Thanks for the kind words. I bet your truck will look sharp. I believe the Light Autumnwood Metallic is a rare color. Last show I had my truck at the color got more compliments than anything else.

Man, this video has been a huge help. Really clear to follow and makes me much more confident tackling the job. I have one question though. Have you hooked up the side marker lights yet? That’s the only part I’m not confident on. Never spliced before but I’m assuming they’ll need to tap into the signal lights
I haven't hooked up the side marker lights yet. It really shouldn't be a big deal as it is just a low voltage wire. Anyone should be able to splice right into the existing running lights to make it work. I am glad the video has been a help to you! Thanks for the comment.
Last question i'll ask, i promise! Could you tell me what screws you used to fasten the new grill? and what inserts? I really appreciate all of your help. Great videos. Take Care
It has been a while, but I am thinking I used the factory hardware. I do remember going and picking up some of the plastic push in clips like what a lot license plates use and screws that fit them. I wish I remembered in more detail.
I did the same. I had an old Colorado down in the lower field here but nothing would interchange with the OBS. I ended up going between a couple of parts stores to get what I needed.
The step pads on the back will pop out. Just take a flathead screwdriver and push the tabs up from the bottom. I've repainted mine, and they look great 👍 😊
Good tip! I masked them off and it did not leave a tape line, but removing them would always make for a cleaner job. I would still like to find a factory chrome one on good shape.
18:19 the side marker lights that didn’t have a bulb. Did you have to cut and spice wires to add it? By the way I’ve been looking for a video showing the part number for the headlight pigtails for a while and stumble onto your video. Great video with great supplies information. What to do the same with my 94 OBS
I am pretty sure I just used factory bolts. If I did use a factory bolt, I probably just took one of the factory ones to the hardware store to make sure I got the correct threads.
I have a 92 Silverado extended cab and I'm going to use the back for amps and speakers. I was thinking about taking the 5.7 out and putting a 383 stroker whatever i decide it will be sweet.

That is a good question. I would make sure that they are bolting down flat against the radiator support. Maybe it is not going all the way in. Also make sure that wiring or something is not blocking the light from seating properly. Also, is the light attached correctly in the bracket that bolts it in? I hope you are able to figure it our soon.

Thanks for the comment. I know a lot of people do like the W/T grille and headlight combo, but it just isn't as nice to me. I really prefer the chrome and the composite light setup. I just feel that it is so much cleaner of a look. Since the original W/T grille was worn, and I needed to purchase a new one I decided to take advantage and grab the one I really liked.

I've always gotten the speed nuts and the plastic square inserts from local parts stores. They always have them.
I did the same. I had an old Colorado down in the lower field here but nothing would interchange with the OBS. I ended up going between a couple of parts stores to get what I needed.
Nice just redid my dad's 98 front-end Cheyenne single cab same color ....
Bet it looks great!
so you can just pop off the old one and put it in the new one is there anything you did differently that it required??
Other than the headlight wiring adapters that was it. Just a simple removal and reinstall process.

Ever make a video for the side markers?
