Welcome to our channel, lovely to meet you 🤗 so happy to hear that you are enjoying our videos 😘❤️
Great to see this life so different from what I have.
And good pigeon sound!
really glad you enjoyed it :)
hahaha, I will continue to expand my repertoire of expressions!
Seems very healthy and delicious 🤤
Granted its very fatty food but that is good in cold climates.
That last place looked amazing and the size of those things were a big bang for ya buck it looks like anyway. I Just stumbled upon yalls channel and its pretty cool content! Subscribed just from this video alone. Good stuff guys.
Thank you mate! Welcome to the channel! Lots of love ❤️
Awesome weather ..snowboarding 😎..and wow all that looks so delicious thank you from the US...stay safe have a wonderful day 😊
thank you so much, really glad you enjoyed it :)
I like the pancake + concept!
It amazes me that there is an actual society there that functions in that intense cold weather to begin with! That there is an employment / business structure that is established in an area such as that is blows my mind! Personally I could never live in that environment because I detest the cold ..what a great video! Props to all the great people who are tough enough to brave that area,!
Canadian checking in, I once asked the front desk lady at the hotel in Florida how the water was for the outside pool, in January! She looked at me and said, where you from? Canada! Oh, it's fine she said! Haha, you warm climate people close your pools when it's 20C outside, insanity!
Have you never heard of Canada? We have a modern, affluent Western democracy in a climate somewhere between what it's like in the upper US midwest and Russia.
@@ericastier1646 We do. That's the thing with Canada. As cold as the winters can be, the summers also get very hot. We're not a giant freezer the whole year around, lol.
@@ericastier1646 when it's 32 C during the day and humid, it may drop to the low 20's at night, but it's still humid, so uncomfortable. Of course there's sometimes winds and thunderstorms, even occasionally tornadoes where I live in Southern Ontario.
Hi Matt & Julia , I loved your vlog, Nice cuisine over their..... Enjoy.....😋😋😋
Very interesting, love seeing what other countries have for "fast food"
Thank you guys for showing their foods they eat...very interesting to watch....
Glad you enjoyed it Kwazimo! 😊
@@MattandJulia yes thanks, watching from New Zealand 😁
So interesting ! Loved it actually made me hungry 😊
Haha, sorry about that 🥰
The best pidgeon imitation I've ever heard :D
It's a real pleasure to watch you both. Your videos are very much appreciated. Thank you!!!
I started watching this and thought I recognized her from British Bake Off. As soon as she said she was moving to the UK, I was like yep, how cool lol. I love watching about Russia and learning how they live and eat. Russia looks like a very beautiful country in a lot of what I've seen. You did great BTW.
I feel food can bring the world together. Ive got to look more into what yall are eating. Looks yummy
Lol. Your outtake bits at the end make me laugh.
The fishy cheesy tart looked yum!
Haha, glad you love them, they are our favourite parts too 😁
It was incredible 👌😊 x
Whenever i see one of your vlogs with food in it i always immediately become hungry...loved seeing the lady make your pancakes and the fillings so interesting...hearty on the go food that fills you and warms you up...needed in those Siberian temps x
Admittedly, and my parents would disagree, winter isn't as harsh here in Quebec, Canada, but I'd bet I can guess the temperature just by the sound of your steps.🤣
That cold dry crunch I'm from Fairbanks AK I know that sound well
Living in Maine, I agree.
That was my first thought too!
When I go hunting up in northern Montana by the Canadian border in November(didn't have the money this year though), the temperatures have gotten as low as -41°F, crunchy snow/ice sounds just like it. Being born and raised in the Pacific Northwest(Oregon and Washington), after a week or two I'm ready to come home to a more temperate climate lol.
The way he folded that pancake was very satisfying
Your sister should appear more often! I saw her in previous videos and I will say that she (also) has a very bright and fun personality.
Thank you so much, I passed your words on to her and she says 'thank you 😊🤗'
You made me tear up a little haha, I wish my brother and sister were coming with us everywhere, miss them terribly ❤️
My russian grandma made us she called blinar, thin pancake made with beer, we would roll them up in butter then honey or jams
So good.
I am sooo glad I watched this while I was eating! Yum!!
Haha, really glad you enjoyed it 🤗♥️
New Canadian 🇨🇦❤ dub here! Love the content. Although I can't eat a whole lot, I still love watching and trying new food items. BTW you 2 are so cute together. Much love and success to you both. I'll keep my eye out for future videos. 💖
Thank you so much! Love to Canada 🇨🇦❤️ And welcome to the channel 🥰
Very interesting.🙂 I'm from the west coast of Canada🙃 Thanks for posting 😊
You are welcome ♥️
Amazing unique place with extreme harsh weather.
I enjoyed these when I visited St. Petersburg for 3 days. I had one with a savory filling (main course) and a sweet one (desert). Loved St. Petersburg.
Just watching this now, 3 years later & there’s a shot of your grandmother 😢❤😢
All the food looks so delicious! 🇺🇸
❤️❤️❤️
Your grandma seems so sweet ❤
Thank you so much ❤️ she is my everything
Love & Respect from N. Carolina!
