Some games are cross buy between pc and quest so that explains why you were able to download. It’s interesting seeing your perspective, going from rift s to quest 3. Can’t wait to get one
Yeah, I was aware of cross-buy going into this, but I wasn't quite sure what all from my original library would carry over. Luckily, after using the link cable, it did let me play any of the games I had previously owned through the Rift S, so that's good!
@@NightTrapOfficial yeah, they’re really good about backwards compatibility so far. The fact that someone buying a quest 3 can play (if it’s available for purchase) all the way from original rift to quest 3 exclusives when that happens is crazy. I remember when I got my quest 2 in 2020, being surprised that I had robo recall in my quest library, it was free with the rift+touch in 2017.
When I heard about mixed reality I was thinking I would never use it, and it was gimmicky. Now I’m mostly playing games that have MR and it feels weird when they don’t. I think part of that is having limited space so I always want to know where I am, specially in games I’m swinging my arms violently. I’ve already punched a wall before
That's fair lol. On my first playthrough of Boneworks, back when I had just gotten the Rift S, I ended up punching my wall hard enough to make myself bleed during the final boss. Luckily, I pay a bit more attention to my surroundings now while playing VR.
Its not there yet. Neither is the resolution. It's cool and all, but its too pixelated to be a decent implementation. Goes to show how complex we humans are as a machine, and we lag so far behind our own complicated design. I would rather wear a bulky helmet that houses a more powerful chip than a mobile cpu.
I believe the poor resolution has to do with the lighting in my room. Other videos I've seen have really good passthrough resolution compared to me, but they're in better lit rooms.
Actually, it's all 3 (AR, MR, and VR) since AR is overlaying digital elements over reality, MR is having digital and physical elements interact (such as my physical hands interacting with the digital menu), and I don't think I have to explain what VR is lol. The Quest 3 is capable of all of them, so you're correct, it is an AR device, but it's also a MR device.

It's to bad the resolution of the mixed reality is like 360p grainy ass flip phone quality .
I believe that's just because the lighting in my room sucks. I've seen others' footage where it looks really clear in comparison to mine.
