Making a 2022 BRZ Hoonigan-Spec - The Bolt-On Bois are BACK!

- The 2022 Subaru BRZ is a solid vehicle, but a stock vehicle ain’t a Hoon-spec vehicle! The Bolt-On Boys are on the case but they’re not touching the FA24 direct injection motor - instead they’re tossing on fresh TSW Wheels, Falken Tires, SPARCO seats, tiny Antigravity Battery, a beautiful V-shaped Neo exhaust from Magnaflow, and some sweet coilovers from BC. Anyone can be a Bolt-On Boy, though the car lift does help!

Fun tip for the camber plates… buy arp bolts to replace the super small Allen screws.

That coilover adjustment tip by Vin just changed my life.
Ron... end link adjustable height don't change the moment arm on the antirollbar. The anti roll bar stiffness on that car is exactly the same - all you did was to move the relative position of the antirollbar back where it supposed to be before you lowered the car. If you wanted to change the antirollbar stiffness you have to change the antirollbar with adjustable length ones. If its thicker/thinner or different material from stock it will also affect the torsional stiffness

Dont forget to redo the rtv on the oil pan, they are known to have too much and clog the oil pickup starving the engine of oil pressure👍🏻

That black grommet for the rear rotors Zach doesn't know about is Incase the rotor gets seized on the shoes for the brake you line that hole up with the shoe adjuster and turn it in so it's not pressing on the rotor 🤟 it's ok it's a midwest thing cuz we have salt and bs that messes cars up might as well brake out the torch for cars out here 😂
For those that don't know, that's a helmholtz resonator system, it's common in high quality street exhaust systems. If you're interested in learning more please look into it, it's really interesting, and if more people catch on they may trickle down to more budget systems

You had me at the Farscape clip.
The rubber plug that you swapped is to turn the park brake adjuster when the lip grows from rust. When they get old, and you don't adjust them in when swapping the rotors, the rotor will pull the pins through the backing plates. Anywho, good on you for swapping the rubber plug.

Need to raid the Toyota bin for some of the stock parts of their GR86. Namely the Al umi I’m steering knuckles. The Scuby has cast iron ones. The rear suspension x-member also has a much more rigid roll bar mount.

Dude…here’s some advice from a tech school grad who spent years working in dealerships. Do yourself a favor…become a fleet mechanic for you local transit company. You get paid hourly instead of flagged hours, and you start off making WAY more than you ever would at a dealership or other shop. Thank me later.

Remove that second smaller air filter! It's shown to actually gain power from pulling the charcoal filter out.

That plastic hole cover in the rear rotor is to adjust park shoes inside the rotor.

The plastic plug on the back rotor is to adjust the brake shoe without taking off the rotor
Def stop by the showroom/garage if you get a chance, so fun and you get all kinds of stoopid ideas for your own car. The Engine Wall is a work of art. All I need now is a wheel balancer and a lift and a Suppy.
I guess we’ll have to take this to a mechanic for a used car inspection to check EVERYTHING after we win this car 🤣💀
