@numbskullskills it's sorta alive. I'm beginning to think. I might need to put on a new timing chain. 🤔 I hope not. I'm getting to old 😩 running out of time. Can not put new timing belt on my ass. Thanks for watching.
@@pontimaniac2303 oh man, that would sure stink...well you could work on the rest of it an come back to engine. Surprised your not leaking after all them thorns
It sounds great! It seems very suspect that every one of those carbs won't provide enough fuel at idle. Hopefully someone smarter than me will be able to explain where that problem comes from.
@kimfixesthings Kim, ask Buff. I just pulled it off again today. And going to soak it in Berrymans . And try again. I'm still fearful of a vacuum leak. But I have changed the manifold. And gaskets 3 times. Give me your best opinion. And Buff too.
@@pontimaniac2303 If multiple carbs and intakes are failing to improve the problem, then I am going to ask about timing. What is your initial timing? Are you able to verify that the timing mark is giving a true reading of top dead center? Have you tried advancing the timing and then adjusting the carb again? Where did the distributor come from?
It's a pointless electronic ebay distributor. I pulled the carb off this morning. And going to put the better one back on after the Berryman dip. Yes, I was playing with the timing. And turn it either way. Very little difference. as far as any change in the idle. And to far either way it konks out. Had some back fire out the carb to as you saw. I could write you a book about what I have tried. I will let you know how carb change goes. But it's outside. And we got nothing but rain in the forecast. Thanks so much for responding. P.S. I don't know why. But I always laff when I think about that day. Buff was in the Dart. And you were getting him annoyed by saying GIVE IT THE ONION. It will be stuck in my head forever.😂😂😂 🧅sad onions , always make me cry, 🎶 😂😂😂😂😢😢😢😢
@@pontimaniac2303 I will do my best to keep up to date on your progress. I will be very distracted preparing for my event. I highly suggest you put a timing light on the engine and observe the behavior of the advance. Check it with and without the vacuum advance connected. I strongly feel that you will find something, but I don't know what. 4 carbs wouldn't all have the same issue, they might all be bad, but never all the same kind of bad.
@kimfixesthings I was thinking a vacuum leak. Is why I changed over to 4bbl. Your Event ?? No Name Nationals , I need to watch a live . I been out of the loop. I fall asleep early. I don't know how Buff does it. I guess he is just so excited. I got nothing exciting me anymore. 😪😴, you will get great content for sure. I will mess with the timing too.
its alive!!!!!sweet bud
