Good morning Dan! Next time Dorsey sends you a care package, make sure they toss something in there for Bailey. She looked like she was expecting something out of that mail. You two stay safe out there.
@@onetuliptree that would be a awesome dorsey commercial, the hat with super trucker Dan logo and yes hat orange same as truck, by Baileys legs have lil spread axle look
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. The thing I like about your videos is there about trucking. No personal stuff just what you go through from day to day, what’s involved and how you keep your equipment up and up to standard. You talk about where you fuel and why. Your so old school, Dan. You know ahead of time how to plan your day where your going to stop and fuel and why you stop where you do. Just good old fashion trucking. Ranks high in my books. Dan you have a great and a safe day, happy trails and happy motoring….
Dorsey Trailers are High Quality and are Great Looking. There are Other Trailers Companies but they Don’t stand behind their Products the same. Thanks Dan! 👍
It was great to meet you at the station last week. I always enjoy your down to earth attitude. My nephews semi caught fire and burned up in front of his barn Friday. The fire department said it appeared to have started in the dash. He loved that truck and just had the motor rebuild last year. I often pray for your safety. There's a lot of crazy drivers out there!
Dan, them knees hurt because of all the crazy exercises we did in the Army. I got out of the Army in 88. I pull Dorsey trailers that were made in 88. They are still making 💰. They go round and round the factory.
Hi Dan, to help with condensation and frost on the inside of your windows, get on Amazon and get a small dehumidifier, put it in the sink, it will drain outside. We’ve used one while camping in cold weather, does a good job keeping the windows clear and dry.
Daniel, nice to hear from you with your video….take care out there as you are always fighting an up hill battle….I always appreciate what you have time to post….thank you
Hey Dan, Your comment about your APU having an exhaust leak got me thinking. Given your super sleeper is probably bathed regularly with CO emissions from just opening a door or hatch when you are fueling or parked near other idling semis, I imagine a Carbon Monoxide detector would be emitting little yelps every one in a while so having one could be a pain. On that assumption and given that CO once ingested is tough for us to get rid of from our blood supply so it can result that a person can begin to suffer cumulative effects of small but regular exposure. Your blood becomes less able to carry oxygen to your brain as more "sticky" CO circulates, making people less and less aware or operating at your best and ultimately what causes highly exposed people to just drift off to sleep. Now that you mentioned that little exhaust leak, would you consider making an immediate repair and a video ASAP? As a retired cop and former MCSAP practicitioner, I came to believe that a portion of drivers, particularly OTR folks who who have crashes resulting from unseemly or downright boneheaded actions may well be well rested, unimpaired by drugs or alcohol but instead were suffering from the lingering affects of moderate amounts of CO ingestion, something not tested except perhaps if a driver dies and has an autopsy performed, an unusual step in most cases I was involved in. Thanks for your consideration, Dan.
@pettyfogger2305 As a 40 year career auto mechanic and a person having multiple medical professionals in the immediate family - I've seen a lot and heard a lot. I agree with you, CO is some bad JU JU that can sneak up on ya. People commit suicide all the time by starting a car in a closed garage and simply fall asleep, never to wake up. Pretty painless way to go I guess ?
@@daboo7725 Thanks for affirming my theory or it's potential. Other than a victim's skin getting cherry red like a bad sunburn with a fatal or near fatal dose, I believe that just like alcohol or weed, one's mental and physical abilities will imperceptibly decline except CO affects will hang on for
I agree with you. Since the worm burner exhaust systems came about (i have one thanks California?). I always smell fumes. And when trucks are parked tight on either side its a real issue.
Must be a big warehouse near that Loves with all those bobtails parked there including the one blocking the fuel island where you first pulled in. You should put those big Dorsey stickers on the tool boxes on the trailer. Just cut the sticker where the doors split.
I used to work at Mercedes, they use those odd designs on those wraps to distort the body lines on new models, in case someone takes photos before the model details are officially released.
I concur with this, Freightliner runs a test circuit on the highway past my house most of the year and it's always neat to see the new digital camo that they come up with. It's pretty effective.
The folks at @KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial are restoring the original Dorsey trailer used in the Knight Rider TV series. No doubt they will need some Dorsey Parts! I believe Dorsey is helping them out with the restoration. You should do a crossover episode where you deliver some Dorsey parts to them!

Two questions #1 How bad does the time change affect you going from state to state. #2 don't you get tired of shifting gears especially in heavy traffic.
When buying fuel, do you calculate the raw fuel cost before taxes? Even though IL fuel at the pump, which includes the IFTA taxes, might be more expensive, you should calculate what the pre-tax fuel cost is by subtracting each state's per-gallon IFTA tax at the pump from the advertised price. When you do your business taxes, you are going to calculate the actual IFTA tax owed verses what you paid at the pump, based on the miles you drive in each state. It's better to get the lowest raw fuel (pre-tax) cost, rather than the lowest pump price.
Hey Dan you said something about that white wrap on cars on car trailers. It's for protection against stone chips an other debris hitting the car or truck while it's in transport
Are Dorsey trailers still built in Elba, AL? They used to build great refrigerated trailers.....As far as Wal-Mart parking lots go, truck drivers are they're on undoing......everywhere they've been run off. You cant throw trash and pee bottles out on the ground and expect property owners to put up with it.

Not all Walmarts let people stay overnight. It's best to call and talk to the store manager and ask from what I understand. I personally never stayed at one when I was OTR.
I watch all your videos, you talk about fuel prices, I was driving when fuel jumped to $1.00 a gallon. what you pay to fill up I could would last me a month. the company I was leased to put a fuel surcharge then they just charged customers more money. you keep on doing videos, I'm 80 years old and stopped driving about 20 years ago. all Peterbilts, one with the 86 inch cab the rest with the 110 inch cab, big bunk, nowhere as nice as youes. pull toy here

Yup, manufactures wrap vehicles to throw off body lines. Even Navistar wraps their new trucks while doing road testing.

That Loves on 370 in Missouri is terrible locals have taken over all parking
whats up with all the bob tails at loves?
