This may be off interest to anyone wanting a little direction with setups David Greco(Codemasters lead handling physics dev for 9 years and F1 23 being his last game) posted this on EA Answers just after 23 launched.
Wings: quite high in general, more = fastest lap times. Balance it for good top speed and ers efficiency in race, but the more you can use, better it is. Also the more downforce you use, bigger can be the difference between front and rear wing (more front +1 to +7) .
Differential, 65 to 50 on power and 55 to 50 off throttle. Just helps car's rotation.
Geometry, the more camber, more is the stability but less reactive. I like to use from centre to more negative camber, every time. Less camber I feel it gives too much instability.
Toe, is similar feeling to camber, but here you do need as much rotation and reactivity as possible, so I go from centre to low, both front and rear. Also less toe helps a little on top speed and tyre temps.
Suspension
Here is the biggest changes but follows similar pattern to 22 for springs and arb.
Low front as it gives maximum downforce and stiff, very stiff suspension. The more fast corners with high load on suspension and tyres, the stiffer you have to go. Front ride height anything from 30 to max 33, depending on high load corners and bumps on track.
The rear is quite the opposite, you want it quite higher and very soft.
High to make it rotate under braking, soft to squat and get traction on acceleration and also to "stall" the downforce at the rear at high speed corners so makes the car rotate more.
Brakes, 53 to 58 depending on corner, fuel, tyre wear and so on.
Tyre pressure, as low as possible where you need a lot of mechanical grip, higher when you need more stability and grip at high load (downforce).
Less tyre pressure = Less tyre wear, less tyre heating, more traction, less high speed performance and less top speed.
More tyre pressure = more tyre wear and heating as consequence of more pressure on a smaller surface and therefore more sliding of the tyre surface. But gives more performance at high load/downforce and more top speed.

Although when it comes to F1 E-Sports I only have eyes for the hotness that is Jakey boy Benham. Ever since I stumbled across your camera settings video back on F1 2021 and instantly finding 2 seconds a lap across all tracks just by reducing FOV by 10. Ever since youve been my go to F1 Guru. 👍.

I am racing in WOR but still like doing 28.0 level and I cannot figure out how to find the 1 second to you guys, probably is skill issue at this point 😂. I feel like that you gain so much time on traction, when I am racing I feel always like driving on ice. (I am on pc).

It may be an hardware issue. Or simply you could try and move the pedals a bit further from yourself so you can be a bit smoother on throttle application

Dude my best time is 28.9 and I had to sweat for it lol I think now i can maybe find a tenth or 2. Turn 10 is killing me, I always miss the apex and when I do get it, I do it to slow. Great Video glad to see you back in F1!

Thanks Marcel. I am having a hard time turning the car at slow corners. You mentioned "use throttle to rotate the car", can you elaborate it a bit? I tried gradual throttle once at/after apex but the car simply understeer and led to track invalidation. Thank you

Yes but you will be way faster in the corners 🙏
Does lower fps really make that big a difference? Would that explain some console players outrageous racing lines on curbs

I’m no guru. So take what I say with pinch of salt. Don’t tend to touch div. But brakes. For hard braking into tight corners I push it forward then back when it comes to medium corners
T11 is where I lose so much damn time. I don't even know why, it's not a difficult corner. But comparing to the ghosts of the guys ahead of me in the TT leaderboard, I always drop like 0.150 at T11 and can't figure it out.
How can I make it more reactive it feels so lazy rn
Can only just get into 1.28’s on controller with no assists, its hard man. Can maybe gain a couple tenths. No clue how yous get low 27’s
I find I can't brake at the 100m board into turn 1. I lock up almost every time. I use 100% brake pressure, and like 57% brake bias.

20 front suspension seems low, what’s the reasoning behind that?
TT Base no real reason I usually tend to run 41 front suspension everywhere but would have to balance it out properly

I'm a bit new to this game. Why do you go off track in several places? The game is not realistic enough so that you can cheat by driving off track?? no wheelspin? This is what I don't like about these "sim games" that they are not really simulations. In real life you don't take 50% of your car to the gravel in order to gain speed. Please explain. If you can. :) thanks.
