Sad the video cuts early- when I saw it, she just stayed on stage crying as the applause cut off. It was so painful and so accurate to the way even her pain is turned into a performance and never taken seriously.
I saw an interview with Sam Pauly and she talking about how a fan said that “I should not have been laughing at this”

This is seriously the most heartbreaking of all the songs in Six. That poor girl never had anyone looking out for her. It makes me sick how she was groomed and abused. I cry every damn time at the end. Hats off to the magnificent performer--bravo 👏🏽
I remember seeing this in December, obviously not the same actress but very much the same level of emotion. After her song everyone in the audience kinda sat there in silence as she cried. Like everyone was like “damn, do we clap at that?” But as soon as she goes “and then I was beheaded” did everyone go “oh, okay, yeah we can clap”
Small detail but i also love that at the end where there are the most hands on her, when she’s finished singing and she’s standing all of them walk away emotionless like they’re done using her and she’s useless to them now
that person coughing when she starts the final chorus is my arch nemesis

i would give anything to experience seeing west end Six live again not knowing that the final verse is so gut wrenching and raw in this version. the way my jaw dropped to the floor and i legitimately started tearing up
Every time I get cat called while walking by myself on the street I feel like that final verse when all the hands are on her and she realises she's only her body and sexual object to men and that's all she ever was and ever will be
They did an awesome job putting that feeling into the performance
i unironically come back here almost daily. sam's k howard is just THAT good. this shit changed the chemistry of my brain. thank you for uploading it again 🫶

The worst part is that she doesn’t really want a good romantic relationship, she just wants a friend. Even though she’s making jokes all through the show, she never wanted a relationship.
The “jokes” seem more of her just growing up it starts when shes 13 when shes still a child and isnt thinking much of it but as it goes on and shes growing up shes coming to realization and maturing and the song gets darker

6:24 WHO FUCKING LAUGHED AT THAT….that’s so symbolic of how K. Howard is done with the shit these men put her through (This is coming from a boy by the way)
I noticed that it sounded as if it was mostly men that are 30-50 years old…
I thought it was a “ew get off me peasants” gesture
It was the casual way she just shrugged them off that was funny. And at this point in the song, the audience is only just starting to realize how tragic Howard's situation was, so it comes off less like her being fed up with being used and more like her being annoyed by it.

Anyone realize that in the end of the first chorus she said “I think this guy is” instead of “I thought this guy was” which means K Howard was SA’D WAYYYY before Henry Manox if that’s not the case she would’ve used “I thought” basically saying now that “I’m older I know he wasn’t different” but she didn’t use “I thought” her younger self used “I think”
There is no evidence she had an affair with Manoxx but there is a lot of evidences what she slept with her next guy, when she was 14…. I refuse to call whatever Kate and Henry had a marriage, her parents straight up sold her. Of course the second she was accused no one actually cared about her and everyone left….
I live in La Crosse and the fact that Sam went to Viterbo is amazing! Like the choreographer for our high schools version of The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee this year was the stage manager for Viterbos version in 2010 and she worked with Sam!

8:11 is so relatable to me and it expresses my rage with some bad past experiences with men (and one girl. Im straight now) and its my fave part
Sam (k howard) makes me question if i am lesbian. Her voice,acting,personality,how she treats others,the pure range on her vocals, not to mention she is stunning and her fashion!!
