Choi is the only capable guy in that ER most of the time. I hope that child grows to understand and celebrate the father's suicide rather than have the more common reaction of "he's dead because of me". I've seen a lot of kids that process change, death and trauma very well until some professional gets ahold of them and purposely "draws out" the sadness, depression, etc and then just keeps pulling on it, lingers on it and just shoves it back in. When there are ways to help and teach and support without causing depression.
this just shows, how much love goes into family. Some doctors may not understand him doing it but others would, as they also have a child and would do anything for them.

Basically, the new COO told Lanik that he couldn't authorise the transplant - so he followed what she said. At the end of the episode, its shows that he feels bad about what happened and talks with the COO but she's like "Just because he's dead doesn't mean the decision wasn't the right one."
That new lady whatever her name is. Needs to go as she makes dangerous and stupid decisions and overall has no heart and basic morals which you need if you are ruining a hospital. 2:43 Real headshots are even more disconcerting. A instant-death wound to the brain like that ruptures many blood vessels, but not enough to instantly bleed out. The heart still pumps for a time, so blood would regularly gush out of the wound with each pulse and compression.

It's not to save him but to keep his organs intact. Every cell in our body needs oxygen and glucose to function and to "Stay alive". These two are provided by the blood and the cells keep getting new Oxygen and Glucose because of the blood circulation. So once your heart stops (you die) the circulation is interrupted and the cells in all your organs don't get any more oxygen and glucose to function so they die and the organ becomes useless. Each organ resists a certain amount of time without new blood and I think kidneys are some of the ones that die off quickly. So Dr. Choi is making sure that this man's death is not in vain, he makes sure he can save the child by keeping the man's kidneys usable. I hope I explained it well. He couldn't. The man was a criminal. If he had donated a kidney to his son, he would have had to have continued to go back for dialysis afterward. The government doesn't want to pay for additional medical treatments for criminals that are deemed unnecessary, so they don't allow convicts to donate organs (at least while they are alive). Even though it's sad, that was the only way they would allow the father to donate his kidney to his son; if he were dead.
@@Tushiwushiful That is true, requiring dialysis would be due to complications. But there are many other reasons prisoners are denied the ability to donate.
