Gas knob saviour here! Thank you for your advice on fixing my stuck gas hob knob - it worked perfectly! I especially appreciated the part where you explained that the knob must be taken off and a mini wrench should be used to avoid wearing it out. That tip made all the difference. Your clear and detailed instructions saved me a lot of frustration. I highly recommend this guide to anyone dealing with the same problem!"
I tried this on my oven today as the knob had jammed and wouldn't turn on. At first it didnt work but after 3 hours I tried to turn the knob and it's working again. You just saved me £££.......thank you :-)
Had a stuck knob on my gas hob, bought the gas tap grease and followed your advice, but didnt try forcing the tap, as I was afraid I might end up with a gas leak. After leaving the grease to soak in for a few days, it is now working as new. Thanks very much for your advice. You’ve saved me a big bill and I’ll have 4 working rings to cook Christmas dinner😁
@@northwestgascertificates I purchased WD-40. The knobs are going up and down now but not left and right. Hope it will move after few hours. Is WD-40 a good product for this purpose?

Great news 👍
Thank you for this amazing video !
And idea where i can get the gas tap lubricant? Im in Canada
Regin gas tap grease. You can purchase from Amazon 👍
How the heck does the grease get into where its suppose togo....it has to get right down in to the taper
How do you fix a stuck knob on a gas hob with a flame supervisor device on it?
A bit trickier but same really apart from you need to push the spindle down at the same time as turning it. 👍
How do you take the knob off - mine is stuck - not going to force it as it might crack.
Most will come off. Just got to ease it gently..
Hi , what do you do for knobs that push down first. Mine doesnt push down or turn
Same...get some grease on and make sure you get it pushing in and out freely before you start trying to turn it at the same time
This brand is not available on Amazon Canada. Any other brand of ointment that you recommend?
If you google gas tap graphite lubricant grease you should find some other brands👍

Wd40 isnt great. It needs to be graphite grease
Does oil work
I would always use specific gas cock grease. There are many available and not expensive
I need to know what to do when this doesnt work😢
A new hob from Screwfix is only about £75. Sometimes its better to just replace for new...
Apparently white lithium grease is better
Will have a look 👍
