I know Lars gets a lot of shit talked about his drumming - but this entire concert is like a big middle finger right in the face of all those critics.
Every performace here is right on point, and the whole thing just gives me ENERGY!!!

Lars was a good drummer and is pretty good till this day however Lars and Hetfield run Metallica so everything you love about Metallica Lars have something to do with it.

I remember this tour. It was my second time seeing them live. They always put on a hell of a show. But it was the last time that they really sounded like Metallica. After Justice, it seems that they became more of a business and kinda lost their ferocity and passion for music. I did see them one more time after that during the tour for the Black album. That was also a great show even tho that album showed a different side of them. Their new music is more true to their roots and they will always have a great stage show, but I get the feeling like they're just going through the motions. Metallica was my introduction to thrash metal.

Fuck yeah bud, I can’t agree more. And yeah Metallica and kreator were my introduction into the whole thrash scene. I bought The justice album on LP, still have it. I actually can’t listen to any albums after the black album, beside a few songs off death magnetic. But yeah they are definitely going through the motions.

ELECTRIC REACTIONS I'm glad I'm not the only Metallica fan that feels that way! Lol!

Totally agree lol. The black album is pretty fuckn heavy for its time though.

ELECTRIC REACTIONS Yeah it was! I actually really liked it! It wasn't classic Metallica, but it was still really good. And the tour for that album was awesome! Their stage was set up in the middle of the arena. Before their encore, they were acting as if they were having technical difficulties with the lights and stuff. There was a guy who climbed up on a rope ladder to the lights. Them when he got up there, lighting started blowing up all around him. He climbed back down the ladder on fire and someone at the bottom put him out! Lol! Then they did 2 encore songs under about 50 drop lights that was hung from the scaffolding above. It was awesome! To make things better, Corrosion Of Conformity and Alice In Chains opened for them that night.

Yeah Completely understand Mick's take on Metallica. the First song I heard from Them was Sanitarium, and hearing everything they've done after the black album.I can understand it being somewhat of a shock to the system lol I maybe I'm in the minority but I loved some of every album they've ever done minus LULU of course 🤣
