  • This video is an excerpt from the Jewson Live Show video from a few months ago on my channel. In this episode, I review the FC1 Filler and Caulk in one, as well as the rattle can paint stripper known as Peel Tec. Both of these products are brought to you by the company behind CT1, making them ideal for both professional tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts. Martin from CT1 explains the uses of these products to help you decide if they are right for you.

      if they are big enough to fill, or open up to fill. Normally, hairline cracks over a ceiling, either use a reinforeced lining paper, like WallRock... or if you want just a paint, look at the Bedec Flex paint that covers hairline cracks like that.

      @@ProfessionalPainterDecorator Thanks 👍 hair line cracks keep coming back soon as the weather goes minus. I think I've found the perfect stuff tho toupret fibacryl flex filler, I will rake it back and use that and finish filler on top after, I've seen videos of people using expanding foam but I don't want the hassle even though it looks to be the best way.

    Phil, looking for some help. Painting stair spindles. From halfway the spindles run against a wall. About 1 inch gap. Can’t get a brush or small roller behind to effectively cover. Any ideas and please not the “sock”. Also watched your fussy blokes post and was wondering would application with the 10mm roller and then lay off with the 5mm work? His might prevent the 5mm flattening out. John

      timely.... staircase spindle painting (witha roller) is actually next thursday's video!!!
      Who builds a house with spindles like that. Get in as far as you can. can it be seen?
      Another option .... rattle can BIN, spray where you can't get to with a brush or roller, then paint what you can.
      Sock, try it. let me know how you get on lol

    I bought peel tec and it comes out like a thick glue and nothing like in the video. I tried it on gloss paint and it only took a layer of paint off so it would of been cheaper to buy no nonsense paint stripper as it does the same thing

    • @ProfessionalPainterDecorator
      @ProfessionalPainterDecorator  2 месяца назад

      was there a use by date on the can?
      I don't think the no nonsence is the same stort of stripper as i think you need to wash the surface down with water before painting over it. Whereas the Peeltec don't need neutralising with water

    CT1, is a great product, however due to its greedy mark up, its way over priced and damages its own brand due to greedy pricing. It doesn't cost that much more to manufacture but yet you ram customers fir ludicrous money. I love the stuff but its a last resort due to its cost. I would love it to be more realistically priced. Considering you can buy it on line fir £5 cheaper a tube than TOOLSTATION which £14 a tube seriously damages your image, and slows your growth. I want CT1 to be my no1 go to, but it isn't solely due to cost and greed of toolstation. And after speaking to many many site tradesmen, they ALL feel the same, give a realistic price, and it will be really popular. Disgusting prices, harming customer experience of your product

      This maybe something you want to bring up when you are next at a trade show (P&D show in a few weeks in Coventry) and ask why the pricing structure.
