The view on I-26 from NC to TN and down to Johnson City is 10 times more spectacular than being stuck in that right lane for 20 miles of the gorge to TN. You made the right decision!
If you come back through the I-40 gorge westbound again you can get around the mess by taking exit 27, driving through Maggie Valley and take 276 back up to 40. It’s only 15 miles and all four lane.
30 years quite a few days with a steering wheel in your lap. If you don't want to talk take a break from talking. We understand 😪😓😞. Get well Mr Dan . Safe travels 🚛💨💨💨💨
The older I got the worse the pollen effects me like you it never did until I got into my 50s great video keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe
Going this morning for a complete check up, been experiencing all kinds of symptoms, don't know if I got something going on or just old age! Hard to stay healthy sitting in a truck all day!
Right after the break check pull off at he TN/NC line there are 5 or 6 mountain goats that graze next to a truck escape ramp. Love the view coming through there. That is also where the Appalachian trail crosses. So beautiful.
I had what appears to be that same crap Dan, it kicked my butt pretty severely for about 2 weeks. You almost came by the house!! If you had taken I26 on to Kingsport to 11W then 11W to 25E you would have drove by here, but 11W has several red lights until you get 5 to 7 miles or so west, which suck in a truck, so I can understand going I81 to 25E instead.
Cheyenne, WY. Founded by UP Chief Engineer Grenville Dodge July 4, 1867. The infamous Dale Creek Trestle was a few miles West. Thanks fro an "Original Transcon RR" enthusiast. PS: hope you feel your normal self, soon, Dan.
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. The music was so relaxing. Kind of what your channel is like. I use to hate getting sick on the road. It feels like it’s worse on the road. Staying out for a month at a time puts a different spin on things. Less need to rush. Yes the customer gets serviced but if ya load or unload the next day it’s not as bad as doing short trips then going home. Tha big truck was one of the best things you done. You have so much more room. Anywho Dan great video. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring. Hope you feel better soon….
The pollen count hasn’t been this high in a long time. Before I got some meds to control my allergies, when spring came I felt like I had a cold unlike any other. Try some Flonase .but you need to stay ahead of it. That works for me. Good luck Dan.
Welcome to the East and the Smoky Mountains. Justin of JustTruckin lives in Simpsonville just outside of Greeneville SC. I live 2 hours west of Asheville. They have been doing construction on I-40 heading in to Tennessee. It seems like it's been going on forever. I was just up in Asheville at the VA on Friday. I hope you feel better soon. Stay safe and big hugs to Bailey.
I heard your interview with the Red Eye Radio folks. Since I’ve been with you since the early days, there wasn’t really any new information, but I enjoyed the conversation and hearing you in a different platform. Hope you keep feeling better. Have a safe ride to WY
Sound simple, but take basic bar of soap, first wash your hands through and then rinse with water, then take soap, with your hands and create simple lather and use that wash your face with soap lather, especially around the eyes and nose. Then rinse with plenty of water. Do not use a towel to dry your face. Let it air dry. Try doing this a 2 or 3 times a day and the allergen reactions should stop quickly.
Being sick on the road sucks I know that. Get some antihistamine and take one see if that helps. I know my allergies this time of year kick my butt. Stay safe and get well soon. I will see you on the next one.
Hope you feel better soon , this malady has been making the rounds , be careful and if it doesn’t clear ,get checked as it seems to end up as “ walking pneumonia “ in quite a few of our friends? They blamed the Spring allergy issues at first.
Coil racks could come in handy in the future or maybe you could just return them to the coil supplier and they will get recycled back into the system. I used to haul a lot of coils and I believe the receiver of the coils used to collect them and then return them to the coil manufacturer to reuse them. The ones we used were made of heavy gauge aluminum and seemed to last forever. The 4x4's eventually wore out and were replaced as required.
Thanks Dan for another interesting video showing being an owner operator you have to carry on even if you’re not 100% Take care and stay healthy and safe on the highway of life 🌵🇬🇧👍
I remember being on the road and being sick. Ended up with pneumonia in Sioux Falls, SD in the hospital. Was not a good time. Get well. Be safe. Arizona is dry, warm and sunny.
In spring, the pine trees turn yellow with pollen in SC. It's a terrible time for all that live here. Almost everyone knows that gas and disel are cheaper in SC.
US 25 through TN into KY is a beautiful drive. I dont get to do it much but I love going that way every time. I26 is pretty steep for being an interstate but not a bad route either.
Hay Dan, just FYI The most recent bug going around the Midwest has a person down for the first couple of days. Then fatigue and dragging butt for 3 weeks before clearing up. You'll get over this in a while, hang tough.
When I had the same symptoms that you have , fever blister on lip, I would always have a sinus infection. A trip to the doctor was the only true remedy. Good luck and take care......
My last sinus infection lasted for over a week. And that was with being on the proper medications. Yes, sinus infections are contagious. My COVID-19 test came back negative.

“Bailey sees people outside” - as long as they’re not zombies you are safe! Good dog Bailey!
Hope you get better Dan, soon.
Sometimes it's good for the soul to take the road less traveled. A change of scenery helps.

It is so good to see someone use a Atlas.🎉 Stay safe love your videos

Probably got the COVID, I know he was tested earlier but don't trust it, I had it and very similar symtoms and feelings.

No harm in stopping at a clinic and seeing a doctor. You don't get enough rest and working on the road. Best wishes.
Feel better; Take care of yourself! P.S. Background music was off the hook!👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Being sick on the road sucks I know that. Get some antihistamine and take one see if that helps. I know my allergies this time of year kick my butt. Stay safe and get well soon. I will see you on the next one.

When I have sinus pressure, I use Advil Cold and Sinus. In Washington State, I have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter.
