This videos proves that even professionals have their bad days with Ramins voice crack. I'm so happy to have seen this as it reminds no body is perfect!
Absolutely spectacular! Ramin is my favourite Valjean and it’s so cool to see him perform the role with Colm - not only the original Valjean, but also his idol growing up.
The last 30 seconds are just beyond the words… when you reach that limit it means that your turn your performance into art. I wish i could have that tone and power
1:59 Other girls: I wanna be Cosette! I wanna be Fantine! I wanna be Eponine! Me: I want to be the girl who follows Colm Wilkinson around and gives him the silver!
@@at1212b I think what I meant was did they sorta acknowledge each other as themselves (as in colm and rami n) not their characters? If that makes sense
@@leefriedman3067 I think that's a reasonable thought. Ramin has said in interviews that he barely held it together while sharing the stage with Colm, between his own fanboying and a sensation of Colm passing a mantle, so... how much of it was how the scene played out (which will tweak with any given performance in the normal run of things) and how much of it was Ramin and Colm peeping out from Valjean and the Bishop? Who knows. But yeah, it makes sense that there's more of a blend than usual.
I'm so glad there's video of this historic occasion, Colm Wilkinson's only live performance as the Bishop of Digne.
dont forget ‘bring him
home’
@alanvaytsman great.

Also both were The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera
@@aam93Except Ramin is better cast for that role than Colm. Colm however is one of the best Valjeans and Judas.
💯 Agreed!

Is it me, or do LOVE the bishop’s nightclothes? They’re so aesthetically pleasing!
Wow. I so wanted to go. I worked down the street but my first kid was still young so it was a hard time to get free time.
He played the role of the priest in the film version of les mis.
아 진짜 콜롬윌킨슨 할아버지랑 라민카림루라니 ㅜㅜ 너무 좋다 ㅜㅜ

Honestly...Mood !!!
Did colm stay for the whole performance and played an ensemble member or was it just for the bishop scene?
Dumb q but probably obvious but, 3:38 is an unusual longer pause bc of the audience?
Definitely for Colm. This was for a charity event and he played it just once.

@@at1212b If he performed only once. Did he get his own costumes or he just wore what fit?
