I do like the new table but I would have been on team Kelsey, reserved about shrinking the size of the table especially when you want to add more seating. If the big table was gonna get the chop, I might have wanted to try rounding the edges of the big table to mimic the shape of the new table but with more space. Still a great end result, and I love the final touch of adding hardware to your faux door spot fillers. 👏
I love the vibe of the office space and the locker wall looks incredible and functional. I don't like the color of the curtains I don't think it ties into the rest of the colors in the room.. I like the smaller table, it's beautiful... However, I loved the larger table and I think it would have been more functional for your staff.. You went from a larger , beautiful table took out the locker storage in-between each worker and that should be sufficient room for them to have their own space. I just don't understand why you would swap efficiently for a nice looking piece of furniture. Co workers deserve to be comfortable and have space to themselves and I just don't see this happening with the smaller table...And cutting that gorgeous, big table in half kind of broke my heart... I know you ladies will repurpose it and it will look Amazing... Can't wait to see it. Well Done to the team and I hope your Co workers are happy in their new space ✌🏼
I usually love your makeovers but this one missed the mark for me. The cool locker wall should have been the inspiration for the whole space, but because each area has its own vibe (locker wall vs curtains vs table) and none of it ties together, it just feels odd. The previous table was really practical, this is a dining table! I would have liked to have seen the wallpaper wall updated and the locker colours brought into the rest of the space via styling and DIY art-inspired curtains. The neutrals just don’t work.
yes yes and yes. The Ideas are there but they just do not go together. I feel Like there to many cooks (Chefs? How is the saying) in the kitchen. Asking their staff is nice but also... maybe only the practical things and not so much for the Design choices
I completely agree. The locker wall was such a cool idea but the colors should have stayed on the muted side so it would have at least added a cohesiveness to the overall space that was definitely leaning that way. I would have painted at least one of the black file cabinets a different color as well. Loved the new table but you would lose valuable workspace! Sounds like a great project for the master wood artist Rochelle!❤❤
I totally agree with you! I was afraid to leave my comment on the video since I saw a lot of likes.. It was a lack luster attempt compared to past makeover episodes. It felt like they made the same room just different not better or worse... or maybe worse. It looks like a mashup of different aesthetics that don't harmonious work together.
I feel like they were not invested in this make over.. it felt like they were just trying to get over with it as soon as possible. They didn't take the time to change the wallpaper off, the team asked for more space, now they have less.. and the storage at the entrance is super cool, but if it is not being used it is just bad design, and they should add a place for backpacks closer to were people is actually working. None of it actually came together for me, I don't know. It didn't make sense really.
I was yelling at the screen for you to just give the big table top some rounded edges 🤪 and then maybe have painted it or the pedestals.. I feel like more space is always better... But the general vibe is great and the cabinet wall looks amazing!!
Yes! I think rounding the original mega desk and using the pedestals would have been such a great compromise and would probably make enough space for more people to work while also spreading out a bit. Great space at the end 😊
I’m only saying this because you asked for our thoughts-- love all of your design team’s aesthetics work together, I love how you try new and different things, and your spaces always have a cool quirkiness. Unfortunately, watching this video it seemed almost like you were convincing yourselves you liked it. I also agree with everyone that the new table doesn’t work. IMO The tone of the original table worked better as a compliment to all the colour you added to the room, and the new table does not offer extra space for your team.
PLEAAAASE paint the back wall behind the cabinets and tv, maybe a deep burnt orange or a dark red wine shade? It would tie the table and cabinets together and make the space flow more. I love it all though!!!
I worked in a startup once. When the funds got low, CEO replaced, the new one cramped us together like that combining 2 offices. I spoke up, was fired for lacking the spirit and got a much better job. But my guess is, that this is like a conference room situation, which would be totally fine in my book?
For the work table: if I was a an employee I'd prefer the bigger table so it feels more like you have you own little space instead of one big table where it feels more like you're at school doing a project
I agree, keep big table, you're lacking in space! Change the frame under big table and round off corners and it will still be the big table but with a update!
I love the style of the new table but I am curious to know what the employees think of it in comparison to the old one? Although if some people work from home part of the time, maybe they just don’t need as big a table.
Cut the round table down the middle, and add a another piece to inclreade the length - think funky stone, colorful stained ambrosia wood, tile, glass, anything!

I mean… this might be the first time I don’t like a makeover that you do 😬😬 I can not believe you shopped up that beautiful table I love you guys, I’ll keep watching!
who else thought the cabinets were the locker spaces for bags and was very confused when they suddenly pivoted to dumping the bags on the beautiful ottoman?
