As a Turk i visited Greece twice this year, the first, i visited Athens, Thessaloniki and Meteora and second visit to Chios island. Being Turkish in Greece was great, i was offered a free uzo in a seafood restaurant just after saying i am from Turkiye with big smiles and some Turkish words, no other people in the restaurant got free :) In an icecream shop the owner lady talked only to me after learning i am Turkish, she told me how much she loves Turkiye and Turkish people with big smiles. I have visited 24 countries mostly in Europe so far, nicest were of course Azerbaijanis, Greeks, Palestinians and Armenians whom i met in Syria and Lebanon.

Honestly everyone knows western half of Anatolia, Entire coastal regions of north and south anatolia were Greek people's land until a few centuries ago. And the inland people were mixture of Native Anatolians, Greeks, Persians, Celts and culturally highly hellenized during the Hellenism and Roman era. Eastern half of half was land of Armenians. Southeast was predominantly Kurdish land with some population of Christian Arabs so called 'Syrians'. Northeastern coastal region was Georgian land. Even during Rum Sultanate era which made Anatolia became part of Turkish power, the majority of people were predominantly 'Rum' which is Greeks. And during the 600 years of Ottoman Empire the inland area became Turkified. Turkish became main language of most of Anatolia's inland except for some regions like Capadochia. Many of the eastern regions became multucultural regions that with mix of Armenians, Kurds, Azerbaijanis(shia turks) and Sunni Turks but with more traditional turk lifestyle. But their face is still same with the people who lived in Anatolia before 'Turks' migrated. The appearance of Greek speaking Byzantine guy who lived in Nicaea and the appearance of 'Ay Yıldiz' flag waving muslim turkish guy who lives in present day Iznik are same. Nothing has changed. Honestly everyone knows western half of Anatolia, Entire coastal regions of north and south anatolia were Greek people's land until a few centuries ago. And the inland people were mixture of Native Anatolians, Greeks, Persians, Celts and culturally highly hellenized during the Hellenism and Roman era. Eastern half of half was land of Armenians. Southeast was predominantly Kurdish land with some population of Christian Arabs so called 'Syrians'. Northeastern coastal region was Georgian land. Even during Rum Sultanate era which made Anatolia became part of Turkish power, the majority of people were predominantly 'Rum' which is Greeks. And during the 600 years of Ottoman Empire the inland area became Turkified. Turkish became main language of most of Anatolia's inland except for some regions like Capadochia. Many of the eastern regions became multucultural regions that with mix of Armenians, Kurds, Azerbaijanis(shia turks) and Sunni Turks but with more traditional turk lifestyle.
But their face is still same with the people who lived in Anatolia before 'Turks' migrated. The appearance of Greek speaking Byzantine guy who lived in Nicaea and the appearance of 'Ay Yıldiz' flag waving muslim turkish guy who lives in present day Iznik are same. Nothing has changed. The original Turks have face like Mongols and Siberians. But look at Turkish people who claim to be the sons of Göktürk and Mete Han.
Are they reaaaaaaally Turks? Or just some Anatolian folks that learned Turkish language of their ruler and following Islam
