    You just saved me $$$. I was going to order the free wire for my 2013 f6b so I can listen to my Bike radio using sena 20s. I see I don't need it, I don't have a cb on my bike and I don't intend to get one. the Sena sm10 Is the way to go. I was wondering why you went from this unit to the sena free wire. Thanks and God Bless. Learning a Lot from your vids.

    And the only problem is if you have a CB radio
    You cannot talk back on your CB radio through the sm-10
    You can listen to your CB but you cannot talk on it anymore, sure wish they would have fixed that so we could talk on our CB still
    Thanks for your video great explanation

    I've got the freeware for my Harley. Pick it up yesterday. It works great. Does everything I was hoping it would.

    Chris, thanks a lot for this tutorial. I’m trying to unify my radar detector with Waze on my iPhone. It looks like the SM-10 might be the ticket!

    So I will need both the SM10 and the Free Wire to use my CB radio (transmit/receive) without the DIN cable?

      Congratulations on getting your Wing, don't just settle for any model, buy exactly what you want so you will be happy on the back end, even if it cost a little more. Let me know how things turn out for you Randy.

    Hello Chris. Very well explained. (2015 Street Glide Special with 7 pin din) I bought my FreeWire-01 a few years ago and I run the 20S EVO. Are the new Goldwings and Harleys with Apple Play completely Bluetooth wireless? Can you now run the bikes communication and music system wirelessly to your Sena without the FreeWire?

    Thanks for this, I have a Sena 30k and am trying to get my radar detector to work while Bluetooth to my iPhone. When I hook up it either takes my radar signal perfectly or my iPhone music. I can’t both to work wirelessly. Any thoughts?

    Very nice Chris. I purchased one for my F6B to pair with Chatterbox XBI2-H Plus BT units. I didn't try the AUX input but hopefully that will allow my helmet 2 helmet intercom function work better. I only tried the Audio IN port so far.

    • @chriscaliente5033
      @chriscaliente5033  8 лет назад

      Try the AUX, let me know how it goes.

    • @pcninja9266
      @pcninja9266 8 лет назад

      Both; Audio IN and AUX respond the same with my Chatterbox helmet BT unit. I press the circular button to talk to my rider and the intercom function connects for 5 secs and then returns to the music. I've paired the phone audio to the BT Chatterbox units and that works, only my rider to rider intercom function isn't working.
      Probably the different type BT units that I'm paring i.e. SENA SM10 with Chatterbox XBI2-H Plus. Sucks but I think I'll have to buy the SMH10 units for our helmets.
      Another thoughts?

      Hi Chris, trying to get my intercom function to work for more than 5 secs when connected to the SM10. Probably not something you've heard about but thought I'd ask.
      Thanks for the detailed videos, the SM10 connection with the F6B Goldwing is perfect. Will try the audio boost also.

      To my knowledge, the SM10 does not allow for riders to transmit to talk, but the Freewire will allow riders to talk via intercom. If both rider and passenger are using wireless helmets, than both will need a total of 2 Freewire's.

    Good video Chris. Thank you for posting. You mentioned needing "free wire" to be able to communicate "back". Did I over look you showing what the free wire looks like?

    Dear, is sena10 compatible with other Bluetooth headsets or does it only match headsets made by sena? I have a fodsport V8, does sena10 match with it?

    Hi Chris, I have been watching your RUclips channel for a few weeks now and like the content. I have a Honda F6B deluxe model and love it. I quite enjoy the audio system on the bike and have managed to Bluetooth it to my phone via a Bose Bluetooth adapter. However, I cannot answer calls through this setup. I have a question for you since you seem knowledgeable about the Sena products. Basically I want to listen to music on my phone through the bike's speakers but I would like to be able to take a call or make a call through the Bluetooth connected to my helmet (currently the Sena 3SB). Just want to use the helmet Bluetooth for calls only. Will the Freewire allow me to do this? If not can you recommend a way of setting it up with some other product? Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

      If you have a 12 volt cigarette charging power outlet, you might consider a Excelvan Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter that you can plug into a cigarette outlet, then bluetooth to your telephone to the transmitter, just select a clear FM station on your radio, from there you can stream your phone's music back through the bike speakers. As for your helmet, you can just use a Sena bluetooth wireless helmet headset to make and receive calls. Keep in mind that you can only have one device bluetoothed on your phone at a time, so either select listening to bluetooth music from the phone through the speakers, or select bluetooth your phone to your wireless helmet just to send and receive calls, but not both at the same time. Here is a product link for a Fm transmitter www.amazon.com/dp/B00HBLZ538

    • @chriscaliente5033
      @chriscaliente5033  8 лет назад +1

      You cannot communicate through a Sena SM10, it only to transmit music wirelessly to a helmet headset, as I made it clear in this video.

    I have that as well, got it when I got my bike with the Sena head sets. I never use it, just do not like the sound in the head set speakers. No Bass. Even when you hit the center button and amplify.

      A quality wired audio helmet system that plugs into the Goldwing 5 PIN DIN will sound better than a wireless bluetooth helmet system anyday. When I connect my Sena 20s to my Sena SM10 it does allow me to lisen to Goldwing Infotainment at highway speeds at good levels. The truth is that when a rider switch from a wired system to a wireless bluetooth, quality is subject to be reduced.

      My phone will snyc to my Sena head set and it does sound better. I like the actual speakers on the bike the best.

      Jim, I always motov when riding my Wing, therefor rarely listening to music, but today after reading your harsh comment about the SM10, I went out riding and played my Goldwing's infotainment / Ipod through my SM10 wirelessly to my Sena 20s, the music coming from my SM10 to my 20s headset sound amazing with plenty of bass and treble. I'm not sure why you think the sound quality is poor from the SM10 but I disagree with you. It very well just might be a poor quality radio station your listening to. I have a few questions, do you have an ipod/mp3? and what model Sena headset do you have connected to the SM10? have you connected a CD quality music source to the SM10 and lisened through your helmet? Please respond.

      Harsh? I never listen to the radio. I listen to MP3's I have the Sena 10's head sets and the speakers do not sound good to me with music, so I just don't use them. Nothing harsh about about or towards you?

    The cable does not come with the purchase of the SM10, the part number is SC-A0121. I bought mine from Amazon.