I feel like there's a perfect opportunity to add a smol, mini office behind the blue, fake panel. The overall vibes are amazing! Impressed at how cozy it still feels with all the office stuff and metal cabinets.
I was hoping you will remove the wallpaper experiment behind the TV. The locker wall is great though. I think you should switch the ceiling lamp with a more colorful one to bring the whole room together.
The old table looks taller than the new one, I noticed the chair arms hit the edge of the new table and can’t be tucked in with the arms down which would drive me insane, both when in use and when not in use. I would’ve without a doubt kept the old table. More space, more practical
Personally, the color story is seeming a bit too random with the new beige paint & cool grey wallpaper/stucco! One really intentional way to go bold/eclectic is by matching the undertones of all of your colors. It will feel much more cohesive if you can decide on a color palette undertone, then add in pops that compliment or contrast from there.
I'm watching this thinking about how I get super distracted by others around me from a semi-private cubicle. If I were the staff, I would not only want more space but an option for more separation. Collaborative spaces are great, and maybe they are used often, but for independent work, I can't imagine spending all day sitting round-table.
I see where this was going but painting the two odd cabinets (or even just the purple one) an earthy/jewel tone would’ve made it more cohesive. This is giving college apartment where everyone brought the furniture they had and it doesn’t really work but you live with it. 😂
(Designer opinion) Cabinet wall is a great idea but think it needs a color palette rethink. Since there is already so much variance happening with the heights ands, handles, and depths, the different colors push it too far and it becomes too much of a focal point - especially the bright red. I would definitely make the color palette more intentional (analogous or tones of monochrome, or paint it all one color). I also think the torn wallpaper wall behind it doesn’t work anymore with this look. I would paint more walls the same color as the window wall for more cohesion. And you’re right about the white office chairs - although super functional and comfortable - they aren’t fitting in either. Perhaps you could add a rug or focus on ambient lighting to make the space feel lived in and add pops of color there, too. Overall the cabinet wall of crazy colors and the tones of the new table and curtain wall feel totally opposite, and I would maybe err on the side of the curtain wall with more professional/elegant but vintage color palette and textures with the changes I mentioned above.
Yes a rug could tie it all together! I think this is a huge space and needs either a light or a rug to connect all the pieces together.. right now it's feeling very separate spaces.
I agree on the wallpaper specially, but also there's a huge high in the windows, the cabinets are already low and the table clashes kinda in the middle of them leaving a big gap in the middle zone for the eye to wonder around looking for cohesion and just ends anywhere, there's no real focus point. The one thing that's pushing it is the red cabinet and doesn't feels right
They had issue with the purple locker, but the red one killed me. I could not stop raising my hand to cover it and see if the remaining lockers looked more cohesive. Throwing a red sweater on one of the chairs also seemed like a styling attempt to balance what clearly was an outlier. I love the idea, tho, and it's totally tweakable to be more delightful instead of distracting.
The filing cabinet wall is SO cool; creative and functional perfection. Your team's commitment to second-hand is everything, thank you for making it so real and approachable !!
I would personally hang a couple of different knobs under the writing board for the bags, useful cable, snacks and so on. The space under the writing board is a bit challenging and unused.
Now, to me, the chopped-up table could be a perfect addition there on that wall>>> Why not measure it out to see if it could work out because their is never enough table space in anyone's office Also, I'd bring above the file cabinets some more colorful shelving for books, plants, etc. As it would help to unify that whole wall of colorful cabinetry even more...as would that sawed in-half table beneath your chalkboard, for even more space as it will be needed in the future...Also you could possibly put the other part of the chopped table into the kitchen area for usage during eating or partying events...what does everyone else, think about that because if color and storage is the Sorry Girls motto>> please, then, give it more color so it doesn't look chopped-up in that space as the office will always evolve like any lived in space does...But it's diffinately worth watching as it's upgraded...❤❤ Rochelle is a fabulous addition to this team & like Becky such a lovable soul...Diffinately a great team of lovable folks for us to enjoy content with....What's next guys because more color in the office is needed ❤️ 😮 What does everyone else think 🤔????
That's exactly what I was thinking. Utilizing wall space for hanging of stuff like bags and coats in there would be good or even have an assigned locker for each person. The lockers are there for the vibes why not use them?
@@cloflomonsteror even by the curtain. Use that new leather bench for sitting and the sliced table. Could clip the table alot to make a vintage industrial vibe
OMG typical management move. Ask for better space they will give you a smaller table uncomfortable chairs and unorganized storage system, and don’t forget about the ottoman, not a hangers no an ottoman to throw your bags on it. Not your finest makeover.
