43” TLS SX side by side comparison with a 42” M/T Baja Boss

  • Just a general comparison between the two tires, not a performance comparison. SX is a 43x14.50x17 and the Mickey is the new 42x13.50xR17 radial. Time to put some miles on these new radials and see how they do.

      @ You bet. Those are Trail Ready 17x8 with a 3.5” backspace. They make them in a cast and forged version. I bought these used and honestly don’t know which ones they are but I’ll assume they are cast since the forged ones are over $1,000.00 each.

    I dont understand why some of the biggest tires are on available in a 17 in wheel. I ran 42s on tons in a K5 and could not turn very well because of the backspacing and wheel width on a 17 x 9 wheel which is almost the only wheel size available.
