I'm surprised at how many people seemed to miss Batman Begins and never give it its credit for being a version of Arkham before Arkham.
True most people don't even seem to know about it.
I am so happy to see someone do a positive review on this game. The cape physics were really ahead of its time for 2005
And that's the only good thing about it?
Completely agree with you on Begins being the best of Nolan's Batman movies! Totally with you that this game must've been a heavy influence on Arkham Asylum as well.
Kinda crazy how this game has so many modes of gameplay like combat, stealth, and the Batmobile whereas the Arkham series didn’t have all of that in the same game until the third entry, 10 years after this game
True. Its surprising in retrospect how varied the game is.
Had no idea this game existed...uncanny how many of the mechanics in this game was used in the Arkham series. Thank you for showcasing this! And I'm old school. I stopped playing games for a few years.
Arkham asylum was originally a sequel to this....dark knight game
@@robogreek3157Wow, never heard that!
Batman fights better in this game than the movie.
Yeah in the movie you don't see much of it due to the quick cuts.
@@nordicwarriorgaming4953 that and the fighting style they gave him, KFM. Batman throws no kicks throughout the trilogy for an expert martial artist.
What you talking about. Thugs in the Dark Knight Rises would just fall down without Batman even touching them. Bat God lol
@@inshal6420 as in does Bruce even throw a kick throughout the trilogy?
@@yardknight4953you do realize there's more than one form of martial arts, right? Which Batman did in the dark knight trilogy. Martial arts isn't always about flashy Kung Fu you see in movies. For a character that's described to know so many forms of martial arts, TDK trilogy is the only live action version that actually has him use forms the other interpretations haven't recycled already. The problem with TDK trilogy was how the fight scenes were shot. Not how Batman was fighting.
Fun Fact. This game used a lot of cut content from the movie, Also Bale voice wasn't bad as in dark knight and rises 😂
Yeah I never understood why he went on to do the cookie monster voice in the sequels lol.
This was my first Batman game, I remember first playing this back in 2006, it was ahead of it's time, I like that you can scare the thugs, making them drop their guns, This game definitely inpired the Arkham games.
You're on a roll lately covering some of the best licensed games from the sixth generation of consoles! I love Batman Begins and I agree that Arkham Asylum borrowed visual and gameplay elements from this game. Another great game that came out during this era was The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
Fun Fact: The Batman Begins video game came out prior to the movie release so it contained spoilers during cut scenes. I watched them in the game before the theatrical release.
I agree Hulk Ultimate Destruction is awesome too. I will review it one day.
bat mobile sequences were the best part
based on the footage in this vid the game looks really good. the graphics feels like they used the same engine as splinter cell chaos theory. good lookin game
Great review love the content on this channel, your X-Men reviews especially
Thanks.
underrated video. very well done
Thanks.
I'm glad you review this, hard to find review and I'm glad you still uploading video many old channel that i watch when kid gone, now i revisit and sub again on the channel that I can find. Stay healthy and stay safe
Thanks.
I never knew this game even existed... 😮
Yeah not many people talk about it now a days. Its a great game in my opinion.
You must be young.
happy to see some rep for this game
Yeah I remember beating this game and unlocking all the unlockables i really had a blast with the batmobile missions the fighting combat missions could have been better had you would have been able to get to upgrade batmans versatile movesets gadgets and even getting bringing set gadgets with you how instead you are only limited to a number of the gadgets and you only get a set few quantities of the gadgets batarangs etc...
Good review
Thanks.
I love the Batman begins film, still got it on DVD, think it's my favourite one of the trilogy, the others were still great but overcomplicated I thought.
This game looks cool mate, I also love the Arkham games too, and see where Rocksteady got their inspiration from.
I'll definitely be checking this game out too, like and subbed you as well dude 👌 😊
Thanks bro. Yeah I always preferred Batman Begins to the sequels for some reason.
@@nordicwarriorgaming4953How old were you when it came out?
@@isaiahyinko7182 11.
@@nordicwarriorgaming4953 Nice. I was 6.
@@nordicwarriorgaming4953 I love the entire trilogy for me personally.
I can't forget this one. Played it on both Xbox and GBA. Loved the soundtracks for both. I wish the movie did some of the this game did. I though Batman Begins was the best out of the trilogy.
I'm still sticking to the Arkham series.
Nice video how did you record this?
Thanks. Elgato HD Capture Card.
Officer balls
I remember stealing this game from my cousins to play it 😂
LOL the controls for this game were trash, I don't know about the story though.
I wouldn't go that far, mate. It's a decent game, but not awesome. It lacks a level select mode which really kills its replay value. Why should I have to go through the whole game just to get to a level i want?
Yeah I forgot to mention it didn't have a level select. Fair point.
Dark Knight was overrated.
