Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. These videos hopefully make you excited to travel and eat food around the world as well. There's such a joy in getting out of your comfort zone and growing as human being by traveling to new places and eating delicious food you've never tasted before.
I'm currently based in Bangalore because India is my favourite country in the world. Travel in India is kind of my thing but I've been al over the world. Just check these playlists to begin your journey with me: bit.ly/2l4sMk4
FAQ's:
Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: bit.ly/2l17T9h
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: • HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORL... and this one: • HOW TO SAVE MONEY FOR ... to learn more about my story.
Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use?
A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.
Q Why do you love India so much?
A Watch this video: bit.ly/2iyUKkc and this one: • WHY I LOVE INDIA - 6 M...
Hii Ivana , Kerala has always been my favorite place as it's my mom's birth state and I love visiting my relatives over there every year and each year I discover something new to love about Kerala .I actually prefer Kerala over Goa( which is my dad's birth state) ,which gives a shock to most people 🤷But anyways I totally get you when u say that you love Kerala. Can't wait to visit Kerala again this year away from the crowded Mumbai city😂😂😅♥️

India becomes unexpectedly beautiful at the ends whether in North(Kashmir) or South(Kerala), East(Arunachal) or West (Kutchh,Gujarat) ...All has its own unique taste.... definitely Kerala is in my bucketlist! I have heard Kerala is famous for its Ayurvedic Spa, also there are plenty of hill stations and waterfalls, I want to go Sabrimala atleast once in a life time, Also, Dance forms inside "Kerala" are amazing and one of the ancient classical dance forms...... They have definitely preserved their culture!
Please Ivana, come to East or North East Side, at least 2 days! There is also a huge fan following and a different pleasant world! 🙏
I went to Kerala with my family in the yr 2012 and visited Cochin,Munnar, Thekkary, Allepey and Trivandrum... Loved the nature there and the food... Its a state of India where you will get the Sea, the Hills, the Backwaters and the the Forest all together... Loved the spice gardens and the backwaters... People there are so friendly...
Happy to hear
There was snow in Munnar this year...
I recently visited Kerala for a friend's wedding and was blown away by it's beauty and plethora of food platters that it has to offer. I fell in love with hospitality of the people there and enjoyed every minute of my stay. Kerala is a must visit for everyone for all it is :) The best part is either beaches or waterfalls will be a stone's throw away from any part of Kerala :D
Totally agree🙌🏻
I'm loving this vlogs I wanna live in kerala now 🤭... can you make 100 more episodes of kerala? hehehe is just beautiful, lots of green 😍

Welcome to kerala.... We treat our guest as a one of our family
Kerala is known as " God's own country ".Definitely, it's serenic beauty justifies it's names. Be it waterfall, beaches, food or people, Kerala outshines in all. One fact about Kerala is that, it has highest literacy rate among all Indian states. I live in Delhi and I have many friends from Kerala since childhood. Thought, I have never visited Kerala but seen Kerala from the eyes of travel vloggers like you. Also, my friends shows me pictures of their visit every time they go and also bring lots of food from there. I will definitely go there soon. Loved your Kerala vlogs.

Welcome to Kerala
I have never been to Kerala and I am dying to go. It really is God's Own Country. It seems so magical and untouched. Like its abundant nature is beautifully preserved there. I am actually planning on either going to Kerala for an Ayurvedic retreat or to actually study Ayurveda there. Kerala is truly like a sanctuary. Bless all the people who live and visit there.
Btw Gurl! your outfit at the waterfall was stunning! You are glowing!
The part when the staff member sprayed rose mist on you, that was so funny but so cute and genuine. Love ya!
You are always welcome to kerala... I came back from Dubai for a 2 month vacation to kerala.. Bye the way I am a Keralite and kerala is my home...
Always welcome to Kera🌴a
Ayurveda is a recognized medical practice here. You would have to ace Entrance Examination with highschool graduates to attend an Ayurveda medical College
Kerala is BEAUTIFUL! Your Vlogs have only confirmed that and ignited in me the desire to travel there. I want to see the beautiful beaches, enjoy the warm tropical like weather, I want to eat the amazing south Indian foods ( I hear veg thalis are very elaborate down in Kerala) and I want to talk and connect with the kind-hearted Kerala people! India is so beautiful and your vlogs are a true gift that we keep getting day after day! Thank you.

