There is no right or wrong. However there is conducive and detrimental.
in 200 years ppl will find "conducive" and "detrimental" to be just as morally condemning and we will have to go through this dirty business of semantics all over again.
There absolutely is right and wrong. Look up Natural Law
Somehow I am not satisfied with the answer. The role that is being played will be played as it is, regardless of the fact that the actor feels he is free (because he is just acting, he knows he is not the character he is playing). The actor will have to perform the role strictly as it is "written ".There is no freedom for the character. There never can be a plot change... Isn't it so? In all this, there is no denying there is the FEELING of freedom for the character. But there is no freedom for the character and the story isn't about the actor; it is about the character. I feel that this question of freedom or free will is irrelevant for the one who is in it's true nature or is aware of this fact because there is no story for it, the story is to the mind, not to the awareness. The awareness is not acting, the story is not awereness's story, it is the story of the mind and it will be performed as it is, no matter what! Isn't it so? I don't think the question has been answered clearly as Rupert would always do. He seems to want to make another point clear without directly answering the question.
Depends on how you look at it.Its not that the character doesn't have freedom but that the character is not there in the first place.Its an illusion.A separate self can't feel free because its not even there.Only freedom can feel free freedom being true nature,consciousness etc.But this is looking at it from a spiritual angle.
Methinks Rupert makes the point about *identification.* The actor is free UNTIL the actor truly begins *to identify with the character role he's playing.* The question of free will here, is if you identify with the limited Mind, or you identify with Pure Unbounded Awareness...
I totally agree Tuna, this was exactly what I thought and felt about Rupert's answer. I did not feel that he answered the question and he did not really give enough opportunity for the questioner to see and receive clarity to his question. When I heard the question about good and bad in particular I thought ah, this is going to be a really interesting video, one that many people seek an answer to, and then Rupert just kept talking about each one of us being a 'mini field of energy' and 'clouds' and such, and at one point said in the minds terms, there IS right and wrong, but in awareness' terms there isn't. I understand the point about the actor having to stick to his lines, and that the point is not to identify if awareness is to dominate, but this point doesn't in my view take us to any meaningful conclusion or answer to the individual's question. I really couldn't make sense of Rupert's answer - seemed rather a waffle to me! (unusually I have to say for Rupert)... In the end, I was as confused as I was BEFORE I heard his explanation if not more so! I bet the guy who asked the question was pretty frustrated too!
@@dyannenesty8624 true ,i think Tolle gave a better explanation of good and bad in the "New Earth".
He is saying the more we identify with the role/how we filter everything- through our conditioning thoughts feelings and stories, the less freedom we have because who we think we are will be reflected in the world. We are bound by our thoughts stories beliefs and conditioning.
However , if we take the direct path and spend more time connecting to our true infinite self that is truly free ( infinite possibilities) then we identify with the freedom love fulfillment wholeness that we are. The one where we are and have all possibilities available to us.

I understand what Rupert is saying here, but I don't think he really answered the questions.
If there is no matter and outside world then where does our breath come from? I can't seem to find the answer to this question
Breathing is just an experience, like any other. As such, it can be replicated in a dream at night (where there is no air). Therefore, there doesn't actually need to be air in this waking dream in order to have the experience of breathing. I hope this helps.
