Good morning Sarah! Thank you so much for this pattern. Really am going to try this. Thanks for all that you do. I really enjoy your calming voice. Have a great day.
I tried several other patterns starting with the brim and working to the crown with much difficulty. Your pattern was easy to do and not complicated. Making 7 more of these for gifts. I did add an extra round at the end to close the hole more since not adding pom-poms to the guys. Going to attempt to do one for a messy bun next. Was thinking I can just do SC around the hair elastics at the end. 🙏
I was wondering, approximately how long is the hat at the point right before you start the stitch decreases vs the final length? I used a much bulkier yarn and i think i may need to omit some of the repeated rows in order for the hat to sit proper on the head
I also used a bulkier yarn and it's huge and super slouchy. I was thinking I'd need to leave out a few rows as well. Even with a worsted weight yarn, I think.
If you just don't like to (or have trouble with slipstitches), you can single crochet alto make the brim instead, putting the sc through both loops of the first and last stich and in the back loops of the ones in the middle
Excellent tutorial..thanks for no distractions..you spoke clearly n slowly for all the newbies.. awesome teacher ❤
Thank you so much!

Love all of your hat tutorials
Where do you buy your Pom Poms?
Thanks
I had to use a needle to get into the last stitch. If you have trouble with the last stitch, widen it with a needle! It helps!😊

For brim how do you know what is right. Side?
Can you make this beanie into a wearable like a sweater❓️ I'm not good at knowing the count for wearable, like the shoulder part.
I'm itching to make a long sweater.
I'm using an aran wool and the beginning seems to be very firm is this ok or should I use a thinner wool.
Making it
I’d like to adjust this for a child, age 5. When would I begin the decrease row?
Do you have recommendations on size for 8 year old boy?

Do you have a pattern for a hat that has words crocheted in, like, Let It Snow???