Kerala is indeed gods own country. Proud to be a keralite and feels more excited when vloggers like you enjoy being here . This place has got something and that something is incomplete without tourists
The forests you see beyond the waterfall was a place I used to go almost every day...it's abundant in wildlife and excellent for bird spotters.... now closed due to elephant attacks in the region....I love my Kerala
Nice. Ayurveda has its origins in and around the Himalayan Regions and is dated back to as old as Indus Valley Civilization, 6000 BCE.
As someone who also vlogs and is going to India soon I just want to compliment all the work you put into your point of view clips they’re amazing! But I giggled a bit when the beet root glass hit the camera 😅 the struggle is real. Awesome videos by the way I’m so glad I found your channel before my trip!
Wow her vlogs are pretty engaging 😍😍
Well thank you!
I am from Kerala, a small beautiful town called Kannur. Family is the main reason that I love visiting this state. A close second would be the food, I prefer mildly spice food, so the coconut or curd based gravies are more soothing to my palate. I do take the natural beauty of the region for granted, my house being a few hundred meters from a long expansive beach which has one of the best sunsets I have seen! :) Really happy that you are revisiting Kerala, I loved your Kochi Yoga blogs, they were really raw and genuine...
Hi Ivana....love watching your videos. I am from NE and I have never visited kerela. I always hear and read about its natural beauty and its rich culture. Thanks for your videos through which you are giving us a virtual tour. Coming from a greenery and beautiful place myself I can totally connect with you how we can never have enough natural beauty, it can calm anyone anytime showing how our soul truly needs to be around and close to nature. Waiting eagerly to see all other parts of Kerela. Keep up the good work Ivana❤❤
That's amazing! Thank you so much!
U are always welcome to kerala
Kerala looks very beautiful, and was not on my bucket-list until now. Maybe it's something for the winter. But of course not the Hyatt, by two reasons: It's way out of my budget, I looked up, it starts with 148 Euro per night. :O. But also that's not the kind of holiday I like. A luxury hotel is like an airport, it's international and the same everywhere. Same food, same rooms, same service. Boring. I prefer to get in contact with the normal people living there. See their villages and cities, see how they live and what they do. Not that I would not like some luxury once in a while, but no need to travel to Kerala for that, Düsseldorf or Amsterdam would be enough.
Well said
Hmmm I can understand where you're coming from. Kerala has something for everybody I guess😊 Loved seeing the local life during my previous visits but also loved this experience. Indian hospitality is always on a different level than anywhere else in the world ;-)
Use Airbnb and Uber to travel to Airbnb rooms near tourist locations and hill station

'Welcome to Kerala! Nice to meet you!' - malayalies should get me, right? Joke!!
Madam, you are doing a great job. Keep going! Love you and your vedios👍👍
Kerala is always my vacation destination. Because it is my home state. :). I'm extremely lucky to be born in here. I have been to many states in India. But the greenery, healthy cuisine and warm welcome in Kerala , i cannot compare it with any of other states. I have a suggestion, There are 4 international sairports in Kerala. (Kannur is the new one) . As a foreigner, Kochi may be a comfort zone. But I would suggest you to go and explore Malabar area that is North Kerala sometimes or other districts in Kerala. Calicut, Kannur, Kasargode, Palakkad, Trivandrum,. You can take a train from Cochin.
Oooh you're very lucky indeed!!!
Kerala is full of interesting things. I went there by train from Madras only because I had stamps from Cochin. WHen I got to Madras station all the trains were booked up but not the train to Cochin. So I went. Thats when India really opened up to me and I loved it. I remember a Dutch village.and the Bolgatti palace. oh in 1979
Wow its great a amazing video. super cool. waterfall is amazing.
Thank you!
I never been to kerala ,Its in my bucket list.
Oooh you must!
It's one of my must visit place list when I will go India..after seeing your video I think this time I 'll definitely go kerala😍😍

And definately hotel hayat is on my list for their beautiful views and services!!...the food at there hotel looks super fresh!!@😍
OMG Ivana... The editing was soo soo soo good... Also Kerala is on my bucket list now❤❤❤
Awww thank you so much!
Ayurveda was never invented in Kerala. All the vedas originated in north Western India along Indus saraswati rivers. But to give them credit, they jave actually preserved the system much better.
people are so friendly and always smiling here in kerala. I know you are experiencing 5 star luxury right now and you would expect this kind of thing in these hotels at kerala, but even out of the nice hotel and onto the streets or canals of the backwaters, people are more than happy to be waving and saying hello to you. Maybe it has something to do with the natural beauty that surrounds them.I actually prefer the cuisine down here! Kerala is known as the land of palm trees so coconuts are very much a staple for food, skin and hair, and many other uses. Just some of my favourite dishes so far have been the Putta (coconut rice) with squashed bananas - a popular breakfast option, and the Palada Payasam which is a dessert usually made with rice ada, milk, sugar and ghee. A traditional meal for the Kerala region is served on a banana leaf like you already had at restaurant near waterfall.
People at kerala also love to receive gifts like me from u.😉
Awesome vlog and awesome food review ivana and I'll love to visit Kerala someday ❤️
