really love this scene. Shows why Michael is the boss. He’s may be dumb, but he’s not an idiot. He doesn’t like exercising his power in negative ways but he will if someone is acting out of line.

Michael: “Hey, I thought you weren’t supposed to eat anything for a couple hours after you’ve had a crown put in?” Dwight: *having a small existential crisis for a couple seconds*
The funny thing is, when Michael offered him an M&M, Dwight said, "No thanks, I'm stuffed." Michael was so focused on his M&M gambit that he missed it.
Steve Carell is such a great actor. He has crazy range to pull of this super angry, betrayed, but thinly veiled look in a way that makes you wonder if he’s even the same person
Alex Nather that’s the point, the dentist was the cover-up for the breakfast with Jan so Dwight should have had just enough time to go to the dentist & not to eat 😊
Michael doesn't just chastise Dwight. He destroys him. He humiliates him. Forces him to beg, to grovel, like a dog. In front of everyone. He destroys the entire persona Dwight has spent so long trying to cultivate. Reminds Dwight who is really in charge. Honestly. This is like something straight from Machiavelli.
Check out "The Morning Show". Steve does an excellent job along with Jen Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. It's not horror, but it kinda shows his this kinda acting. ❤
Michael, the goofy boss who always aims to put a smile on everyone's face, totally destroying Dwights "tough guy" persona in mere seconds to the point where he's crying and begging at his feet is such a power move. On top of that he completely forgives him after showing him how severe the consequences of his actions could have been and making him feel that he was an inch away from being fired and losing his friendship. Total badass
Stanley only disrespects Michael when he thinks Michael will back down from him. Whenever he sees Michael has had enough he shifts his entire attitude.
@@FellowOfHammer lmao yea,the writers are great and all, but come on, this is a comedy show. The writers worry about comedy more than proving a weird point
I love how Michael goes through this whole dance to prove Dwight wasn't at the dentist when Dwight literally opens the convo with "no thanks, I'm stuffed"
I love how Michael subconsciously knows he always acts like an idiot. "You may think I'm kidding, and I understand that." Also his little smug grin at the end.😏
I see it a different way. He understands it because he agrees it doesn't make sense to make Dwight the new manager, it was easier do believe it was just a joke.
The best clowns are actually genius and no it's not a saying to justify stupidity. Putting on a clown persona is what intelligent people do when they try to run away from something or just want to cheer up people around them. Joker is the best example of the first one. Michael is a prankster, a meanie, with dickish dark humour but he is not dumb at all that's why he is the best. Anyway this show is a comedy to the point of abstraction 'cause average intelligence in this show is even lower than in real-world just for fun :3
i think dwight in his heart is just trying to do whats best for the company for angela's job security aka his girl after she got mad at him since they were in position of getting down sized michael always belittling him and he was getting a big head when jim left and he became assistant to the manager...this was humbling experience for dwight

I like how Michael kept the door open both to further humiliate Dwight in front of the rest of the staff but also to send a message to them all that no one crosses the king of the jungle and gets away with it. No one.
What a powerful acting performance. Steve really seems like a psychopath. He doesn't blink, his monotone voice, the way he held Dwight's head, to the way he said "can't you?". Always reminds me of the film 'usual suspects' with the suspence, seriousness and comedy balanced into a scene.
Jesus died and rose again to save you from hell, but you have to accept him as your savior first. These Bible verses explain how you can accept Jesus as your savior and have eternal life (John 3:16, Romans 3:23, 3:10, 5:12, 6:23, 5:8-9, 10:9-10, 10:13, 10:17, 8:28, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 11:1-3, James 1:17, 2 Peter 3:9-10, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 21:4-6) :)
If you turn on captions on the moment where Michael tells the truth, you can see that Dwight is trying to recover by saying that Sebring is cool and that it have CD and cassette player Didn't noticed that before :)
This shows that even though Stanley dislikes Michael, he doesn't question that Michael can manage the branch in comparison to Dwight at this point in time.
Kevin: "Do you have savings? You might lose your condo." Kevin is often dumb and slow but sometimes in the little moments suggest that he understands thing in ways most people don't.
Most minor characters weren't nearly as developed in beginning as they were in the end. At first I thought of Kevin of as this monotone, overweight, inexpressive guy who talks a little slow. It wasn't until the later seasons that they just went with him being the dumb guy.
to be fair dwight is the assistant ..mike makes him lose the to in the fight but he does not get a pay raise and he gets no power..so its just a name change cause its a made up position that mike made to have dwight listen to his whims with hopes of being manager one day...

Michael doesn't just chastise Dwight. He destroys him. He humiliates him. Forces him to beg, to grovel, like a dog. In front of everyone. The best clowns are actually genius and no it's not a saying to justify stupidity. Putting on a clown persona is what intelligent people do when they try to run away from something or just want to cheer up people around them. Joker is the best example of the first one.
