I feel like both the movie and game got better with time. I recently rewatched and played the game and was blown away by how good they both are. I don’t think my kid brain understood the greatness of the movie and game at the time.
I remember playing this one, and when arkham asylum was about to come out I remember thinking it would be bad and they just should have made a movie tie in game for dark knight..... I have never been so wrong! XD I had some STRONG rose colored glasses for this game.
Man I loved this game as a kid, it was one of my favorites on the ps2. It's kinda funny cuz it was one of those games that was hard as hell but I kept playing. Even though I had beaten the game more than I can count it was still a pain in the ass. I also remember just walking around the little prison area where you can look at the villians, it was weirdly calming despite being a literal prison with insane people screaming all the time.
if you didn't know arkham asylum game was inspired by this game in some ways. the mechanics just got better in the arkham games and due to the ps2 limitations batman had to climb latters, fences, etc... tho i enjoy your review and agree with u on some things.
I liked this game more than the Arkham games because of it's combat system and the linear level designs. I was actually surprised to see people hating the combat system of this game.
It helps to have simple interests. I didn't overlook this game and played it for hours on end on the Game Cube. It's nice to see people give this game a chance now.
Fun video. I never played this growing up but since I've been pumping up my ps2 library while in quarantine, I might give it a try. License games like this aren't made anymore, for good and bad. I love your idea on how to improve the fear system but sadly I don't think the ps2 was capable of it. Geist on the GC arguably did it better and basically that was just a puzzle system. I don't think modern games have tried it again which is sad because now developers could make it work. I'd love to see a video on the Arkham VR game. It's the only game in the series I really don't know anything about but I love the crime scene investigation missions in Arkham Origins so it might be good.
Idk how over looked is when in the last 3 months alone I’ve seen 5 or so diff RUclipsrs make a video mentioning it as a precursor to what became the Arkham Games. Or how driving the bat mobile was actually decent
I hope the people that make the Batman begins game makes a "the Batman" game to modernize the style for their game Arkham Knight it would be like story based
Bought this game from a used game store when I was 12, enjoyed the first half but I remember quickly getting bored with it and returning it. Maybe I should’ve finished it.
this was MY GAME before i could afford a ps3. i played THEE HELL outta this game JUST BECAUSE i couldn't get the Arkham games and i LOVED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF IT (Except those damn Batmobile missions 😑🤬🤬) SO MUCH SO that i have it on my PCSX2 emulator on my phone rn and it plays FLAWLESSLY 😂
Lol you expect a Batman game that focused more on stealth than combat? A game from a character that is supposed to know a sh*t load of martial arts? Sure, that sounds reasonable...

I love how Batman walks like
Mr.SneakMan
and a creep
ready to give away a
McWhopper
like the royal highness
of the King of Burgers
This is my favourite thing about the Nolan Batman trilogy, and Begins is the only one I like of the films

I always wondered how the planned Dark Knight game would’ve turned out.
It's a very easy and linear game, but it has plenty of style. You can really tell the devs had been playing Splinter Cell lol.
Totally! This games presentation is so good.
@@DiegoReviews You should give it another retrospect cause it better than you say!!!
Excellent video as always! Expert use of American Psycho, as well.
And I’m right there with you. I want mediocre tie-in games back bad.
Thanks, Zack! That’s my favorite part of the video lol
Great video. I played this on the old Xbox and thought it was pretty rad. I'm glad to see it still holds up. And that edit at 10:44 had me howling!
7:02 Fun fact: Emma Thomas is Christopher Nolan's wife and film producer. Also making an appearance for the game.
even Funn'er fact: 😐....."We don't know WHO TF THAT IS"

Sewers aside, your idea for Croc is exactly how Reptile was done in that awful realistic Mortal Kombat movie pitch.
I unironically loved that pitch lmao

god the way he fucking climbs has haunted my memory since i got this for gamecube as a kid
Nice. How old were you when you got the GameCube back in 2005.

I remember playing this game constantly as a kid, just found your channel!
This my all time favourite game. It's remake should be made.
Glad to see you fixed the thumbnail typo.
Good looking out!

Thanks, Cain! Binging licensed games wouldn’t be a bad way to spend quarantine.
This channel is so slept on dude, quality content man you deserve so many more subs
While I'm not a fan of the Nolan trilogy, that game was such a surprising little gem.
Why does Batman climb ladders like that? We know he's got issues but thats just goofy. 😂
growing up playing this got it when the second movie came out
FAVORITE BATMAN GAME! TIED WITH FOREVER AND BATMAN AND ROBIN AND ARKHAM CITY AND KNIGHT AND BATMAN NIGHT OF TSIN JIU!
Not even gonna lie I enjoyed the hell out of this game back in the day and enjoyed it again when I broke out my PS2 copy.

I wish this game was playable on the Xbox One
The game is for sure my childhood.

Definitely somewhat a predecessor to Arkahm Asylum. It was a funntime and kinda difficult when I was a kid bit still fun. Nice review man.
Thank you!
Great vid mate
Thank you!
When people say Arkham Asylum was the first good Batman game, I always send them to this. Never had a bad response from any of them 😂
Bought this game from a used game store when I was 12, enjoyed the first half but I remember quickly getting bored with it and returning it. Maybe I should’ve finished it.
I think it’s worthy of a full playthrough. Some levels feel like they drag out more than they should. But I dig the mansion level.
@@DiegoReviewsDark Knight has a game! It's online but it ALMOST had a console game! And Dark Knight Rises HAS A game playable on console!
it was like a longer begins movie... i love it

bro, that intro looks like he got lynched 😂
That graphical glitch 💀💀💀
Bruh wtf is that climbing animation lmao
That climbing animation is greatness overload. Your brain can't handle how great it is.

This game has native widescreen support, but you still playing this at 4:3 mode stretched to 16:9? 💀
Yeah I completely screwed that up 💀