Not my fav look you’ve done. Looks like 2 styles. The curtains, rounded table and leather seating are so different from the metal boxes, chairs and writing board.
Love the cabinet wall but kind of wish you wished you kept the old table and used the waterfall sections as rounded leafs at the end to get the same oval vibe but more seating
The only thing that matters is your employees are happy with it. I think one of the halves of the old table would be perfect up against a wall for more desk-space!! There's enough room there to nudge the new round table over a bit and allow those employees who prefer more room to spread over to a different desk.
I don’t normally comment on anything. But man. Idk….. I’m not sure I like a single thing that changed. 😬. Maybe this makeover deserves a second chance revamp!
8:28 Rochelle is so funny! I love that she’s confident enough to say she doesn’t like something but she always tries to deliver that news delicately. I always feel too bad to say I don’t like someone’s suggestion so I admire that she is able to give good constructive criticism. Sometimes it is really funny though bc you can see the wheels turning in her head being like “how do I say eww absolutely not, but in a really nice way”. Love her
Haaa! Would've loved to hear all the 'feedback'......glad to see you're considering the practical along with the pretty- but your team has grown since you moved so I'm not convinced a smaller desk is going to be helpful. Could the oval table be extended with a piece (and slimmer leg support) in the middle? A lot of work but you're there for the long-term and cramped workspace is a pain and not conjusive to productivity. Can't believe it's been 4 years already!
This was underwhelming. 1. A smaller table was literally the opposite of what the team asked for. 2. Where are they hanging bags and such? Your entryway clearly isn't working. Take feedback and adapt! 3. It's funny how sustainability is preached but AI is pushed via your sponsorship and you literally didn't try to reuse the tabletop in the space. 4. The fastest way to look like you aren't in anyway invovled in your business is to make a mess, struggle to spray paint, and not understand why a bigger table works when folks asked for a bigger table, and getting impractical chairs for people who do not regularly work there...Becky.
This felt like a very forced makeover. They didn't even seem remotely excited about it. Usually they draw me in with their repurposing and excitement and this one felt very, forced or something. And it really irked me when Kelsey said the part about the front. I get having an entry way but it's more convenient and makes more sense for them to she their personal belongings back near them.
@@denidoo82 I fully agree. I feel like their views are going down and they're only getting views on makeover videos so now they're creating unnecessary makeovers. If they wanted to make this one work, they wouldn't only have asked for the feedback but actually implemented it. I would hate to work within an arms reach distance from my coworkers.
I LOVE that filing cabinet wall. As a purple lover I'm astounded by how you matched that neon purple to the rest of the cabinets with the neon panels. I adore how this touches a little on maximalism without going too ham, definitely a favorite style from you guys now!!
This is where my limited sense of style and adventure comes into play. I love the structure of the locker wall, but I wish that the lockers were all either the same color or the same color family. I would love to see those lockers in soft whites, pinks and grays. I don't know how much work it would've been to repaint them though, but a softer palette would have worked better with the white chairs and the faded damask wallpaper, just to my eyes. I love the table and the leather bench. Even though it's not entirely my esthetic, it came together beautifully and I see the vision. I always love these makeovers ladies ❤!
Or i just would've removed the drawers underneath and instantly more room, they could've added the drawers elsewhere for storage/personal use. And even added extensions to the table.
I like the shape of the new table but think it can get cramped really quickly due to the downsizing especially with many arms, doesn't seem like there will be much personal space. And if you want to add more people, it could get realll tight fast. Feels like people will be wondering off to little corners of the office to get work done if they want just a bit more room. It already looks a little tight with 4 pax towards the end, imagine if everyone got their laptop out, a few water bottle or glass of water and a mouse or two, that's arm to arm. Unless the norm is not a full house in the office, this doesn't seem very functional. Aesthetic sure, but not very functional.
Why did you not put cubbies under the window to hold the backpacks, the bench with backpacks are going to look cluttered and people will need to move other people's things to get their things. People want their personal items with them, even in high school and college people keep their belongings within arms reach. You should have kept the drawers under the table and since you already cut the table in half mount it to the wall at bar height and you will have additional seating.
I think the larger table would be better. I feel a revision will be in the future. I actually think a grouping of tables would give y’all more space to work. However, if it works for the team then it’s all good.
