I appreciate them letting Shadow show more of his goofier side without it being out of character, it's a lot more enjoyable than what the 2000s did to him. In turn, this gives some edge back to Knuckles who was meant to be a somewhat serious character but for a long time suffered the fate of the dumb/strong/comic relief guy.

You do realized that shadow has very right to be depressed in the early 2000s right and still has those moments in sa2,sonic heroes, shadow the hedgehog and final sonic 06 but the 2010 yeeeeah i can sort of understand that

Knuckles & Amy's sibling energy, Tails being unable to pronounce names, Shadow being a Swiftie, the subtle soft interactions between Sonic & Amy, Eggman telling he used to have luscious hair, Sonic getting bullied - man this was a great Takeover.
Honestly, it makes sense. Tails is the one out of the group that is primarily known for his intelligence being his strongest asset, something Eggman himself values highly. And he's very skilled with tech, and in fact frequently manages to pull off incredible feats not just with his own tech, but by hijacking something of Eggman's. Eggman may not _like_ him, but he's got to respect Tails' skills.
I love how at the end of this Takeover, Eggman says "Oh, and, if Twitter destroys itself, I'll remember you all." I like how Eggman recognizes that Twitter is slowly burning itself down.
It takes a petty evil genius to recognize a petty evil genius. And as Glorious as Eggman is, well, he's moved mountains, torn timelines and mishaped the moon all for the purpose of getting back at a burrowing forest rodent. He definitely is on a similar wavelength to Elon Musk.
Ok, from now on, every Twitter Takeover should involve asking what anime this character watches, singing the macarena, mentioning something about Shadow and his coffee beans, and straight up eviscerating Fadel every chance they get.
That ‘if twitter destroys itself’ comment at the end really underlines why I love these, haha. They really don’t shy away from having fun with everything and I love that.

I love that Amy both knew what Little Planet was and could name the zones. It gives some real consistency to Sonic's world, along with all the quotes from previous games that lets us know that there's no 'alternate universe' shenanigans going on and that spin-off games like Sonic CD are part of the canon.

He is serious and focused, but does care about his allies and saved Rouge instead of catching the Scepter of Darkness, showing his compassion. He also has two of his best lines in the series

Y'know, I always thought the Chaos Emeralds for each character went like this: Shadow -> green Knuckles -> purple Tails -> Yellow Sonic -> Blue Amy -> Red Eggman -> White/Cyan. Seeing Amy and Knuckles argue over the red Chaos Emerald is pretty hilarious though.
On a side note: Eggman thinking TophatGeo was checking him out is hilarious, but consider the fact that his AoStH counterpart was meant to be the most attractive fat man.

I love how the returning cast remembered their takeovers from the past and brought back their past moments like Tails's mint addiction albeit only saying he's partial to mints. With the new things we learned like the fact that Eggman had a man bun once, Shadow's a Swiftie, and that Sonic faked a speedrun. It's hilarious. Love these takeovers.
I love that Knuckles canonically leaves Angel Island to go over Cream and Vanilla's house just to watch One Punch Man 1. It's nice to hear Cream get a mention again 2. Gotta respect Knuckles here.

It’s also amazing to hear Dave B. Mitchell as Knuckles too!! After hearing his portrayal of the character in TailsTube #3 (feat. Knuckles), I have been more content with his Knuckles voice, which we now hear in Frontiers (both the game & the prologue animation), as well as the 6th Twitter Takeover!! It takes time for one to sound like Knuckles, but when one sounds like Knuckles, he becomes the voice of Knuckles, and now, Dave more than JUST the voice of Knuckles, he IS Knuckles!!You go, man!!👍👍
One thing I noticed throughout all these responses is that Sonic just sounds so done. Like even when everyone's bullying him, he barely fights back. It's hilarious, I just imagine him being super exhausted from his recent Starfall Islands adventure and immediately being thrust into this, and he's so tired that he can't even be bothered with his friends' crap. Also, we need more Amy-Knuckles sibling moments because that was ADORABLE. Her fight with Knuckles over the red chaos emerald was so funny, and it was such a sister moment when her stupid older bro got grape in his teeth and she gave him her floss to get it out. Shadow and Knuckles are both absolute Paladins. Knuckles' second class is Barbarian whereas Shadow is either Gunslinger Rogue or a spell caster like either a Warlock or a Sorcerer...
Idk if this was kirk Thorntons intention But hes actually characterized shadow pretty interesting here. There's been 3 seperate times that shadow has specified that he doesn't like wet food. The first time was the question with the coffee. Shadow specifically eats the coffee beans straight as he doesn't want "coffee flavored water". The second was when someone asked to marry him. Shadow specified that his dishes are to be prepared dry as that's all he'd eat on the arc. His third specification was when someone asked if cereal was soup. Shadow isn't trying to be edgy with his answer, he specified that he likes to eat the cereal dry. I like this weird interpretation of the character because it actually lowkey gives characterization to him and makes him feel more like a real person. It's neat

