Nice! Like the simplicity of it. Now all I have to do is get that bleeping egg loop knot figured out! 😂😂😂 2 questions: 1) Do you put any beads in between the trailer hook & the treble hook? 2) Why do you not put any beads just above the eyelet hook then push the tubing down over it? Preference thing? Thanks, good vid!
No, I do not put any beads in between the trailer and the treble. It is a preference thing as far as beads above the eyelet hook. There are many different ways to rig them, this way has just worked for me since the start, so I haven't altered it much.
Does this work for casting heavier spinners from shore in the salt? Replace the tubing with a 1/4 or 1/2 oz "body" for weight? My main thought is that the components would slide too much when you cast, and get tangled or not look like a spinner on the retrieve (jumbled mess). Also, why monofilament instead of something harder, like fluorocarbon?
If you’re tying a spinner for springers or coho, something that you will use a shrimp on, do you just reverse your hooks? Do you use a red treble as a trailer in that situation?
I use 30 for leaders and hook rigs when i'm fishing from shore. I used to use 40 for all trolling rigging, but I started using 50 for chartering around 2 yrs ago because people were losing some fish and gear. Ive had no breakoffs since the switch to 50 and i haven't noticed any difference in the bite... I'm not sure 50 would fit through the eye of the stinger used in this video.
Majority of my buddies that guide run 50 as well, I dont guide so all the people I take are friends and family who know how to fish so I can get away with 30 in most conditions. @@littlegoobie

@@jarodhigginbotham398 yes, I have figured that part out. Did pretty decent on Pinks this year using a single rig like this.
Excellent video
thanks

I personally run my prawn spinners for springers with a 3/0 lead hook and a 2/0 trailer and they are both singles
What pound test line do you recommend for that
I like 30 or 40 depending on fishery
@jarodhigginbotham398 thank you

Thanks Jerod, that's what I've been using.
What kind of treble is that? 1x or 2x strength? Brand?