"remember your old office and how many problems you had with it? Great! we created more!" this is such a miss with the table space. It feels very put-together-make-do
Man, I don’t comment anything negative on the channel EVER!! Respectfully though this make over was a miss… I see the vision and the filing cabinet wall is dope! But the little green board she should have been the same blue color as the other one 😂
I’d love to see you guys talk about functional design. There’s a lot of legal specs that need to be met with things such as office design, how much room an individual needs at a desk, turning circles etc. It’s also super important to have the right table height for posture. I know this is more of a casual office vibe, but even so if you’re promoting interior design it’s an important element. Form should follow function after all 🙂
I’m going to say this in the nicest way possible 😅 the wallpaper behind the cabinets needs to go! It doesn’t go at all with the space and looks dirty- a paint job would go a long way. Was not a fan of the unpainted cabinets especially the neon colors. I think it would fit better if it was a cohesive color scheme.
Love the filling cabinet wall, and the extra doors make it that much more cohesive and meant to be! I'm not entirely convinced by the table, really depends on how many people use it at once and how much stuff ends up around them. Maybe you could do personalised shallow drawers that could be put in hidden drawer slots under the table so people could have a place to put away their stuff and clear the work surface while keeping items accessible, and they can be switched around or stored in the filling cabinets depending on who's in the office and who's working from home each day
Just a personal opinion: I feel like the style of the curtains and the rest of the room don’t go together; the wallpaper behind the cabinets is too much and somehow the room seems unfinished …
I think that the wall behind the file cabinet wall needs to be painted, it looks too cold next to the new warm curtain wall. But I absolutely love the filing cabinets sooooo much they are awesome ❤
Seems weird to go with the smaller table when the people who work in the space were saying the filing cabinets weren’t allowing them to pull up more chairs, which they needed. Smaller table doesn’t really allow for more chairs. Seems like you could have just given the bigger table new legs and solved that problem.
I absolutely love the way Rochelle always so kindly explains to someone else why that idea is not in fact a good idea 🤣🤣 I can always see it before it happens and I start laughing immediately.
I prefer the old table.. completely agree with Kelsey on every issue with the new one. Too bad you literally cut the old in length way's in HALF. I thought youd chop it the other way.. that hurt to watch😭
I won’t say anything about the cabinets bc taste is subjective but y’all need to give real desks to tour employees like that table is a meeting room table at best, not a work table esp for editors if they have a second monitors. Also AI… like. The curtains were the best, I thought the ripped wallpaper was gonna go but oh well
I feel like the metal cabinets could be storage for everyone's backpacks. That way they are closer than being in the front entrance area making those cabinets more functional as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
Hey Rochelle, I can’t believe you didn’t suggest this. Doesn’t it cut down on chipping if you put blue tape on laminate wood and cut through that? That’s just what I’ve seen some folks do on some of the shows I watch.
I love that you guys always go secondhand whenever possible. Sure, you can’t monetize that by providing links, but it’s so real and so good for the world.
I don’t think the beige/maroon curtains goes with the grey wallpaper. I think you should have pulled out a colour from the cool filing cabinet wall to tie it together like a black or green to make it more cohesive. And I prefer the larger table as well. It’s heading in a really cool direction I think it’s just not very cohesive.
Trying to do makeovers secondhand is awesome, but this all feels thrown together and nothing goes together and seems like they will have to redecorate for functionality soon, so what was the point? Just feels very unplanned. Totally agree that each wall feels like a different space and the new table was not a good choice, and I don’t understand the file cabinets at all
The table works fine for a meeting room, but I really hope that is not a work station for 4+ people, how cramped if so! I thought you could have made the original table larger and rounded by utilizing the side panels that were removed? Feels like form was put above function with this makeover, which means it might not have much staying power.
I think the reason purple and red doesn't work with others is, the others are all dark, unsaturated, warm tones. (dark autumn) Meanwhile that purple and red are super saturated and medium to cool tones. That green next to purple is also a bit cold compared to others. If you find it hard to choose colors, I suggest looking at Color Seasons: Autumn. Especially Dark Autumn for the cabinets.
Perhaps the locker wall would have made more sense near the entrance. Especially if you prefer the staff leave their personal belongings more at the front. I agree with a lot of the other comments. There's really no cohesiveness to this. Its too hodge podge. And sure theres lots of other spaces to work, but losing that big table was something im just shocked about. It made SO much sense for the size of the space and staff you have. Also i am sad to see the peice Rosh make go. It also made more sense in that space.
i loved your initial inspiration board, i bet a few updates as you go to continue to work toward that vision would be amazing! 😍 i think the lockers as all different tones of one color would be so fun and more cohesive with the rest of the space! i’m sure the team is loving having a refresh even if there’s mixed feelings 😊 nothing like rearranging your space! you guys do amazing work, thank you for sharing!
