What a powerful acting performance. Steve really seems like a psychopath. He doesn't blink, his monotone voice, the way he held Dwight's head, to the way he said "can't you?". Always reminds me of the film 'usual suspects' with the suspence, seriousness and comedy balanced into a scene.

Michael really showed his stuff when pressed against the wall. His best moments were here, dealing with Stanley (did I stutter), the sit down with Wallace/Charles, and when he hires Danny Cordre, all situations where he almost made the situation worse but came out on top.

Here you can see why Michael became the boss. He knows politics when he sees it and deals with it spectacularly. Instead of firing him and potentially losing his best salesman, he turned the situation around and earned Dwight's undying loyalty.

Problem of narcissism.
The rest of the branches got shut down while Scranton remained open. Corporate tried to fire him and his employees multiple times with no success. I'd say that Michael isn't as dumb as you think he is. But he's definitely lost his sanity a long time ago. The same goes for dwight lol.
I love the fact that when Michael tells everyone that Dwight is the new manager, noone cares about Dwight being promoted but that Michael is stepping down. You would think they would love that Michael is no longer in charge....and thats so far from the truth.

I love Angela I find her (character) fascinating to explore but sadly it wasn't the case :/ because her story has a lot of plot holes but still a great character in my opinion. She's so manipulative than idk if she's "bad" or "good" but definitely I like her

Angela is the one manipulating Dwight to get him to steal the position of branch manager, similar to how Lady Macbeth made her husband kill King Duncan and take his place. I'm sure that the writers had it in mind when they wrote the episode.

Everyone's talking about Michael being smart, but Kevin was actually looking at Michael's situation rationally and was really concerned for him.
kevin just realized that he wasnt the only one in the office hiding their intelligence. dwight is always trying to show it off, jim has his pranks, creed... is creed. but it was a shock to kevin that someone might have been on his level.
He still couldn't tell Michael wasn't being serious...just listen to his tone.

Michael, the goofy boss who always aims to put a smile on everyone's face, totally destroying Dwights "tough guy" persona in mere seconds to the point where he's crying and begging at his feet is such a power move. On top of that he completely forgives him after showing him how severe the consequences of his actions could have been and making him feel that he was an inch away from being fired and losing his friendship. Total badass
I like how Michael kept the door open both to further humiliate Dwight in front of the rest of the staff but also to send a message to them all that no one crosses the king of the jungle and gets away with it. No one.

The best clowns are actually genius and no it's not a saying to justify stupidity. Putting on a clown persona is what intelligent people do when they try to run away from something or just want to cheer up people around them. Joker is the best example of the first one. Michael is a prankster, a meanie, with dickish dark humour but he is not dumb at all that's why he is the best. Anyway this show is a comedy to the point of abstraction 'cause average intelligence in this show is even lower than in real-world just for fun :3
