Good Lord, the C6 design is a forever classic. Gotta say that the switch back to the yellow hood is chefs kiss. Something about the solid color lower and black canopy that just works. Good job Hoon squad and good luck/congrats to the future winner.
Absolutely love how this turned out, nothing in yoru face , just subtle OEM+ updates including the LED clusters. It all comes together and modenizes the car without loosing the lines as originally intended, but cleans it up well. Those front lights work SO much better for the overall look of the car compared to the OEM ones.
I used to watch this incredible drag racing event on RUclips a long time ago from Germany. There was an AWD Corvette with a huge turbo sticking out of the hood . It beat everything it raced . Wish I could see that again.

Is the valve issue due to heavy/hard use (high revs) or is it kind of like the Porsche IMS bearing issue (eventually, it WILL fail)?

My favorite car I’ve owned was my N/A bolt on 606 whp ‘06 c6 z06,..SUCH a fun ass car! 7.0 liter LS7 427! Sold in trade for my youngest baby daughter❤️ ,..wel worth it! Do miss the car tho too. 😉 my two oldest daughters in elementary school used to ask to be drove to and picked up from school in “the z06” that’s my girls! ❤️❤️
If that C6 is anything like the other Vette variants I've worked on, you gotta pull the rear bumper and a few more things to get the stock exhaust removed. Same thing if you're replacing it with another stock assembly.

I’m not doubting yawls ability to work on cars but I have taken my factory exhaust, and corsa extreme exhaust by myself on jackstands… Once you get it one time you’ll never forget lol
I was under the impression rods should be since they are forged ti, as long as they aren’t wearing. The pistons are hypereutectic though, I want to go forged piston in my z rebuild.
This vette is an '06. It was only between '08 and '10 that the valves were a problem. It became a recall item as well and 2011+ it was completely eliminated.
So most of the comments are saying they didn't change the headers, cams, lifters, or springs and that it won't last long how it is. It should be fine if the oil level is kept up on and it isn't driven at 100% throttle all the time. Just watch the gauges keep it cool and oil up. Or yes spend the money to get those replaced. But Chevy/GM parts are already pretty tough from factory when it's stuff in their motors.

FYI for anyone watching, the KN oil filters, NEVER EVER use a wrench to install, only to remove, you can weaken the filter housing and it will leak / blow out under pressure if you use the hex w a wrench to install
