I'm curious as to what precautions, if any, need to be taken if you do a full reset on an android phone after you have set up the app.?

Great video!! One question, does this work on iPhone if I try logging in directly through an app? For example, if I try to log into Instagram though the app (not through a browser) on my iPhone, will the keyboard detect it and auto fill through 1Password?
Juan, yes this will still work. 1Password integrates well with iOS and Android to permit logins with apps and web browsers.
I have an iphone 12 and a laptop on Windows 10. Which device is it best to set up my passwords and vaults? I assume I will have access on both devices after I download the app to both?
Hello James. For most users, setting up the password manager in either place should be safe. We might slightly lean towards conducting the initial account setup and vault creation on the iPhone, which does offer a more robust privacy environment. Keep in mind the vaults are actually created in the 1Password cloud unless you choose the local storage option. However, local storage would prevent syncing across devices and would likely not be best for most users as it would break much of the usability features for multi-device households.
Once you have it setup, then install the app and/or browser extension anywhere you’d like and it will sync across the devices quickly. For most users, creating a new login on Windows in the vault is safe. We would recommend Brave or Firefox browsers for the best privacy and security. Generally, Brave may be more secure “out of the box” but Firefox is a stellar option, too.
i know this is a dumb question! but once i import my passwords from chrome to 1pass do i delete all my passwords that are in googles password manager?
There are few truly “dumb” questions, and this certainly isn’t one. The answer to this really depends on your security goals, but generally we would recommend that after importing your passwords from any browser-based solution that you delete them from the browser and disable the feature for you browser to save future passwords.
I can install 1Password app and browser extension on my phone, but I cannot install them on my corporate laptop due to my company restrictions. Can I still use 1Password on my corporate laptop? Will I be able to automatically sync the corporate laptop with my phone and other devices (my wife's)? What will be the main drawbacks using 1Password on my corporate laptop?
This is a great question that we see a lot. Many companies understandably have policies restricting unverified software (to include browser extensions) from being downloaded and used on enterprise devices.
We recommend three approaches:
1) Ask the security or policy manager at your company to review 1Password for compliance and subsequent inclusion on the approved software list. Most like as a web browser extension, but they may approve the app itself.
2) Ask the company to review recent and relevant studies showing how attacks are increasingly targeting business credentials and that password hygiene is critical at a time when the average person has over 50 accounts for various purposes (making password recycling or reuse too common). Ask them to sponsor an enterprise license for all employees.
3) The least pleasant method of using 1Password if the two solutions above don’t work, is to resort to viewing a password or passphrase on your phone and then type it in on your enterprise device. This is understandably tedious, and not ideal. It may be made somewhat easier by using readable words with special characters separating them as your default password option, as this makes it considerably faster to type.

Thank you for the feedback, Malcom. We have played around with the background music a little over our videos to make it appropriately “background” and will pay attention to it.
Awesome video details. Actually i found that on Mac, each time we close Chrome and reopen it, it ask us the Master password which can be very annoying. Is there any cure for it to stay logged in? I couldnt find the extention 1password (with the X at the end) on Chrome store and i installed the normal one. I hope thats not what is causing my above issue right? Thank you🙂
Ronni, we’re glad that you found the video useful! 1Password is working on the functionality between the desktop app and the 1Password X browser extension, which would allow you to close and re-open the browser without needing to renter the master password (so long as you are logged in on the desktop app). However, this is currently only in beta (test phase) on macOS and Windows. We’ve experienced mixed results through our testing on macOS. Perhaps in time this will be more functional.
@@jehusecurity Hey thanks for your help. Hohever that wasnt the case with my machine. I have an apple with Catalina, and while i have open the desktop app , whn i try oto close the browser and reopen it no it doesnt stay logged in and ask me for password every single time. i tried to uninstall it or try on mozill nothins, same results. i ivn try this on el capitan mac.
so it pissed me so much that i already bought the dashlane. do you this will be fixed anytime soon? if they will fix it i will cancell my subscription with dashlane as long as i am in the 30 day period and will go with 1password.

Hey, I agree with Richard that your video is difficult to understand because you use terminology that tech savvy people feel comfortable with. Chances are that the people that need to reference your channel are older, less tech savvy and like me, get loss. You talk too fast. No question that the content is a great service and well presented but for less tech savvy, your professional language is too difficult to keep up with. Thanks anyway. I’ll try and listen to you video again again and perhaps get something out of it. I want to do @FA but I can’t understand how you do it
