Prawn spinners are an extremely effective salmon fishing lure. Cured prawns and coon shrimp hold well in refrigeration for months and can be used to target multiple species of salmon including chinook, coho, and sockeye salmon. In this video I demonstrate how to tie and rig a prawn spinner rig which can be trolled behind a flasher or on its own to target migratory salmon. - Спорт

Very informative. Thank you!
Good for plunking for salmon too? Newby question...:-)
where can I get coin shrimp I live in ca
Do you think these would work in the great lakes casting of a pier for the fall salmon run
No reason to think they wouldn't. However, I would wrap some miracle thread over the shrimp to make it last longer if I were casting it.
thank you will give it a try
Do you use shrimp on spinners for spring salmon or just summer/fall? Thanks.
All seasons.
@@spiltmilt I noticed you use red tape on your 360 flasher. Do you find the red to help and result in more bites than all chrome? Thanks.
How long do Loonie Coonnies last opened and unopened? Thanks
I commonly use it 1 year later and it is still firm and catches fish.
Can you swap the blade for a spin and glo?
Yes
Spilt Milt Production
what size spinner blade do you recommend? thanks for the video!!!
wilson flanders size 5,6,7 will work...
Thank you!!
do these just work in rivers or will they work I'm estuaries and inlets?
Not many folks us them in the salt but I’m sure they would work
@@spiltmilt ok thanks. I've never tried them but they sure look effective in the rivers. Appreciate it
any lucky with just casting the rig and retrieving it?
Probably wouldn't work as it would tear the shrimp up.
I tied your snell knot and it is wrapped wrong, and comes apart. I watched several different videos on the snell knot it is very different than yours. It is just as easy to tie a egg loop knot.
I've never lost a fish on them. You must be doing it wrong.
