    Brilliant! Not sure what to say that I adored first! Joel is extremely sweet and considerate helping you with your library, obviously making you happy brings him a lot of joy too.
    So many great things about this, sweet that you have a spot for Jamie and I was chuffed that you had two Aussie novels facing out, from two of our wonderful young authors (they are two of my favourites too- Robbie and Tara). Oh The Pulitzer Shelf is so next level -- love it! Well stocked bookshelves are an art in themselves. Congratulations - there should be an Oscar for well loved and well stocked bookshelves and you'd win it. Happy Reading.

      Joel is the sweetest, it's true! So far Jamie isn't taking the bait and is ignoring the beds, but she'll come around (I hope). I loved The Rain Heron and The Yield! Both are favorites of mine.

    Gosh, I love it!! 💕 You guys did such a good job, and there’s something so cozy about having it nestled at the end of the hall. I’m jealous, because we only have 2 bookcases, and the rest of my books are piled on literally every other surface. Bookshelves are so pricey, and I keep thinking, do I want to spend that money on shelves or actual books? 😄 But someday…Thanks for taking us on the tour, and letting me live vicariously and dream! (Your Pulitzer shelf is so gorgeous it's giving me palpitations!)

    Thank you so much for sharing this! I have to admit I'm incredibly envious on two counts. First off, that you have an actual library! And it looks wonderful! Secondly, that you have such a supportive spouse! My husband is not a reader, so he doesn't understand why I want my own library (or more than one bookshelf, or any books in general). I did want to ask...I love your bookmark art! How did you attack them to the corkboard. From my view, I couldn't seen any tacks and it looks quite professional! I would love to steal this idea from you, so tips are appreciated!

    • @SupposedlyFun
      @SupposedlyFun  Год назад +1

      Joel is the best and I am very lucky. I'm glad you like it! For the corkboard, I used long pins (they look a lot like needles but with a tiny colored bulb at the end instead of the eye for thread). We bought them a few years ago to stick them on a map to mark places we've been, so I don't remember where we got them. I like the way they work here because you can't really see them from far away and they don't leave big holes in the bookmarks either.

    What a nice display of your book collection. I enjoyed the personal touch of some of the items such as the map of independent books stores. I have a dream to visit Hobart Village in the Northern Catskills of New York which I think has 7 independent bookstores currently. Have you been there? Silly question but does Joel have his own library or do you share shelf space? Love the Window Art of Supposedly Fun Library. It is such a special and thoughtful gift from Joel. Plastic book stands. I had a hard time finding ones I liked that were (1) affordable (2) practical, and (3) in a quantity that made sense to purchase. Unfortunately, I just double checked and the merchant I purchased them from has not replaced them right now--so I don't have a place to point you to if you want your own.
