    I'd put money on giving up sugars, grains, and foods fried in nasty seed and vegetable oils caused your blood numbers to look great. At least they did for me. Happy to hear your health is doing better! I want to see you around for a long time. I still have much to learn from you, Ray!! I did go ahead and get the Xero for a chrono. I was waiting for the FX to be available, but when I saw your little teaser about a month ago, I decided to wait. Got on the Area419 email list and just got lucky to wake up and check my emails right when it showed up. So I got the kit from Area419 with their mount. Was going to test it out yesterday and today, but we got about 3 inches of rain and the road to my range is too muddy to drive down. We needed the rain badly, so I'm not too upset, but I will have more work to do next weekend, then my 3rd PRS match the weekend after!! Hoping the Garmin helps me get good data for my Kestrel and I am on target better than my 2nd match. Some stages I did great, then the next I'd do terrible. I think I was doing a bad job using my Kestrel and getting wrong adjustments. More for me to learn!! But I'm having fun learning it all and trying to share as much of it on my channel. Hope to show people things that I do wrong and hopefully save some people some headache when they are new like me, lol.
    Have a great week and hope the match goes well for you. That Foretrex looks interesting. May add that at some point if I feel it's needed.
    Be well, good sir!

    • @XRING
      @XRING  9 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks Thomas! I basically cut out all sugar and candy like Snickers etc. I never drank any sugar drinks so that part was easy.
      As far as the foods. I ate a lot of boring salad and fruits initially. (No dressing).
      Then I began eating a lot of Mexican type bowls with long grain rice, beans, spinach olives, tomatoes etc. I also cut out a lot of the breads and tortillas.
      I learned early on that the plant based meats etc are not all equal and some are actually worse for you. No Starbucks Impossible plant based sandwiches!! That thing is bad for you. You really have to start paying attention to every label. Stay away from Saturated and Trans fat as much as possible. I always stayed hungry. Mushrooms and plant based pastas as well as steel cut oatmeal is good as well.
      I dropped over 20 lbs that I really didn’t have the extra weight to lose. The Cardiologist said that some grilled fish would be ok as well after losing so much weight.
      I do feel a ton better. It’s easier than what most people think.
      You can even eat green beans and pinto beans at Bojangles in a pinch. It’s been a learning process that I wish I would have paid attention to sooner. 👍🏼

    Wish you better health but know it is CARBS specifically sugar and other bad carbs is the problem. You do not have to get rid of meat unless you want to. FAT and PROTEIN is fine. Yes FAT is healthy. Good Luck.

    I'm all for giving up the greasy deep fried foods. That's what fixed your numbers. But, I'm never giving up meat.

      I felt the same way but 4 cardiologists convinced me otherwise. I have been diligent and I can’t argue with the progress.

    You were also smoking on one of the videos, if you did that for years that is a big risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

    Come on Ray you’re shooting Winchester ammunition who are you kidding. Give the rifle a real chance

    • @XRING
      @XRING  9 месяцев назад

      Well, it’s true. I have the Berger ammo but I’m saving that for Snipers Unknown. Not quite enough Sako TRG left to shoot this match.
      People say they have good results with the Winchester match. I’m still on the fence with that ammo.

      @@XRING well, you must not be serious about winning this match because you are a reloader. I have 3 MPR’s and you can get them to shoot 1/2 MOA with one hand tied behind your back

    Stay away from the seed oils and processed food. I would still eat a lot of red meat. Check out the work Dr. Paul Saladino has done.

    I've seen this guy smoke. Smoking plus bad diet is a disaster. Especially after 40 years. Meat has nothing to do with it. It's the garbage that people eat along with the steaks. My diet is 90% red meat, has been for over 20 years. Carnivore diets are not new, and they have been helping people for years. If it's processed or man made, don't eat it. If it has carbs and sugar, don't eat it. Do that and eat all the red meat you want and tell me if your health doesn't improve. Calcium score of 0 doesn't lie people.
