I know it’s actually a dubbing mistake, but Sonic cutting off Shadow here unironically makes the scene 10 times better. It makes sense too. Sonic is an impatient guy and he’s pissed off that Shadow got him thrown in jail, so of course he’s not going to wait for him to finish his quip before trying to beat his ass.
Sonic Movie 3 BETTER have a reenactment of this scene. Or the scene where they meet for the first. If it has none, then it won't be worth it. They are the single most iconic Shadow scenes ever, arguably one of the most iconic Sonic cutscenes in general, and to not have a reenactment (even if it's not exactly the same) would be a damn shame.
All jokes aside can we just take a moment to appreciate how cool this scene is? Without looking at the graphics, the over lapping dialogue. Just sonic and shadow doing an epic as fight.
I always interpreted this scene as them just talking over eachother when I was younger, similar to how we do in real life, when you're in a heated situation you're not just waiting around for the person you're fighting with to finish their sentence, so yeah while this isn't the reason it's like this, it's actually because the animation only syncs up with the japanese text... but hey, made for an amazing nostalgic memory, ah...
