC Lord. Noctilus outperforms him in the first 100 turns due to the necrofex doomstack - but after this? He doesn't need necrofexes.
Not to mention he can do handy work with his pistol shots which are much better when dismounted due to the angle.

Well in this stack he's finally got his mind united so I'm guessing he qualifies
Okay, so 1,460+1,437+465, which is the number of dead High Elves, is 3,362. Luthor got 2.3k kills, so we'll be fair and give him a perfectly balanced 2,350. The High Elves killed over a thousand of their own men with their magic.

Solo-killing giant hordes of enemies with a juiced up Luthor Harkon hits different every single time. so good
Luthor is a "do everything" lord. He has spellcasting (not powerful, but unless they changed it he's getting his spells without spending any points on them). He has good ranged. He has good melee. He has good survivability. He can get a flying mount. And he has so much style!
Also he has all his horde benefits, including a bunch of global abilities.
Too bad he has terrible unique skills

Doom stack videos and distaster’s are great. I appreciated the patch update video yesterday. However, there is something special about Legend’s thought process during a campaign, which is great to see in the “how to start” campaigns. Hope he gets the sub count for the livestream, because I kind’ve miss the live streams. Maybe a longer 2 hour campaign video every day could be good. I’d easily watch 3 hours of Legend’s content a day, I have no desire to watch anything else. It’s a great balance of strategic complication, fun cheese, expertise appreciation, humor, and unfiltered honest opinions. It’s RUclips gold.

Remember when Legend did the Saving Your Disaster Luthor Harkon series that was just people running into AI Luthor Harkon that had built like 3 doomstacks? Good times.

Luthor Harkon is probably my favourite LL in the game. Insanely powerful, unique within his faction, has meaningful quests, can just up and leave his home to go voyaging wherever.
With the army abilities decimating the blob alongside Vangheists Revenge I could see this being one of the most efficient one-man's in battle, it could clear armies in seconds. They can also help remove any of his counters. Great job!
That pile of corpses at the end could probably crash weaker computers.

Love the one man doomstack though. Despite how cool Count Noctilus is, Luther is my favourite VC lord.

So few people realise how strong harkon is. His stats when his mind is healed are insane, and Vargheists revenge is still bugged and obscenely powerful. He just dies too quickly on the terrorgheist so thats why i imgine he wasnt on it
Seeing it like this, really weird that Cylostra, a random Bretonnian opera singer, is a way better spellcaster that a very old and powerful vampire. And sure, one can argue Luthor got his connection to the winds blown up, but isnt that what his quest is all about? Restoring it back to what it was?
Not every old and powerful Vampire is also a prolific caster though.
Harkon certainly was though. Not to the extent of someone like Mannfred of course, but still.
And certainly more so than an opera singer.
because harkon is an unga man, and even with his magic restored still enjoys blasting someone with a gun more than killing them with magic.
he's a fully capable, powerful spellcaster, and that's shown by him being able to use all the lore of depths spells without needing to put points into them.

I think, at some point sword of khaine is necessary just to speed up clear speed, because when AI sees one man army, he just throws at you whatever he has.

The consistent 500 kills every cast kinda made me cream a little
In tww2 i tested it with cylostra. She got consistent 800+ kills every battle in 2 overcasts. Its so busted
I wonder... What could you do AI wise againts single lord doomstack?
The AI in WH2 got it right. They would send 2-3 units to attack while the rest would hang back grinding the lord down and making the spells less efficient.
Granted that the rest of the army was running around in search of the rest of your units so it might not have been all just strategic wisdom.
I'm more impressed by the epic heroic victory in auto result at the end of the video.
thats because i had set the battle difficulty to easy after the main fight. gives massive bonuses in AR to the player.

Have they brought back ammo eating or does the AI shoot at the only viable unit on the map? Further testing would cement one or the other.

im playing since warhammer 1 but i dont know what the fire attack do, can someone tell me?
A unit with fire attack deals more damage to enemies with fire weakness and less damage to enemies with fire resistance. Also It reduces incoming healing in Warhammer 3.
wait so if a a unit has magical and flaming attacks, fire resistance can also block the magical part of that attack? I thought flaming and magical attacks had separate damage.
I'm not ingame so I can't check but, I assumed if a unit has two or more types of attacks stacked onto them, the damage is split between the various types, like how armor piercing and anti-infantry traits on attacks have their own extra damage against units with those traits..
EDIT: ok he mentioned Great Unclean Ones might becoming a problem because they've only got magical attacks and no flaming attacks (ontop of being single entities). I guess your magical attacks just get turned into uselessness if you've got flaming ones too and you're facing...Imrik? Is this why people say Tzeentch is horrible against him?

Even archers gets rampage and charge in melee
those are sisters of avelorn, who have the "melee combatant" tag, since they're strong combatants even in melee. probably why they charged in, since they werent able to shoot him.

Hasn't the AI always shot at small single entities if they are the only option on the battlefield? That has come up in earlier videos
No they wouldn't for a while if i remember correctly, in some of the other one man vids. I could be wrong though
if i'm not mistaken, in WH3, they changed the AI to shoot single entities only when the entities were classified as large unit like dragons and stuff. but judging by this video, it seems like they reverted it

@@extratayodancer Yeah, mounted paladins on horses count as large units, so that still makes sense. The "Large" category is a bit weird and open-ended.

The reason they shoot Harkon is because he's the only target they have on the field. If he'd have an army then the ranged units will prioritise those units instead.
Killing Lords on foot is practically impossible. Nearly every hit knocks them over with them taking no dmg and if a foot Lord is broken it is best to just let them go because you just cannot run them down.
They mentioned in the patch notes about how they were changing the 0 dmg knock downs but not seen any evidence of it working yet.
For some reason i always call him lex luthor... which makes me want to ally him with the skaven for warpstone, which will help him kill the superman, aka Karl Franz

? There’s no requirement for it to be on legendary. There never has been.
They gotta fix flaming attacks to add a debuff in order to prevent stacking resistances.
Maybe a DoT, maybe a stat debuff like warpflame. A shame that fire attacks is detrimental in some cases.
DoT is good idea, and fire resistance should make character less affected by it than just reducing all damage
flaming attacks should cause discouraged and DoT to entities struck, even those only knocked away.
Did you see legend that karak eight peaks is now 6 slots for skaven but 10 for dwarves and greenskins

To be fair, why wouldn’t they shoot at him if he’s literally the only unit in the army? Ranged attacks are the best way of dealing damage in this case as well

Your throgg early turn guide probably is outdated already, at least in terms of the cheesing with throgg himself. AI started focus firing taurox in my campaign after the patch.

ive found the ai dodging spells to be even more cheesy now you can just herd them into ranged kill boxes or blob them way more easily

they probably rush into melee because they have the "melee combatant" tag due to having strong melee stats even as archers
