I just love this series. Sam is always helping us art babies and I live for it. So thank you so much Sam for considering us your babies and creating such amazing content. 😊😊
As a traditional artist, I use different liners. Microns also happen to be one of them. I like them because they're easy to use, and they have some nice colors. Though the annoying thing is, when they "dry" and then you erase your sketch, the line art colors fade. So sometimes i need to let it sit for 10 minutes so I can keep the original colors. or, additionally, i need to redraw the line art again. But I do recommend them even though they get a bit annoying, they're pretty easy to work with.
@@LUZELKI same, I don't press super hard so I can still erase but I can't control my pen/pencil/brush if I'm not putting a bit of pressure to keep from derailing/wiggling the line. I used to have some kind of fine motor issue as a kid so that's probably why.
@@moimoiyoop micron pen pigment sits mostly at the surface when it dries, so when you erase, a lot of it goes away. I press very lightly when I sketch but still lose a bit of pigment from the lineart when I erase the sketch underneath. Good thing is they don't bleed to the other page, so I think it's worth it :)

8:55 and here people we can see the example of why people think that digital art isn’t real art. Drawing hands aren’t that hard you will get better at them if you try
I think people can't actually sit down and study how to draw hands or anything because it takes effort, determination and especially time to get good at it, so instead of that they just make excuses and cheat with already made kinda, pointless digital software assets, brushes like that. I've never seen a finger brush like that ever but it's a cursed thing and it shouldn't be created in the first place
@@lambino_ I'm no art master but I see a common trend in these art sent in, in that they often have flawless rendering and colour, but their anatomy is wayyyy off. This tells me that many people skipped fundamentals and went straight to the flashy rendering. They do not want to sit down for literal hours drawing the same thing over and over again from reference to train their eyes to see these mistakes. Many experienced artists use the phrase "Your lack of fundamentals will show." and it's totally right. No amount of technology (like the finger-brush) will help.
So, story time. I had a coworker belittle my skill today because I was commissioned by someone else and they complained the price was too high… My coworker said “why would I pay 80 dollars for something I could watch a couple of RUclips videos on and do myself for free?” So I said “go try that on your lunch and let me know how that goes”. So I had to explain to him why what he said was absolutely ignorant especially given his lack of information about the art community and commissions and he apologized lol
art isn't as easy as many think.."why pay when I can do it myself" is something said about many jobs by people who've never done them before; besides even artists sometimes commission other artists, gotta support our fellow artists y'know?
