I hope you're all doing well. This week I'm going to share with you a very cute DIY refashion Men's shirt into this Ruffle shoulder strap top. It's such a little cutie outfit for my summer day. And it's also the third DIY in my "Me-made summer collection".
To make this DIY, check out some of my basic information:
- Sewing machine: Merrit Joyful Sewing
- Material: Men's shirt in XL size
- My body size: 82-64-92, I'm 165cm

EXACTLY what I was searching for. I just had a double mastectomy without breast implants and I have to redo all my wardrobe as, now, I am quite flat on the top with my little round tummy now popping up as if I am pregnant 😊 and it is exactly, exactly, exactly the pattern I was searching for. This turned out super cute! You have such a great eye for fashion! For someone with a larger bust, the front of the breast strap (or “yoke”) would look cuter with darts or as separate pieces across the front with angled/curved lines at the bust apex (or the whole piece could be curved if there’s enough fabric but that would be a lot harder to draft).
Your DIYs are satisfying to watch. That's why I love watching them. Make more DIYs, please. You are so skillful and talented. Good job!💗

I made this last night in a different fabric pattern and i’m lovin it. 😍It only took me 4 hrs to finish the top considering i’m a newbie.Miss Jess’ measurements are sooo accurate and her instructions are very clear. Very easy to follow!! 😍

Hi Jess! This is so good. Question - if I wear a size women XS. What men shirt size should I use to make this top? thank you!!
You can use the XL men's shirt. But if it's XXL or 3XL, your ruffle will be more puffly. So don't worry if the men's shirt is too big

You can check the way I did my measurement and adjust it for your body
Wondering if you’re awake right now because I’m in the middle of making this dress and I am in the US and just can’t sleep. I have a question about the bodice, you mention that you take a dimension of 32 cm length for the upper breast to belly button measurement, but don’t mention the width. I’m not refashioning from the shirt I’m actually just making from fabric so I’m not sure how wide I should be cutting it.
Ah, to the width of the main body, if you make it from the scratch, it should be at least 1.5 times your bust size
