- I’ve teamed up with Domino® Sugar to create this golden berry Chantilly cake! It’s made with Domino® Golden Sugar which pairs perfectly with its fluffy mascarpone cream cheese frosting and mixed berry filling.
Domino® Golden Sugar is less-processed than granulated sugar. It’s made from pure cane sugar and works cup-for-cup just like white sugar! The main difference is that it has a beautiful golden color and a distinct hint of molasses flavor.

For those complaining that this recipe is too sweet, you can always substitute with regular granulated sugar. You don’t have to use the gold Domino sugar.

Your vanilla cake recipe was superrrrr sweet! Lol. I had to run for some water. I couldnt imagine eating with frosting. So in my mind all your cakes are super sweet!!!🙃😩. This looks delish though . Same thing happened to me. But I cut the sugar by 1/2 cup.. and it was delicious 😍
You could always try again. Make the recipe your own and tweak the recipe. I've always used Chelsey's recipes and had no issues. You could make a Swiss meringue buttercream which isn't as sweet as American buttercream 🤷🏽♀️..Also try using curds or jams as fillings and no buttercream. Keep trying and adjust to your personal liking 🤪🤔😊

Can you make these into cupcakes and add the berries in the middle? Would the berry mixture make the cupcakes soggy?
my frosting was working out until the butter. Maybe my bowl was still too warm from the double boiler? It melted turning it rather runny. :(
I'm curious, why did you opt fot the whisk over the paddle?

Curious about your thoughts on the ethics of baking during COVID? There are lots of ingredient shortages and limits. We also don't know how long this will go on for......Many new bakers have emerged and are baking up a storm. I wonder if this is the best time to be using up grocery store eggs, milk, and butter to bake though?

I think Chantilly is such a beautiful cake aesthetically but I hate the taste! My family and friends LOVE it and I just can’t I am a total sweets person and it’s torture when they get this cake for birthdays because I sit there watching them eat it😰 VANILLA BUTTERCREAM GIRL THROUGH AND THROUGH💪

I don’t understand all the rave reviews... I tried making this Chantilly frosting twice- sure that I did something nonsensical the first time. Both frostings were so incredibly soupy. I’m so sad. I had to turn my cake into a trifle because the topping was so unstable. All the flavors were great, but totally not worth trying at again. It let me down big time.
Frosting like this take practice. I have tried countless times, and I still cant get it right. Ended up with lots of soup frosting too.
