Did you look under the bumper?
so you can just pop off the old one and put it in the new one is there anything you did differently that it required??
Other than the headlight wiring adapters that was it. Just a simple removal and reinstall process.
Did you ever find out the offsets on the rims? If so I’d love to know.
If I am remembering correct it was a 5.5 inch back space on the rears and 4.5 on the fronts. 20x8 front and 20x10 rears. I did finally have to roll the lips of the fenders and bedsides as I began to get a little light rubbing. I think a 6 or 6.5 inch back space in the rear would be optimal.
I have 98 blazer 4×4 LS red color with 264k/klm. My daily drive. Running Great. Owned it for 4 years now. Springleaf shackles are due for change due to rust. Northwestern Ontario. Thanks for the vedio.
Thanks for watching
So when I don’t have the running lights on and I apply the brakes all the lights come one even front turn signals as well as licenses plate light… and then when I turn the running lights on and hit the brakes it’s very dim as if it’s not lighting up but it is it’s just very faint. TIA and you have yourself a beautiful build my guy!!
May be a ground issue
Hey could you please let me know how you got those adapters for the light
I just ordered from eBay. Look through these comments and you should see the link.
have the same problem with my 99 good video
Thanks for the comment
Nice just redid my dad's 98 front-end Cheyenne single cab same color ....
Bet it looks great!
What kind of bolts did you use?
Just hardware store grade 5 bolts.
Great video looks like everyone loves the conversion light plug in. I was going to ask too but I seen the comments
Thanks!
Nicer look 👍 Have similar truck, stepside 4x4, white w/smoked tail light, and white painted grill.
Thanks for the comment! But yours looks awesome.
Last question i'll ask, i promise! Could you tell me what screws you used to fasten the new grill? and what inserts? I really appreciate all of your help. Great videos. Take Care
It has been a while, but I am thinking I used the factory hardware. I do remember going and picking up some of the plastic push in clips like what a lot license plates use and screws that fit them. I wish I remembered in more detail.
dummy you talk too much time to do a little job???
Dude talks way to much no one cares that's watching this just tell me how you fixed it and what tools keep it simple stupid-micheal scott
😊
Cool! Inspired me to get working on my '92 Scottsdale C1500
Glad it has inspired you!
Thank you so much for shwoing this to help othes.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank You! Also really like the mirrors, do you have a brand, or link to those? Thanks Again!
They are factory
What size bolts did u use ? I’m doing something similar
I am pretty sure I just used factory bolts. If I did use a factory bolt, I probably just took one of the factory ones to the hardware store to make sure I got the correct threads.
Where did you get those pig tails ?
eBay. If you scan through these comments you will find links to them. I have posted them on here before.
What is the problem if my Tail lights and Dash lights does not work on my 91 OBS?
I would start checking fuses.
@@maguiremotorsports1416got the same problem, the lights slowly went out one by one and now the only one that works is the reverse light
mine is 34 yrs and the bearing is bad wow thjats along time to wear out \
where do i find the wiring adapter
They are on eBay. If you scan these comments you will see the link to them.
I watched your other vidoes of this truck and its looking nice.... great work.
Thank You
Did you have any problems with the lower control arms rubbing the 15" wheels with this brand drop spindles?
Yes. The factory 15 inch wheels would rub the lower control arms. They claim you can trim the gutter area of on the lower arm, but I just went ahead and upgraded my wheels while I was at it.
@@maguiremotorsports1416 Belltech, and Street Edge drop spindles are the only ones I've found outso far that push out the spindle so it clears.
I love seeing older people like you guys and myself lowering these obs trucks and or any vehicle for that matter. Alot of my friends are like "why tf are you lowering it..... you need to lift it" lmfao
LOL! Right. For the longest time I could never get dad on board with lowered trucks, but I grew up with these things. A lifted truck has it's place, but I think everything looks better lowered.
@@maguiremotorsports1416 You can't sit on the tail gate w' your girl, eat ice cream w' your kids, and or haul stuff with a lifted truck..... well atleast w'out a ladder. Lol
Did you just hammer in the clutch plate or did you use a installer kit?
I tapped it back with a rubber mallet. It was really not stuck on to hard.
Should have covered how you got the clutch pressed back on. Good detail otherwise.
Yeah probably. I just used a rubber mallet and tapped it back. It did not have much resistance as there is a small bolt that actually holds it in place.
What kind of headers are you using? I'm doing sme setup, hve tried 6 sets of headers short, & long nothing fits.
I have since sold the truck. I can't recall the brand, but they were purchased from Summit Racing. They were a cheaper set.
i bought those same brand tail lights on ebay and been having this same issue. hopefully i did the samething you did 😂
update. it was that same pin that i had bent on the circuit board 😎 thanks for the video
@@559caliPoros Great! Glad it was a simple fix for you as well. Those pins are easy to bend.
