Sounds like you got lucky with just a simple fix. They’re decent trucks if you just take care of them. Going back some 20 years ago, some family friends of ours had the GMC Jimmy SLT version of this truck that was either a 1999 or 2000 model. I remember being driver back and forth to and from Pre-school in my hometown (Monroe-Woodbury, NY) between 2000 and 2001. Other than occasionally issues with these S-10 blazers, they’re pretty cool. I would keep it all original in OEM condition if I had any of these GMC made vehicles, but that’s just me.
Awesome story. I haven't done any modifications yet and just been daily driving it over the past year. No issues so far except an alternator and a water pump. I have too many projects as it is, so it will probably just remain my daily.
Do you know if you can put a 2003 Blazer front end both quarter panels bumper headlights and grill, on a 2004 Blazer front end? Thanx. I had the 99 Blazer 4 wheel drive. Had an issue with the ignition my mechanic couldn’t fix. I miss that one. I currently have a 2003 Blazer with a transmission problem my transmission guy don’t want to touch. There is a 2004 Blazer for sale with the front end damaged for 1200 bux I would like to swap out with my 2003. I have 33x15 tires I want to do a 6 inch lift on soon as I can get that far. I’m hoping you did some mods on your 99 Blazer nice find.
As long as it isn't a Trailblazer you should be good to change the front end parts out. I haven't got to do a whole lot more to the Blazer but have been driving the wheels off of it. Thanks for watching.
I have a 1999 Chevy blazer with 115000 miles and I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with the transmission it shifts but the meter jumps and you have to catch it so it won’t stop the motor is good and I replaced a lot of things just the transmission doing that any idea what that could be?
@@maguiremotorsports1416 it was two things that was the shift solenoids that had to be replaced in the transmission and cleaning out the pan replaced transmission fluids and the spider injectors now she runs great 👍🏻
Sorry about that. The sensor is located on the tailhouse of the transfer case on the back of the transmission. It is on the upper driver's side. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Excellent you dodged a bullet simple fix 👍🏻
Congrats from CommieFornia aka California U.S.A. 🇺🇸

Sorry, just seen this comment. Did you get it fixed yet? Sounds like it may be something similar if the speedometer is jumping.

@@rielmeranda8940 Glad you got it fixed.
you didnt really show where under the truck the speed censor is located? front? rear? where?

Yes he did it''s on video it's not that difficult to figure out, you should thank him for taking the time in producing a video instead of nit picking.
My trailblazer wouldn't shift at all it ended up being the stator inside the transmission pump. Hope this helps anyone
Thanks for the input.
😅I just got the Ole Lady one and it has 97000
Awesome. They are great little trucks. I have been driving mine daily for the last year with no problems. These old 4.3 Vortechs will last forever.
😊
