- We opened up a new sequential LED strip from Profile Performance to show you just what to expect from these new flexible LED strips. You can find them on our website here: sparksmith.com/collections/ha...
How can you tell which is right and which is left?
Is it possible to change the direction of the sequential pattern? Some applications will require the wiring to be on the other end, and it would run the sequence the wrong way
No, the only thing you could do is make the wires longer
Spark Smith would there be any way to de-solder the connection, and solder it to the opposite end?
@@dreamreaper3k not that I know of. It would certainly void the warranty. And it would be far easier to just make the wires longer.
Have you had any problems with them?
Have a pair and they failed within a couple of days
No, so far all the ones we have used or installed have worked great. You're covered under warranty, if that helps at all.
Chris Vargas same here it’s annoying it’s been failing
Can I make a c shape with these? How flexible r they
They can bend front to back, but not side to side. So you can't make a 'C' shape unless you have the LEDs facing to the inside of the 'C'. For that, you would either need something completely custom or possibly the XK Glow sequential strips (sparksmith.com/products/2pc-sequential-switchback-led-strip-kit-drl-turnsignal-for-headlights)
I installed these and im having this problem where they stay on afther the car is off and even afther i put the alarm the keep staying on? What can that be?
Add a resistor in parallel with them, that should do the trick
Spark Smith what does the resistor do? Im not sure how too install that resistor? So they stay on because they have too much current?
@@wolfpredduenas5152 the strips don't draw enough current. There is something in that circuit with some small amount of capacitance, providing voltage after the vehicle has been shut off. Putting a resistor like this one: sparksmith.com/products/morimoto-hd-load-resistors-pair?_pos=4&_sid=ee3c4e4b6&_ss=r) should take care of the problem.
Spark Smith do you have a video of how to do the wiring? Becaus im already tappin to the fuse box with one of the wires from the turn signal harness.
Can you cut them???
No, these cannot be cut.