I also liked Sonic's comment about Strawberry Shortcake. It sounded like he ran to the other side of the room before saying it too, probably so he could avoid Amy's wrath. Also now we know what we must do if we want to marry Shadow. I wonder if RealShadowFan01 showed up at the Ferris wheel after all

It's only Canon in the takeovers though where the voice actors get to just have fun and be funny without needing a story. That's why at the beginning of most shows or movies extras menu or interviews they specify that the opinions or views of these specific people do not reflect the intentions or views of the production.
I did not quite catch that in this takeover though, still sounds like edge but now with sensory preferences Shadow’s preference for hard, dry foods could probably be from stress or something…

I appreciate them letting Shadow show more of his goofier side without it being out of character, it's a lot more enjoyable than what the 2000s did to him. In turn, this gives some edge back to Knuckles who was meant to be a somewhat serious character but for a long time suffered the fate of the dumb/strong/comic relief guy.

I find the genuine respect that Eggman has for Tails hilarious
Honestly, it makes sense. Tails is the one out of the group that is primarily known for his intelligence being his strongest asset, something Eggman himself values highly. And he's very skilled with tech, and in fact frequently manages to pull off incredible feats not just with his own tech, but by hijacking something of Eggman's. Eggman may not _like_ him, but he's got to respect Tails' skills.
This is something they touch on in Frontiers as well, one of his notes says that Tails is brilliant but it's a shame that he's stuck in Sonics shadow

It’s also amazing to hear Dave B. Mitchell as Knuckles too!! After hearing his portrayal of the character in TailsTube #3 (feat. Knuckles), I have been more content with his Knuckles voice, which we now hear in Frontiers (both the game & the prologue animation), as well as the 6th Twitter Takeover!! It takes time for one to sound like Knuckles, but when one sounds like Knuckles, he becomes the voice of Knuckles, and now, Dave more than JUST the voice of Knuckles, he IS Knuckles!!You go, man!!👍👍

One thing I noticed throughout all these responses is that Sonic just sounds so done. Like even when everyone's bullying him, he barely fights back. It's hilarious, I just imagine him being super exhausted from his recent Starfall Islands adventure and immediately being thrust into this, and he's so tired that he can't even be bothered with his friends' crap.
Also, we need more Amy-Knuckles sibling moments because that was ADORABLE. Her fight with Knuckles over the red chaos emerald was so funny, and it was such a sister moment when her stupid older bro got grape in his teeth and she gave him her floss to get it out.

There's been 3 seperate times that shadow has specified that he doesn't like wet food.
The first time was the question with the coffee. Shadow specifically eats the coffee beans straight as he doesn't want "coffee flavored water".
The second was when someone asked to marry him. Shadow specified that his dishes are to be prepared dry as that's all he'd eat on the arc.
His third specification was when someone asked if cereal was soup. Shadow isn't trying to be edgy with his answer, he specified that he likes to eat the cereal dry.
I like this weird interpretation of the character because it actually lowkey gives characterization to him and makes him feel more like a real person.

It was funny how Tails was struggling to say the people's names throughout this takeover. I'm also glad this finally confirms Shadow's dark chao that he's raising is canon. I also liked Sonic's comment about Strawberry Shortcake. It sounded like he ran to the other side of the room before saying it too, probably so he could avoid Amy's wrath. Also now we know what we must do if we want to marry Shadow. I wonder if RealShadowFan01 showed up at the Ferris wheel after all

I thought it was because the period from 2005-2010 was full of crappy games. Shadow the Hedgehog is just one of them. There’s also Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic 4, Sonic ‘06, Sonic Free Riders, Sonic Genesis GBA…I could go on…

It's only Canon in the takeovers though where the voice actors get to just have fun and be funny without needing a story.
