*************Relay Tester on my amazon store ************** - amzn.to/49WaR5H
As well I did a revised video that explained that the last relay was the starter relay. I thought I uploaded that one but I just realized I uploaded the unrevised video. But yes, the relay that I replaced was a starter relay. Also the new module was never programmed because there was never communication. Plus I also messed up on a part I was supposed to write “down” but I wrote “done” smh 🤦‍♂️

Each diagnosis is different but following the basics, scan the topology, check powers, grounds and communications will get you the information you need to proceed further if necessary.

As an automotive locksmith and 1 minute in this why I do things as I do and make customers mad. I tell them we open cars and make lost keys period. I do not and will diagnose any other kind of immo issue. Customers ask us to just come out and make a new key. I always ask if we make a key which I don't believe is your problem and it doesn't solve your issue are you still going to pay us? They think I'm crazy for asking that. I explain to them they diagnosed the issue and asked for a key so we need to get paid period. They 100% decline and I always tell them to take it to a mechanic. I thankfully never hear from them again. They are just trouble.

@@OzMechanicsI get these kinds of calls weekly. I explain keys either work or they don't. They aren't intermittent. They never believe me on this either. I always tell them to take the car in for a proper diag and they think I'm either lazy or nuts. It's usually cheap or poor people who I always say are both bad for business. They don't want to accept as a locksmith my job isn't to diagnose their no start issue. They always want to blame the key. It's almost never the key. They yell, scream and curse at me. I hang up and call block. We are busy all day so I don't need to make their problems mine.
Believe it or not I have more than a few text me a few days later hey A-hole took my car to so and so and they fixed it. You were no help. You don't know what you are doing. 100% of the time the fix had nothing to do with the key but I'm still the bad guy. People don't believe me there are people out there like this. I have had to become good at weeding them out over the phone.

People get mad after they say 100% it's the key and we make a new key then all the sudden omg I'm down a few hundred can you give me a break. Why because you diagnosed your own vehicle and don't know what you are doing and I come out spend my time and give you a new key and now you see the problem is something else you want a break. It doesn't work that way. People need to see that if you lose your key you call a locksmith but if the car just stops working call a mechanic. 😂

@@jorgemat8080Wow I thought I was the only one to get these idiots. I turn them down because I know where it's going to go. I ask them why they get so mad at me. Just call someone else who is willing to take their money. if I called someone and they declined my work I would just move on and not even think about. I charge at the higher end also because we don't use cheap UHS crap. We try to use OEM Fobs and keys when possible. Fun fact I'm local to UHS and they will sell to your customers.

always working behind the so called techs or diy, when parts are replaced and problem not fixed you have to do the right test like you did and thats when you find it and even the new parts they install are no good also which adds to your test time. i see it a lot, dont even get me started on ac systems. i no you kinda like me i try to always train and rise above. check out tom lech ac channel he is the true ac guy, i think you will learn a lot from him also
