100% there where. Everything that's going off in the world at the moment and I do worry about society today and should the need to fight for our country occur, I honestly believe we are screwed.

Always interesting these videos because there is so much history in these stories. John Farnhill did so much for he's country. Tuberculosis took so many lives years ago. Thanks for sharing, very interesting 👍👍👍

A fascinating story. Appreciated. Well presented. The headstone of the soldier that died in 2000, those post WW2 have a cut away on the top left and right of the headstone, those are MOD headstones, all the others are Commonwealth War Graves Commission

I know you did try is 2 years ago but I have just come to your channel. The graveyards up where you are look magnificent. I watched your Moses Clayton video. My Grandad who lives in Bacup and is buried in the cemetery you walked around d would surely have known of him. Too late of course. Going g back to this video, does the church or council have an owd photos of the graveyard in earlier times. Cameras were around d from 2nd half of 19th century. I will do some digging g and must pay a visit to East Lancs. Keep it up Chris

I would think somewhere old photos do exist. We do try to source them for videos, but it's hard at times to find the ones that would fit perfectly.

Great work again. I used to live on Astley Street! The feature you ask about in the cemetery, just a thought but there may have been a wooden gate between the posts and the farmer could corral sheep through on to a cart??

It's definately a strange feature for sure 🤔 I'm going to look up some old Victorian maps of Darwen and see if they may shed any light 😂

I really enjoyed this one Chris. A lovely tribute to a War Hero. A very well decorated memorial also. Lest we forget.

It's a brilliant story and one I think I'll look into in more depth. I only heard of him this morning and as we were visiting the cemetery he is interred at we decided to make two videos in one 👍

not to far away from the polish man who come down in plane crash during ww2... some of the plane is still at the crash location.

I've never really looked into that story too much. Would be brilliant to travel to where the crash took place and document the story from there. Do you know by any chance how to get up there?

I've looked on Google map and thankfully have an idea how to reach the area. I'll have to check out somewhere safe to park and then we will definately be interested in covering this story.
