احمد شكور You can use tissue to clean the old thermal paste, but be carefull, don't scratch it. There's no need to aplly a lot of thermal paste, but it must cover all crystal of the chip.
can I just apply the thermal paste without spreading it cause I have watched several tutorial videos, they spread it first before put the heat sink...I'm so sorry if I ask to many questions cause it is my first time learn to apply thermal paste in laptop,so I need enough in4mation about the procedures.. hope you will help me...
Is the cpu removable or is it fixed in place. I’m wondering if I can upgrade the i5 to an i7. I have to replace the keyboard but the last time I took it apart I didn’t see if the cpu was removable.
Hi there, I have the K55VJ with I7 3630QM 2.4 GHZ and Geforce GT 635M with 2GB. I just did the cleaning of inside dust (Thanks for the video). There was a little mess with thermal paste around the processor and video card, just left it as it was and added some new paste. Now when i run GTA V my processor gets ~92 degrees of celsium. Is it ok or should i clean the old mess around the processor and video card?
Since it is a pretty frustrating job to dissasemble this laptop i left it the way it is, played GTA V until i got bored, all fine, laptop still running great :) Thanks again
@@joeshadowart yes I just got the little screwdrivers that come with I'd say drones or something and put a glove over it so it doesn't hurt if hand then push down really hard on the screw and twist

You need to re-apply thermal grease

I replaced thermal paste, put everything together. When I turn it on, it runs but nothing will show on display.. it's weird.

The magnet on the screwdriver being so close to the HDD is a really bad idea.
That magnet is nowhere near strong enough to cause any damage to a HDD.