Adding the hardware on the false cabinets really helped make it blend in better. I do think some more color all around would have been fun. The other walls almost don’t go with the cabinet wall anymore?
Big no for me. Reminds me of old smelly high school locker room. Sorry for the harsh visuals. But doesn’t seem like a space that would foster a good working environment. Too messy and chaotic. It would give me anxiety to work in this space 😢
This one wasn't for me. Nothing feels like it goes together and it also doesn't feel like you took the team's critiques into consideration. The new table, while it would be a vibe in another space, looks like the kids are doing homework on the dining room table. I loved the old table! it just needed the lockers removed!!! Please don't cut it! Why does everyone gang up on Kelsey when Rochelle is involved? There can't be beef, but sometimes the tension is a lot and it's super awkward to watch.
I love how you guys are never shy to makeover stuff and keep on adding things or changing things, i love that! My house is never done. If its not the vibes anymore, i change it, i love that creative process.
I would have painted the red filing cabinet, that one looked like the odd man out when they were setting them up. I think a navy or something would have gelled better. I love the set up of the cabinet and think it is such a great idea. I do agree with Kelsey on the bigger table and rounded the corners. You'd get more people around it
I think the new table is beautiful, it has enough space and Rochelle did a good job sourcing it. My suggestions 1-The huge curtain should be replaced with a natural (bamboo) roman shade 2- Paint the TV wall or even the whole room burnt orange or do a MC mural 3- Replace the white chairs with something more MC 4- A rug under the table would also make the space grounded. 5- Frame the TV
I don’t think the employees were all that stoked about the space, they were forcing themselves to like it. They had a way better reaction to the backyard makeover
I don’t know guys… I’m usually all onboard with your makeovers, but I need to mull this one over I think. On a positive note, we’ll all get the opportunity to tune into a new episode of loft vibes so the room is more cohesive with the cabinet wall in a few months 😎
Nothing about this is cohesive… saying everything goes together is a stretch. I work in design and am a full time design student, I’m all for “designerly spaces” and out of the box selections but this misses the mark. You didn’t consider functionality, this is an office space for your employees. They voiced needs for more space, around the table and for their things, somehow they received neither. I don’t always love the sorry girls choices, but this one is pretty bad.
The whole point was to make more room for more people, why would you get a smaller table?? And the file cabinets would look cool if they were all one color and had some splashy funky handles. Matte black with the gold from the walls as small polkadots.
I am only commenting because you asked for thoughts. My thoughts are that a ton of your office space seems dedicated to decor and filming. I didn’t realize how big your team is and I am wondering how your staff feels working while power tools are going and content is being filmed? Maybe it truly doesn’t bother them and I’m wrong. But I am wondering if walling off the back area with big windows for some sound privacy and installing long desks along the walls would work. I think the lockers are super cool, but like everyone said the colours aren’t working.
Maybe extend the work table for more room by cutting it in half and adding a strip down the middle and do like a color strip or black to match with the room esthetic
So I’m with Kelsey that downsizing the table and adding more people seems a little crazy. However i think the cabinets could be functional if you assign everyone a cabinet they can put their back packs in there as well. Good job i love the cabinet wall!
I don’t care about channels having sponsorships (get your bag!!), but how do you reckon how horrible AI is for the world/the environment with your dedication to sustainability? To me it seems completely contradictory. No hate! Just haven’t seen anyone talking about this.
If folks want to learn more, Scientific American's article titled "AI’s Climate Impact Goes beyond Its Emissions" is a good start. Editing to add a resource with a excerpt: "The Uneven Distribution of AI’s Environmental Impacts" from the Harvard Business Review- "the global AI energy demand [is] projected to exponentially increase to at least 10 times the current level and exceed the annual electricity consumption of a small country like Belgium by 2026. In the United States, the rapidly growing AI demand is poised to drive data center energy consumption to about 6% of the nation’s total electricity usage in 2026, adding further pressure on grid infrastructures and highlighting the urgent need for sustainable solutions to support continued AI advancement." Personally, I will refuse to use any consumer AI tool because I would rather take the time to learn and practice skills like notetaking, writing, and calendar-building. These are things you can absolutely get better at over time after making mistakes and learning from them. You're worth the time and effort it takes to learn a new skill; no arbitrary increase in "productivity" outweighs that.