Still hunting a broken wire in the harness, or bad ground on mine. Great find on yours.
Hope you find it soon. Electrical gremlins are a pain!
Do not follow his instruction the reason he has this edited in such a way so that you don't see everything Is probably because he broke his compressor like I did doing what he did. There is a bolt you must take off before using the puller or else
I did not break the compressor sir. There is obviously a bolt there that anyone can see when you look at it.
Do you have a part number for the bearing?
I don't recall it right off hand. It was an easy find on Rock Auto.
I like the work truck grill, not too crazy about chrome
I like the chrome better, but everyone has their own preference. Either way it needed some work as the old grille was brittle and chalky.
What size are the headlight bolts
I do not remember right off. Seems like an 8mm or a 10mm.
What is the size of the nut on the clutch?
It was either an 8 or 10 mm. I am pretty sure those two sockets could take most of these trucks apart. LOL
My trailblazer wouldn't shift at all it ended up being the stator inside the transmission pump. Hope this helps anyone
Thanks for the input.
Was the headlights a little of so from where cause I’m not sure where to buy those pig tails
If you look through these comments there are links placed throughout. They came from ebay.
Do you know if you can put a 2003 Blazer front end both quarter panels bumper headlights and grill, on a 2004 Blazer front end? Thanx. I had the 99 Blazer 4 wheel drive. Had an issue with the ignition my mechanic couldn’t fix. I miss that one. I currently have a 2003 Blazer with a transmission problem my transmission guy don’t want to touch. There is a 2004 Blazer for sale with the front end damaged for 1200 bux I would like to swap out with my 2003. I have 33x15 tires I want to do a 6 inch lift on soon as I can get that far. I’m hoping you did some mods on your 99 Blazer nice find.
As long as it isn't a Trailblazer you should be good to change the front end parts out. I haven't got to do a whole lot more to the Blazer but have been driving the wheels off of it. Thanks for watching.
Huge improvement, IMO.
Thanks! I think so too!
Had the same problem with my 1990 k1500 it was the circuit board .
Great looking truck
@@Paul-gg3gl Thanks for the kind words. I got lucky really with just a bent pin in the connector.

Great detailed work! PS- back in my day we didn't have fancy rubber gloves, just bare knuckles, i have the scars to prove it. 😂
Thank You! The rubber gloves are pretty mandatory nowadays as my regular job puts me in public quite often and the greasy hands are not much appreciated. LOL
So I’ve got reverse blinkers but no brake lights or emergency, I’ve replaced the brake switch and a new wiring harness what could it be next ?
I would check and possibly replace the circuit board on the back of the taillight housing where it plugs in. They are common to have issues.
Check the relay in the fuse box under the hood. Two of the wires were not making good contact inside the fuse box on my truck. I had to rewire that circuit to an external relay.
HI, GREAT LOOKING GRILL SWAP! AND ALSO, BUMPER PAINT. DO YOU HAVE A LINK, WHERE I CAN BUY THE KIT TO SWAP THE GRILL OUT? THANKS!

@@maguiremotorsports1416 Thank You, So Much! Will I have to change any supports, to do this? My truck is a 95 W/T. Again, TY very much!
@@keithfullbright2919 I did not have to change any of the supports. Was a complete bolt in change. Very simple.
I noticed your brakes make the same as my OBS have you came up with a solution or addressed them? FYI nice truck
I think you are talking about the sound? I have taken the rear brake hubs off and cleaned them but it still squeals some. I think it quieted down a little but the sound is still present.
Nice looking truck, but annoying music and wat too much talking and too little diagnosing or fixing.
Thanks for the comments on the truck. Sorry about the music and talking. I guess there wasn't a lot of diagnosing to be completed as I noticed the bent electrical pin upon inspection. Hope you decide to watch more as we have more videos on tap of the truck and our other projects after a break to work on some non-automotive projects.
18:19 the side marker lights that didn’t have a bulb. Did you have to cut and spice wires to add it? By the way I’ve been looking for a video showing the part number for the headlight pigtails for a while and stumble onto your video. Great video with great supplies information. What to do the same with my 94 OBS
I have actually not spliced the sidemarker light in just yet as we have been busy with non-automotive related projects. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Ever make a video for the side markers?
The mustang in the picture was my car.
Sweet! That was one slick Mustang for sure!
😅I just got the Ole Lady one and it has 97000
Awesome. They are great little trucks. I have been driving mine daily for the last year with no problems. These old 4.3 Vortechs will last forever.