Love to you! ❤️
Love you guys! you are such a great couple! Hello from Toronto!
Thank you so much Troy! Love to Toronto! ❤️
The food looks great! Have you ever thought of opening up a Russian restaurant in England?
Thank you Linda! At one point yes, but not sure I could deal with all of the stress of running a restaurant 😊
Looks good 👍 I’m amazed of the way you are used to the cold
Very different from what we have in the US. But very interesting. My favorite subject is food.
I can't wait to visit and see what it's like in the US.
Matt has been to the US with his family 10 years ago and I've never been, but very curious!
We love trying different foods and it is our favourite subject too 😊
Ellie Holmes, yeah food. A very popular subject with most ppl. 😊
Great video! I'm always fascinated how people in other countries live. Side note: The crunchy snow sounds like my knees all day 😂
So glad you enjoyed it Rebecca 🥰❤️
Now that I am bedridden I miss the crunch of snow..I never thought I would say that!.
really sorry to hear that Marjorie, sending lots of love to you ❤
@@MattandJulia thank you. Will keep an eye out for your posts..especially ones with recipies..wish I could get my daughter who cooks for her own pub to make bread too but there is no time with having a second part time job that she picked up till this. Covid crap is over...
Thank you I did enjoy this video...warm wishes from England
Just subscribed! Neat video, interesting meals! Where's Siberia? Is it always freezing there?!
Thanks for a great video ☺️
Thank you Jill, glad you enjoyed it 😊 Siberia is basically the entirety of Asian Russia 😊 and no only wintertime, the summer gets very hot here 😊
I like your videos. To me is a learning experience! You make it fun and I like how you explain it all thank you.
Just came across your channel recently and I gotta say, it’s pretty fascinating content! Much more authentic and real than the stuff pushed by the D’Amelio’s and the Paul’s of the world. Hope you gain more traction and recognition!
Thank you so much Raphael! Really appreciate it!! 🤗X
They eat alot of carbohydrates. Are they not afraid of being diabetic??
I'd love it in Siberia! Fun video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it Rusty! ☺️
Very interesting fast food joint. One thing however, I'm fairly sure those are meant to be enjoyed hot, fresh from the griddle. It's amazing they still tasted ok after being subjected outside to -40C!
@WMB That might make it soggy.
в обернутом виде до пяти минут горячее , тем более блины сперва очень горячии , можно обжечься )
Cool it looks like a pancake burrito! Looks good!.Especially on a cold morning!
Oh yeah, nothing like a warm stuffed pancake on a cold morning 😊❤️
BEAUTIFUL! Americans and Russians have to be friends. We are scaring each other too much. Think what could be accomplished in a team.
Respectfully,
NHG
PS Say hello to your Gran, she is adorable. Sadly my grandparents are all gone now, and so are my parents. I really miss my family. Cherish them while you can.
That we do. Russians are just awesome! As for that particular dish.... I've been hungry enough to eat pretty much anything and be grateful. So... I'll take one. :-) Greetings from Arizona.
That was great!! Thanks for sharing!!
❤️❤️❤️
Quite surprised whats popular! :o
Your boyf is getting the hang of talking to cam now :)
Thanks very much! Matt :)
Shoarma or Kebab is (obviously) very popular here in Europe. But it looks different here in the Netherlands. Usually a lot smaller piece of bread with mostly meat of lam, turkey meat or also chicken. If we make it at home we often use Shoarma made from pig meat.
What you show is rather large and looks more like what we call here 'turkse pizza' in dutch, or Turkish Pizza. That is pancake with vegetables, spicy saus most times meat rolled into a similar package.
Incredible how such a dish became so popular almost everywhere!
Hello Matt and Julia... I luv to see your videos of what daily Life is like in Russia, like in grocery stores and restaurants. Can you do some cooking videos of traditional Russian food or meals?? Thank You...
Thank you very much, really happy you are enjoying our videos 😊
We will definitely make a video like at some point ☺️
@@MattandJulia Thank You so much!! 😊
Eye openings, interesting information. Thank you.
Never seen pancakes with a meat, but I love it, want to try it soon, love here from Philippines, love your video❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️
Well...everything from the bakery looked fabulous!! I really thought it was amazing how the lady made those pancakes!! That is skill! Must be very cold there!! Enjoying your videos, this one just popped up so...thought I would comment. A new subscriber. Stay safe in your fantastic travel journeys. Enjoy it while your young and able to do so. I loved watching the lady making pancakes too 😊
Sending lots of love to you Sandy 😘❤️
I personally would love to try that bakery looked really good
We will do more videos about food in Russia (especially bakes) when we are back 😊
Love your videos - always interested to see what people in other countries are eating - would love to know how much these foods cost, so I can compare it to the prices we pay - Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Maybe describe the taste more of siberian foods. Mostly you say what it is and that it’s good. :) but more taste description would be awesome
Oh yeah 100%, that was our first food video ever and we were a bit stiff haha 😂 we are trying to explain how things taste ☺️
Awesome something different look forward to you guys next show
Thanks Cindy!