Im partial to the OG table.. way bigger and the colour was great. The filing cabinet wall makes the space look so much bigger, I was unsure at first but it looks really good!
the sound of Kelsey getting up from the leather couch is why I hate leather furniture 😂, or rather, not the sound but the feeling of being stuck to it the filing cabinet wall is VERY cool, though personally I would've preferred brighter colours, or just have the black and the brown one to be other colours - and, just because people in the comments want the wall behind the cabinets changed I want to chime in and say I think it's extra cool like it is now with the cabinets! it's a whole vibe!
Same on rounding on old table
I thought I was the only one who thought this! It would’ve just made more sense
I agree I would have kept the larger table and rounded the edges..✌🏼
I love the vibe of the office space and the locker wall looks incredible and functional. I don't like the color of the curtains I don't think it ties into the rest of the colors in the room.. Same here. + the bag hook under the table!!
@@BillyPaulina they asked the staff yes sure.. and then did the polar opposite of what the staff asked for :D good job!

Great space at the end 😊
agree
I agree 100000%!!! I wanted them to round out the big table!! When they cut it in half my heart 💔🥹 Still a cute space though! ✨
they could also cut the new one down the middle and add an insert to make it bigger hehe
I thought that was gonna happen :) but those file cabinets made me not care so much 😊
I agree. The white walls makes it feel dingy like a room with no windows. The wall needs a subtle color
This! The wall behind the cabinets needs some more life and color, whatever is there now is clashing with the cabinets.
Exactly!!! And maybe paint the whiteboard wall too!!
Absolutely
As someone who works at a table all day everyday - I would be furious if someone would downsize the amount of workspace I had.
I worked in a startup once. When the funds got low, CEO replaced, the new one cramped us together like that combining 2 offices. I spoke up, was fired for lacking the spirit and got a much better job. But my guess is, that this is like a conference room situation, which would be totally fine in my book?
@@KarMa-ws3ll Based on previous video's, I think this the place where they actually work...
To be fair, they had the employees vote on what table they liked, and they all were excited by the rounded table.
I don't think it's a downgrade TECHNICALLY because there's no filing cabinet in the way anymore. So it's still an upgrade of space
For the work table: if I was a an employee I'd prefer the bigger table so it feels more like you have you own little space instead of one big table where it feels more like you're at school doing a project
When bosses make design decisions vs the people who actually work
I agree, keep big table, you're lacking in space!
That’s such a good idea!!!
the last thing this horrible "updated" space needs is more material and color clashing...

What a cool idea!!
I mean… this might be the first time I don’t like a makeover that you do 😬😬
I can not believe you shopped up that beautiful table
I love you guys, I’ll keep watching!
who else thought the cabinets were the locker spaces for bags and was very confused when they suddenly pivoted to dumping the bags on the beautiful ottoman?
this is what confused me. are those lockers... not going to be used? I was unclear on it 😂
Yeah! What’s the point of them? One light and an iPad? Why not use the new storage solution for the thing they identified as having a problem storing?
And when they said they don’t use the cabinets that were under the table, and brought in more filing cabinets lol
@@stephanierobertson4971😂😂😂 please
No im not understanding lol, what are the lockers for if not for storage?
Kelsey was right about the table. It matched the curtains so well. The orange table doesn't go and is smaller
Maybe it would go better if the walls weren't white, but that way it wouldn't match the cabinets, there's a lot of warm and cold tones clashing
I feel like the it was so awkward and tense in the room because I think everyone had problems with at least one of the changes lol
That's what I thought! This episode feels like no one is getting along!
I feel like there's a perfect opportunity to add a smol, mini office behind the blue, fake panel. The overall vibes are amazing! Impressed at how cozy it still feels with all the office stuff and metal cabinets.
YESSS bring back the tiny DIY's 💖
OMG i love this idea
You read my mind. Missed opportunity!
Yeeeessssss!
The before was better than the after. This Design style is like “early bachelor college student”.
The new table is beautiful but, imo, it's small for so many people.
Agree
oh seeing you cut that perfectly beautiful and functional table hurt my heart. this makeover isn't for me, but it was still fun to watch :)
I was hoping you will remove the wallpaper experiment behind the TV. The locker wall is great though. I think you should switch the ceiling lamp with a more colorful one to bring the whole room together.
thank you for tuning in 💖
Yes! ORANGE
Omg what if Kelsey did a miniature installation in the space where the blue rectangle is?? That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw that cubby!
