Thank you for writing this down!
Where to find Krishna Menon books?
"The world appears to you so overwhelmingly real because you think of it all the time; cease thinking of it and it will dissolve into thin mist." (Nisargadatta Maharaj)
So helpful 🥰
Rupert Spira is synonymous with awareness!
Absolutely 😁
I was looking for this channel. Finally subscribed. Reminds me of Alan Watts. Brilliant. This man is a genius.
I thought the same thing. They both talk alike. Rupert has a humbleness to him.
I am so thankful; this is not a random coincidence but a divine appointment...
Indeed! So very grateful 😇
Or an algorithm
Or both + a little algorithm
Meditation is what you are not what you do.👌
The person is not what you are. It is something you do.
After two years of working through the transparency of things, treating it as an experiential workbook, I am so grateful for Rupert’s understanding and clarity. What I don’t get is why he feels the need to mock walking meditation. It is a practical tool for bringing attention in alignment with present moment body sensation. The person gets to directly experience some of what Rupert is talking about. And there is ample research documenting the benefits.
Sometimes teachers like to have a little cheeky dig at other methods only to make a point - which I'd say in this case is to express that it's important to not make spiritual enquiry a grim duty. Rupert personally finds the idea of being amongst nature and turning that into a mechanical practice unpalatable and is making his point that spiritual enquiry can be a beautiful embrace of life and nature around you. So I'd say take such a response from Rupert with a grain of salt. It's a very Rupert-flavoured response, embedded with his perspective which we've come here to listen to. Rupert has admitted that he sometimes encourages traditional medication practices for certain people. Rupert would also be the first to acknowledge that Ramana Maharshi is a far greater authority on the matter, and he certainly recommended such practices for some people who found their minds too unsteady to practice self-enquiry. Also, you may simply find you are drawn to mindfulness practice - that's also fine. Rupert would no doubt be the first to encourage you to go with the path you are attracted to. He frequently acknowledges the validity of the 'progressive' path (as opposed to only his own preferred 'direct' path).
Robert understands meditation is not what you do or what you do not do, if anyone thinks, mediates is better thinking about your issues all the time.
I would like to not be there.
I’m trying to get to that place where there is no irritation arising in me, no reification projected onto another. The suggestion seems to be, when my messages are free of any contrived expectations.
Nothing more than Rupert's books needed.
Great to see young people following their hearts.
I love listening to Rupert =) He has such a gentle and intelligent way about him, and a lovely voice. Its very relaxing.
Infinitely grateful for the book recommendations, a blessing straight from the horses mouth 🙏💖
Thank you brother for asking these questions. They are very important ones. Thank you Rupert as always for giving wonderful answers. The book name Rupert was struggling to pronounce is
Guru Vachaka Kovai .
I would recommend one more book and that is
Maharshi’s Gospel.
This is book is about Shri Ramana answering very important questions. It clears lots of confusion we have during our spiritual journey. Thank you everyone.
thank you
thank you. Which addition is the Guru Vchaka Kovai book? I find different versions on internet.

Hello, I only know one that is published by David Godman. That’s the one I read. Guru Vachaka Kovai (The Garland of Guru's Sayings) by Muruganar . Published by David Godman.
Thank you.
@@rheasnehmoy David Godman a very good interviewer. He interviewed Papaji cleverly which is great to listen and will clear your doubts.
@@anbukkarasimanoharan775 yes you are right. He is an excellent story teller too. When I listen to him or read him it just takes me back in those times. He has done excellent work by bringing all those stories from times of Shri Ramana , Shri Nisargadatta ani Shri Papaji. Hope you have watched his most recent interview. It’s too good. It has all the essence of Shri Bhagwan’s teaching. It’s on his RUclips channel. Thank you friend for reaching out. Take care.
I love Rupert's voice

Hi everyone.Take care of yourselves👍🤗🙏
Thanks...
You too, Keith. May we be happy😊
Take care of your self also 🙏
Thank you 🖤 it can be challenging to keep going
Thank you. 🌻
Beautiful conversation 🙏🙏
i just find nothing beats resting in self, i still be around people but i hardly speak, every relationship seems to small and insignificant and nothing as true love as what i found in myself. So i just sit peacefully and nod, everytime some one wants to drag something out of me, that isn't a question or call for help, i feel uncomfortable to say the least but all is okay
That sounds like an escape or retreat, resting in self. Resting in Self, there would be no others. Like looking back on a dream.

I think maybe an important part that a lot of people don't realize is in thinking there are four parts namely thinking, visualization, awareness, and intention or attention. Most of the time we are jumping all around in thinking or imagination. Rarely are most people in awareness state, or know how to get there, or to get into natural resonance instead or intentionally regulation.
Lovely conversation
As Nisargadatta has already been mentioned, i would like to suggest an amazing book different from others spiritual classics.
"More than allegory" by Bernardo Kastrup
On Religious Myth, Truth And Belief.
Non-duality, explained from an other ,extremely interesting vantage point!
@@djhumanoid i am a top fan of him and yes you are right, both interviews with Curt are excellent!
@@kellyalamanou5185 ah wonderful, I have a question for you then. I wish to get my engineer father a Bernardo book for his birthday this year, is there one books that stands out that would recommend for a logical thinker, that would open the door to the mystical?
@@djhumanoid hmm not an easy question...i am incline to think about his
"Why materialism is baloney" i have not read it,i have read "more than allegory"which is an amazing book but for those who are somehow already open to the transcendent..
That's why i think "why..." is more adequate for your father

i would recommend Nisargadatta's apart " i am that" of course

@@JH-ky4jf Thank you for taking the time to respond, with the titles of the three books in question.
to be awaken is to be aware of what u are doing, meditation is to practice to hold on to the awareness indefinitely, don't give attention to the world but be aware of the world and don't response to it
It would be very helpful if the RUclips Channel administrator included the names of the books/authors in the video notes. Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback. I'll certainly pass this onto the team for consideration.

Don't think, just listen.
Who was that book he recommended ? “Guru vachara Kovai” or something?

Instead of the usual bouquet this time there is a crystal clear bowl of water 🙂
Attention to the world? Fear and lies are the tow pillars of our so-called new world. Ever watched TV lately?
Yup. Good to notice what's going on.
At 3:12 there is an earthquake and Rupert doesn't even bat an eyelid. That's cool.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is it pronounced “speera” or “spi-ra”
@Dean Mitchell ?
Sp (ai) ra
🌈🦢🪷🌅💖🪷☺️🙏Amen🌅
This is not the correct way to go.......Rupert is very good but he believes a lot of things which aren't true probably.
J krishnamurti would be the one everyone should follow. He is the greatest teacher(non- teacher) since Buddha.
Don't get me wrong i love rupert very much....he taught me more than any body I knew before I will forever be grateful for that.
believes things like what?
@Dean Mitchell Bro rupert is just recycling what Advaita teachers have recycled for last 1200 years...there's nothing new. He belives in Advaita Vedanta. Yes JK is complicated, he was blunt and said the truth as it is. It may be hard but taht is the correct path. This Guru business in India has spread across North America too. You don't need no guru for self realisation.
@@ordinaryguy815 belives in a lot of things. He follows a philosophy that's Advaita Vedanta. All his anologies are just logical fallacies which force you to see things in a different way.
He is still a great teacher no doubt abt that...but till the time u realise that there is more than this.
Listen to some talks of each master wholeheartedly if possible. Then follow your heart. I feel that there is no single master suitable for everybody in the world at the same time.It varies from person to person. No Guru to many Gurus also possible.🙏
what self u talking about ..?🤣😂
