Listening to the sound of the Jake's from that C15 and looking at the mountains over the long orange hood is a heck of a treat on a Sunday night. Nice to see you running 'out West' for a change, Dan. Have a great week!

Dan, I don't know how you do what you do. Driving mile after mile. My wife and I just returned to NC from Florida last week driving 633 miles straight and that wore me out. To know that each day you face hundreds of miles, I have to hand it to you, you truck drivers are super in what you do. Being 86, may mean I am over the hill guy. Love your videos.

Having a honest shop doing top quality work on your truck has to be a good feeling . I must be old school the sound of the Jake break tells that trucks under control downhills . I'm looking forward to seeing the truck climbing those beautiful hills in your next video. Thank you and your copilot for taking us all along for the ride.

I visited my old partner in Tucson and on the way home we stopped at the Grand Canyon. The plan was to take that same route you were on home. My honey woke up in the middle of the night crying, she did not want to go that way home because she is afraid of mountains (?) . She drove 200 miles out of the way so we did not have to go through Colorado.

I15 and I70 are so familiar to me. It was nice to see them again. My wife and I drove from Escondido, California to Evansville, Wisconsin every Fall (18 years) since I retired. Sadly I lost her in 2021 and at 83 years old and alone, I won't ever make the drive again. But it was fun.

Sorry to hear about your wife. Maybe making the drive alone would be a nice way to remember the good times you had together making the trip. Fly in and drive a rental back maybe? I lost my dad and mom in '18 and '21 respectively, it sucks.

Hi Dan here is a story I just have to tell you about tunnels..LongHaulLarry had a train horn on his truck, Big Blue, and every time we would go thru a tunnel he would let Big Blue say Hi..but of course he always made sure there was not a lot of traffic around so as not to wreak someone, but one time after looking for cars and not seeing any Big Blue had a to say a long Hi, after that a little small car passed him and had a beep beep to say..and that was so funny I thought maybe you would enjoy that little story about tunnels..Have a great day..😀👍🇺🇸

Made that run a lot from the late 90’s till 2013 from mesquite NV to southern Minnesota, beautiful drive. Not much going between Salina Utah and fruita Colorado saw many trucks burning there brakes up. Old guy once told me “ you come down the mountain one gear lower than you came up. Always worked for me. Helped a guy out of his flipped freight liner. Lost his brakes and flipped it on the last turn just above Georgetown Colorado. He was cut up pretty bad, and unfortunately his dog didn’t make it, every brake on the truck and trailer was on fire. Those poor line haul guys really earned there money in the winter. Love the videos, stay safe.