😂 imagine it being like a mini office and resembling the old look of this one. Inception offices
I was hoping you would give each person their own desk, kinda like a 70's newsroom look.
👏🏻
Precisely.
Your team's commitment to second-hand is everything, thank you for making it so real and approachable !!
thank you!! 🥰
You could use it to store people’s bags!
Reminds me of the cabinet wall at Regional Assembly of Text. Love this way of repurposing all the awesome vintage metal office furniture out there.
I would personally hang a couple of different knobs under the writing board for the bags, useful cable, snacks and so on. The space under the writing board is a bit challenging and unused.
Now, to me, the chopped-up table could be a perfect addition there on that wall>>> Why not measure it out to see if it could work out because their is never enough table space in anyone's office
Also, I'd bring above the file cabinets some more colorful shelving for books, plants, etc. As it would help to unify that whole wall of colorful cabinetry even more...as would that sawed in-half table beneath your chalkboard, for even more space as it will be needed in the future...Also you could possibly put the other part of the chopped table into the kitchen area for usage during eating or partying events...what does everyone else, think about that because if color and storage is the Sorry Girls motto>> please, then, give it more color so it doesn't look chopped-up in that space as the office will always evolve like any lived in space does...But it's diffinately worth watching as it's upgraded...❤❤
Rochelle is a fabulous addition to this team & like Becky such a lovable soul...Diffinately a great team of lovable folks for us to enjoy content with....What's next guys because more color in the office is needed ❤️ 😮 What does everyone else think 🤔????
@@sandieedward993 agreed, and people can use the chopped in half table as another desk top area if it's under the whiteboard
😂😂😂 lmao u got a point
DKM 😂😂 so true
I think the nearby nook (curved bookshelf, big mirror, etc) should be covered to a space for bags and stuff!
idk i love the round table and the vibes but the biggest problem was space i thought 😭 i was genuinely surprised when the big one was even cut in half
Not my fav look you’ve done. Looks like 2 styles. The curtains, rounded table and leather seating are so different from the metal boxes, chairs and writing board.
More like three or four styles, one on every well.
Totally
I want to know how all the laptops are going to stay powered up on that table? Previous one had cable management holes in the middle.
They added outlet strips underneath the table. It was on the final touches montage.
@@denidoo82 thanks, missed that. Still seems inconvenient
I don't think Becky and Kelsey really give a shit about that. They're not using it so it's clearly an afterthought.
That's a good idea!
I don’t normally comment on anything. But man. Idk….. I’m not sure I like a single thing that changed. 😬. Maybe this makeover deserves a second chance revamp!
100%
I'll say it, it looks horrible like most of the spaces they do.
Then don't watch pookie@@Tarek-tx
The before looked like the after and vice versa.
Love her
Me too ❤
I think the old table was better, bigger and modern but the filing cabinet wall is a very good idea, I love it!
🤣 thank you for watching!! 💞
I agree, they should have sold the white chairs and got black ones that could be conformable, desk chairs not dinning room chairs.
Love the locker wall! I’m glad you guys have embraced color and different styles a little more!
I LOVE that filing cabinet wall. As a purple lover I'm astounded by how you matched that neon purple to the rest of the cabinets with the neon panels. I adore how this touches a little on maximalism without going too ham, definitely a favorite style from you guys now!!
I think it needs a massive center piece like a unique chandelier.
Yes; not a fancy one, particularly, but maybe a colorful '60's-'70's style one.
I agree, reeds kinda empty right now
This is where my limited sense of style and adventure comes into play. I always love these makeovers ladies ❤!
thank you for the suggestions and for watching 🥰
DEFINITELY shoulda rounded the corners on the giant table😩
Form should follow function after all 🙂
For sure it's better, but I know for a fact that there will be a part 3 of this space😂
I think, "for sure it's going to require fixing" as an excuse for more episodes 😂
Looks like an unfunded public school teacher's lounge. Loved the before but happy it works for your team.
I disagree I love the torn wallpaper and organic contrast with the bright cabinets.
@@Jessa8891 I like the wallpaper, I just don’t think it works with the new tan wall/curtains
The curtains were the best, I thought the ripped wallpaper was gonna go but oh well
Totally agreed. Love the curtains, still hate that wallpaper wall😂
I feel like the metal cabinets could be storage for everyone's backpacks. That way they are closer than being in the front entrance area making those cabinets more functional as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
I thought that was what they were intended to be.
Hey Rochelle, I can’t believe you didn’t suggest this. Doesn’t it cut down on chipping if you put blue tape on laminate wood and cut through that? That’s just what I’ve seen some folks do on some of the shows I watch.
