In all seriousness this is INSANELY helpful. As we progress we are teaching our intuitive mind to identify what looks "right" and "wrong" about the proportions we draw/paint. This really helps strengthen that process!

It's so interesting to me how almost every artist, when they're still learning, usually falls into one of two categories: knows anatomy well but can't properly render it, or knows values and lighting well but their proportions are off.

You can really tell how experienced this guy is… he always says there is a small thing that is keeping you from crossing the finish line and it’s so small yet weighs you down so much. But even though it is tiny, Sam can distinguish it from other things. Resulting in the art looking 10x better which is mesmerizing, the fact that he knows exactly what is keeping it from winning the race or reaching its full potential.

So far, the hardest thing for me has just been altering my art style, and that’s a personal choice because I just don’t like mine lol. Paper feel screen protectors and downloading additional brushes really helped me with the texture issue! Well done! I really appreciate how your corrections didn’t take away from the artists. I just finished watching some videos where the person completely overhauled the pieces that were reviewed . A lot of the charm and even the style of the originals were lost. The way you handle it actually leaves the artist’s work in tact. Love that! I certainly learned a thing or two here!

5:34 without the liquify she looks like she's wearing her long thick and coarse hair in a high ponytail (which many people do have that kind of hair and look like that with a ponytail). With the liquify tool she looks like she wears a headband and has her long and, now fine, hair down.
