@@irhdaily There is a very good documentary available from History TV18 channel (Similar to Discovery channel) about surgical strikes on youtube. It is more realistic and throw some light on how India conducted operation. Its really good, you will definitely like it.

PS: Surgical Strikes were conducted in 2016. Not the first or the last such operation. Special forces do such thing regularly, its just they don't come into light very often
In the actual surgical strike they had sprayed themselves with leopard urine so that the dogs in the village area don't come near them and alert the terrorists. This tells us how detailed the planning was. Hats off to Indian Army🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🇮🇳

This is one among the only armies in the world who "ensure" civilian safety be it "any" side in a war. Even during every terrorist strike, they even "pardon" and officially give a "second chance" at life to the terrorists ! and help them to develop "love" and "compassion". It's a running program and many such pre-terrorists have been pushed back into humanity. In that case u need to do some research on Operation Whitewash in which Pakistan army personnel were buried in an artificially created avalanche in Siachen on 7th April 2012 and also Operation Ginger in which Pakistan Army personnel were beheaded by Indian Army.

99% of this movie is true including every character and events. I think except the last part where the terrorist try to choke him. Just for a good cinematic experience. Im sure PARA SF had done that job like more quicker.

Even if you die, they’ll not leave you behind they’ll get you out of there. On one of the operations an operator blew his foot off, ankle down everything was gone except a piece of his heel, that man wanted to climb up the mountains to the extraction zone, with his IV bottle in his one hand and his weapon in other. But on request of the team commander, he climbed on one of the operators back, each one of them were carrying 35 kilos of load already , they climbed the mountain for two days straight got him on the chopper and they returned to the fight and finished it off by the 5th day, that’s what these men are made out off. This story is of 9 para SF which is know to be the most elite unit. 9 was also involved in this uri surgical strike.
In every armg there are times when u have no choice when that happens they gotta leave their people behind lets say from 10 people 1 died and they have to take the body but 100 people are firing at them non stop they don't have cover so will they all die there are leave alive... now you will say sacrifice but no not omly they will die trying to take body their body is also left behind now so yeah emotions don't always come in military

It's one of their motto
The reason behind making this movie was actually related to this incident. The director of this movie, Aditya Dhar, was about to make another movie and had decided to cast an actor from Pakistan. But during that process, this URI attack happened and a decision was made to ban Pakistani artists from performing in India. This led to the shutting down of the film the director was planning. Later on, Aditya Dhar became more curious about what exactly has halted his planned movie. So he started researching about this incident and went so deep into it that the reason for his film getting cancelled became a reason to make a film on that very incident.