Amazing!!!! I literally need this channel to exist forever
I LOVE the filing cabinet wall. So original 😍 I'm also team Kelsey and I would have tried rounding out the corners or something on the bigger table.
Kelsey should make the little gap in the filing cabinet wall into a mini office space!! ✨
Yep. Love the filing cabinet wall. Very cool.
so much color 😍 thank you for watching!
The AI ad makes all the talk of sustainability look even more performative than usual
The light inside the cabinet was such a cool touch!!
Still, I think you guys did the best with what you had, it looks full of character!
the filing cabinet wall is SICK.
I love the filling cabinet wall!! So original! That's why we love the sorry girls, you don't just rip off Pinterest
i loved your initial inspiration board, i bet a few updates as you go to continue to work toward that vision would be amazing! 😍 i think the lockers as all different tones of one color would be so fun and more cohesive with the rest of the space!
i’m sure the team is loving having a refresh even if there’s mixed feelings 😊 nothing like rearranging your space!
you guys do amazing work, thank you for sharing!
Iloved that you put handles and locks on the faux door fronts. That made me so happy😊
Adding the hardware on the false cabinets really helped make it blend in better. I do think some more color all around would have been fun. The other walls almost don’t go with the cabinet wall anymore?
So much space. Yes, because your desk is so small.
we love our new desk 🥰
I enjoyed all the creativity on display in this makeover, but I prefer the first makeover of the space. It’s a matter of taste really. ☺️
Oh nooo, why would you make the desk space smaller?? That's not as practical, especially when the team are saying they want more room
My suggestions
1-The huge curtain should be replaced with a natural (bamboo) roman shade
2- Paint the TV wall or even the whole room burnt orange or do a MC mural
3- Replace the white chairs with something more MC
4- A rug under the table would also make the space grounded.
I don’t always love the sorry girls choices, but this one is pretty bad.
the stacked cabinets were a great idea but i wouldve loved the wall behind it to get a fresh paint too
The whole point was to make more room for more people, why would you get a smaller table??
I'll have to join all the voices saying: just put rounded edges on the huge table! It's too late, I know, but welp :'3
Maybe extend the work table for more room by cutting it in half and adding a strip down the middle and do like a color strip or black to match with the room esthetic
Imagine all the lockers painted in burgandy, it’s wonderful!
Burgundy and pink to match the curtains would look SO good
So I’m with Kelsey that downsizing the table and adding more people seems a little crazy.
THIS!
If folks want to learn more, Scientific American's article titled "AI’s Climate Impact Goes beyond Its Emissions" is a good start.
Editing to add a resource with a excerpt: "The Uneven Distribution of AI’s Environmental Impacts" from the Harvard Business Review-
"the global AI energy demand [is] projected to exponentially increase to at least 10 times the current level and exceed the annual electricity consumption of a small country like Belgium by 2026. In the United States, the rapidly growing AI demand is poised to drive data center energy consumption to about 6% of the nation’s total electricity usage in 2026, adding further pressure on grid infrastructures and highlighting the urgent need for sustainable solutions to support continued AI advancement."
Personally, I will refuse to use any consumer AI tool because I would rather take the time to learn and practice skills like notetaking, writing, and calendar-building. These are things you can absolutely get better at over time after making mistakes and learning from them. You're worth the time and effort it takes to learn a new skill; no arbitrary increase in "productivity" outweighs that.
I agree with this. I'm an Artist and I dislike AI so much 🫠 kind of tired seeing AI this and AI that...
Fully agree.Too bad they probably won’t comment on the criticism.
Genuine question: how is AI bad for the environment? Im not really informed as I try to stay as far away from it as possible
Im partial to the OG table.. way bigger and the colour was great. The filing cabinet wall makes the space look so much bigger, I was unsure at first but it looks really good!
The filing cabinet wall is very cool. I don't think I've seen anyone else do it and it's a perfect fit for your eclectic decor. Looks great!
I liked it, the only thing I would change is the wallpaper on the TV wall.
the sound of Kelsey getting up from the leather couch is why I hate leather furniture 😂, or rather, not the sound but the feeling of being stuck to it
the filing cabinet wall is VERY cool, though personally I would've preferred brighter colours, or just have the black and the brown one to be other colours - and, just because people in the comments want the wall behind the cabinets changed I want to chime in and say I think it's extra cool like it is now with the cabinets! it's a whole vibe!
But in Canada, most of the year will there will not be uncovered skin on leather.
@@TamarLitvot fair enough!
